Shiro woke up the next morning, early. Kassy was already up, doing her makeup a few inches away.

"I had such a weird dream."

"Not a dream, Shiro." she replied, humming.

"So you're actually having a baby?"

"We're having a baby." she said.

He paused. "You know you can't have any cocktails for the rest of the pregnancy?"

"Please, Shiro, don't ruin my day before it's started. You wanna tell everyone today?"

He nodded. "Yeah. I think the sooner everyone's aware, the better."

And so, the two called a meeting.

"So, guys, we've called a meeting because... because we have news." Shiro said. Kassy next to him nodded. The Paladins exchanged glances.

"So, um... well, we'd like to preface this by saying this wasn't planned. At all." Kassy laughed awkwardly.

"Not even in the slightest." Shiro agreed. "But, um..."

The two spoke over each other.

"We're having a baby."

"I'm pregnant."

There was silence for a moment. The group looked at each other, then at the two. Then, they exploded into a multitude of questions.

"You're pregnant?!" Keith said.

"What?!" Hunk added.

"You guys had sex?!" Lance said. Everyone turned to look at him.

"You didn't know?" Keith said to him.

"Uh, no? How longs this been going on for?"

"Months. To be fair, it's not that surprising." Rora said. "This is what happens when you go at it like bunnies for months at a time with no protection."

"Thanks for that, Rora." Shiro said. "We will answer your questions."

"I can't believe this. How are you feeling? Any cravings?" Hunk turned to Kassy. "You know I'll make you any food at all, any time, any day."

"Oh, Hunk, you're too sweet." Kassy laughed. "I'm feeling a little unwell, but nothing I can't deal with."

"Damn, Shiro, you've gotta improve your pull out game." Keith patted Shiro on the shoulder. He gave a soft chuckle.

"I can't believe you guys are gonna have a baby." Pidge smiled. "A whole kid!"

"I know! Like... a baby that's real!" Lance added. "And it's just casually growing inside you!"

Allura cleared her throat. She was the only one who hadn't yet spoken. "Sorry to interrupt your celebrations, but am I the only one realising the weight of this? You're pregnant. On a ship that's constantly under Galra attack. That's another life we have to protect."

"We understand your concerns, Allura. We've had the same conversation ourselves. Unfortunately now there's nothing we can do. Scold us all you like, there's no going back." Shiro said. "We're all putting our lives at risk every time we fight, and Kassy isn't an exception. All we can do is be careful."

Allura shook her head. "I'm happy for you both. It's just incredibly concerning."

Shiro nodded. "We know. But I'm sure Coran will be able to prevent as much damage as possible."

Coran nodded. "Yep! And plus, that's what the healing pods are for. Don't worry yourself, Princess."

Allura nodded. "In that case... congratulations."

Hunk wrapped his arms around Kassy, pulling her into a hug. One by one, the rest of the team joined.

"What are you guys gonna name it?" Lance asked. "Lance, right?"

"Umm, no." Kassy said. "We only need one."

"Aw, come on." The hug disbanded. "So, when did the sex start?" he asked.

"At that party where you kept sobbing."

"I wasn't sobbing! I just got something in my eye!"

"Yeah, tears." Rora said. "I can't believe you didn't know, Lance."

"Well, he didn't attend our secret meeting, so..." Pidge replied to her.

"You guys had a secret meeting?!"

"You we're asleep! That's when Kassy and Allura had a scrap."

"Oh, yeah. No scrapping while pregnant, Kassy." Coran told her. "Also, no drinking cocktails."

"Can people please stop reminding me."

Everyone laughed, and that was that day's drama.
