Lance paused, turning slowly. "What?"

Allura teared up. "I'm pregnant."

"How the hell are you pregnant? You're a lesbian. The only person you've slept with is Romelle."

"Yeah, but she's trans."

Lance's jaw dropped. "Romelle is trans?!"

"You didn't know?"

"No! I didn't know!"

"Well, I don't think that's the part we should be focussed on." Allura replied.

"I can't believe that. And now you're pregnant with her baby."

Coran stirred on the floor, slowly sitting up, eyes wide. "Oh, quiznak." he mumbled.

"You feel better?" Allura rolled her eyes, going to sit down.

"But you can't be pregnant!" he said.

"Why?"

"Because! I'm young and if you have a baby then I'm old!"

Allura sighed. "I need to talk to Romelle." She said, getting up, and leaving.

She found Romelle bothering Keith, and cleared her throat.

"Romelle? Could we please talk?"

"But I'm annoying Keith."

"It's okay. Go talk to her, you can stop annoying me for 5 minutes." Keith replied.

Romelle pouted, before going with Allura to somewhere more secluded. "So, what's up?"

Allura took a breath. "Romelle, I... I'm pregnant."

Romelle turned to her, looking at her face, expression unreadable. She stayed silent for a few moments.

"Romelle?"

"Okay! Who's the dad?"

Allura's mouth opened and closed, before she looked at her in confusion. "Well, you're the only one I've been sleeping with. It's your baby."

Romelle's jaw dropped. "Me? I'm gonna be a mummy?!"

"Yes."

Romelle squealed, wrapping her arms around Allura, kissing her cheek. "I'm gonna be a mummy!"

Allura, slightly confused by the positive reaction, hugged her back. "Yeah, you are...?"

Romelle pulled away, laughed, and placed her hands on Allura's waist, getting in line with her stomach. "Hey, little tiny Altean baby! I'm your mum, Romelle, and I love you so much!"

Allura, in all her confusion, felt herself smile, simply grateful to the fact that Romelle hadn't flipped out and ran up and down the street screaming.

A few hours later, they had everyone in their house, sat  and stood around, waiting to tell them.

"What's this big news?" Shiro asked. Romelle, next to Allura, giggled, covering her mouth. Coran glared daggers at her.

"Well, the news is that... uh, Romelle and I are, uh, expecting."

The group was silent, and then Keith, who had just woken from a nap, spoke. "Expecting what?" The group stared at him. "Ohhhh."

"You're pregnant?" Kassy asked. Allura nodded.

Hunk and Shay exchanged a glance, smiled slightly, and looked back up at Allura.

"Congrats to you both." Shay smiled warmly. "I hope everything goes well for you."

"Thank you, Shay!" Romelle shouted.

"Well, this is a little unexpected." Shiro said. "But a congratulations is in order."

Kassy nodded. "Yeah! If you need any help, you can come to me." she smiled warmly, before muttering. "Even if you are stealing my thunder."

Allura smiled. "Thank you, Kassy."

Pidge stared at Allura. "Wait, you're not joking?"

"No, why would I joke about that?"

"Oh, my God, you're pregnant?"

"Why's that so hard to believe?"

"I did not put that on my bingo card for this year." she shook her head.

Allura smiled slightly. "Uh, okay?"

Rora cleared her throat. "I have some concerns. How will an Altean baby cope with being born on Earth?"

Coran looked up. "It'll be fine!"

"Yeah. That's not very nice, Rora." Allura said.

"It's not very nice, is it, Allura?" Kassy said.

Allura opened and closed her mouth, before going quiet.

"Anyway, congrats." Rora said. Axca next to her nodded.

Shay found a box, filled with drawings. She looked through them, enjoying the art style, and decided that, if she was going to be pregnant and Hunk was going to ban her from anything too physical, she would sit and draw for a while.

She got out the paper and pencils, humming as she set them all out, and began trying to replicate all the little details.

At that moment, Kassy wandered in.

"Hey, Hunk, is my phone charger here? Oh, hey, Shay, have you seen my phone charger?"

"No, I haven't, sorry."

Kassy glanced at she was doing. "I didn't know you liked to draw."

"I haven't really done it before." she smiled. "I found these pictures." she held them up for Kassy to see, and her expression changed as she recognised the art style. Shay noticed. "Are you okay?"

Kassy didn't answer for a moment, before that expression of being taken off guard turned to anger and hurt. "You're trying to be her!"

"Pardon?"

"Wasn't waltzing in here and replacing my sister enough?! Now you're actually trying to be her!"

"I-I'm sorry, I really don't know what's going on." Shay   said, tearing up.

At that moment, Hunk and Shiro entered

"Don't play dumb! Your little innocent girl act does not work with me!" Kassy yelled, tears falling down her face. "You made a mistake, coming here and messing with my family! You'll never be Maeve!"

"Kassy?" Shiro asked, however he was unsure if Kassy even heard him.

"Kassy, I have had enough of this!" Hunk yelled suddenly, surprising even Shiro. "I know it's difficult losing your sister, but you cannot take that out on Shay! She's done nothing wrong!"

"Taking my sister's drawings?! Trying to copy them?! You're obsessed!"

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know they were your sisters!" Shay frowned, tears falling down her face.

Hunk spoke next. "I know you're pregnant and hormonal, but you're being a bitch to Shay for no reason! Shay's the same, but you don't see her doing the same to you!"

Kassy stopped shouting at that point, simply developing into sobs, falling to her knees, practically screaming.

Shay glanced at Hunk, then at Shiro.

"She's my sister, and she should be here, but she's not, and you are instead, and-and-"

Shiro ran over, placing an arm around her. "She's triggered, Hunk, she can't think straight." he paused. "Wait, what was that about Shay?"

Hunk glanced at Shay, who sniffled. "Shay's pregnant."

"Oh, you too? Congratulations." he helped Kassy up. "I'd love to talk to you more, but Kassy needs to calm down, so I'll see you soon."

He put an arm around Kassy's waist, and left with her.
