Shiro and Matt were in Veronica and Kassy's house.

"I can't believe it's been 6 years today since we left for Kerberos." Kassy said. She was lying on the couch, having had her implantation appointment earlier, and was trying to distract herself from the thought.

"6 years? God." Shiro smiled. "What a journey that was."

Kassy nodded. "I bust my ass to get on that mission." she smiled. "I was really desperate to get away."

"I still remember when you walked in." Shiro said. "And I was like, is that Kassy? I didn't believe it until they said your name."

Kassy nodded. "That meeting made me so anxious. I was under the impression I'd be with 3 really hardened, skilled astronauts the way they spoke about you. Not a 19 year old, a 50 year old, and my best friend. I think they were trying to put me off."

"I remember when you walked in the room. I knew there'd be a woman on the ship, but I thought you were more suited to a career in acting or modelling or something, not working at the Garrison." Matt said. "I, uh, had a pretty big crush on you."

"I know, honey." Kassy said. "It was pretty obvious, no offence."

He smiled. "I got over it. Anyway, remember when you both came for dinner? God, my mother was obsessing over you, Kassy, she thought you were an angel on Earth."

"When I came back to Earth with Ulaz, she took me in. I'm not gonna lie, I think I needed someone to take me under their wing, and it really helped me try to heal from everything. It was really scary being by myself with a baby."

Shiro looked over at her. "I'm so sorry I couldn't be there."

"It's so far from your fault, Shiro, don't worry." she sat up. "Ugh, I can't stop thinking about the fact I have an embryo inside me right now. If I'n pregnant, it won't show up on a test for another, like, 2 days, but I'm obsessing over this."

"Of course you will. This is your baby." Matt said. "And you know what? I reckon you are pregnant."

Shiro nodded. "I've got my fingers crossed for you."

"The worst part is that Veronica's at work for the next 3 days and I promised her I wouldn't take a test until she got back." She sighed. "So I'll have to wait a full day knowing I could know then and there if I'm pregnant."

"Yeah, but just think about how much more special that moment will be." Matt said. "It'll be so much better than calling her on the phone crying."

Kassy nodded. "I know."

Kassy was cooking dinner, Lance, Shiro, and Keith sat at her table. She was waiting on Veronica's return anxiously.

Veronica entered, and Kassy ran over and hugged her.

"Hey, baby!" she smiled. "Here, I got you a present." She handed her a little bag, with Kassy's favourite chocolates and a pregnancy test. "You haven't taken a test yet, have you?"

"Nope."

"Alright. I'll watch dinner, you go take it." Kassy nodded, and ran off. Veronica went to the kitchen. "Hi, everyone."

"Hey, Veronica." Keith said.

"Hey." Shiro said.

Lance screwed up his napkin, and went to throw it at her head, but she caught it. "Nice try, sharpshooter." she said. "How's Kassy been?"

"Very anxious for you to return." Shiro said. "Absolutely desperate to know if she's pregnant."

"Well, we're gonna find out." Veronica went over to where the meal was cooking. "When is Romelle leaving, by the way?"

"Uh, 2 weeks. She's going to, uh, New York first."

"Oh, God." Veronica smiled. "I got her a going away present, too." she pulled out multiple boxes of condoms.

"Oh, she'll need those for definite." Shiro said, and the group nodded in agreement.

"So, anyway, what's new with everyone?" Veronica asked. "Keith, did you get a haircut?"

"The first time he went to a salon instead of doing it himself. Doesn't he just look adorable?" Lance smiled, ruffling Keith's hair.

"He looks presentable." Shiro said.

"Thanks, Shiro."

"No problem."

"Guys, I'm having a baby." Kassy ran into the kitchen. The group turned and gasped.

"You're pregnant?!" Veronica asked. Kassy nodded, tearing up, as she walked towards her, wrapping her arms around her wife. "I'm gonna be a mom!"

"Yes! Im gonna be an uncle again!" Lance joined the hug.

"Me too!" Keith added.

"But I'll actually be related to it!" Lance retorted. Shiro joined the hug.

"Yay!" Shiro laughed, even though he was crying on the inside.

Veronica grabbed her phone and went onto the Team Voltron groupchat, taking a picture of the positive pregnancy test.

Almost immediately, her phone blew up with messages, and then there were knocks at the door.

She glanced outside and saw the Alteans noticeably absent. She checked the messages, and Allura had simply replied "what is that?"

Veronica let everyone in, who started clamouring and asking questions.

"You're pregnant? You're having a baby?" Hunk grabbed Kassy's shoulders.

"I'm literally, like, 3 days pregnant, but yep!"

"Actually, she's the equivalent of like, 2 weeks, cos of the embryos." Veronica said. "We're having a baby!"

Allura, Coran, and Romelle had noticed the commotion outside of Veronica and Kassy's house, and went over.

"Excuse me, have we missed a memo?" Coran asked.

"What was the image in the chat grouper?" Allura asked.

"Kassy's pregnant!" Hunk shouted.

"You're having a baby?" Allura asked in surprise. "Who's the dad?"

"Um, well, technologies have advanced, and now two women can have a baby using bone marrow and stuff." Kassy smiled.

"Let's hope things are slightly smoother now you're not in space." Coran smiled.

"I can't believe it!" Romelle said. "Congratulations!" she hugged her. "Can I feel?"

"Um, sure, go for it!"

"I wanna feel! I'm the mother!" Veronica said.

"I'm the biological uncle, so I should get to feel." Lance butted in.

"Alright, alright, we have 9 months for all of you to feel. I'm a little overwhelmed, I'm literally only just pregnant. There's still a lot that could happen, so let's not tell anyone, okay? This doesn't leave the street."

"Oops." Romelle said.

"Who did you tell?" Veronica asked, looking at her phone in her hand.

"Um, just Jasper."

"Okay, don't tell anyone else."

"Oh, lord, I'm tired. I'm going to bed." Kassy said.

"Okay, goodnight, Kassy!" Pidge called.

"And goodnight to my little niece or nephew!" Lance added.

"And goodnight from Hunkle!"

"And goodnight from mommy!"

Kassy laughed and went off.

After she was gone, the group cheered, and went into a huge group hug, bouncing up and down.
