are you still in love with me?

minho just stared at the message for a while. he looked at jeongin then to hyunjin, both boys giving a useless shrug.

"what should I say?"

jeongin gave an, 'are you serious' look. what should the boy say? that he's still deadass in love with him, yeah. that's better. "that you're still in love with him? what else dummy."

"what if he's straight?" hyunjin questioned, jeongin gave out a little 'pft' making a meme face.

"he's not, trust me." jeongin reassured. "just tell him you are!! maybe he'll remember and then it's a happy ending."

hyunjin gave a derp face, he didn't believe that it would be that easy. "jeongini. I think minho should just-"

"okay I'll do it..I've been holding in my feelings for ten years. I don't think I can hold them in anymore."

jeongin punched the air smiling, hyunjin slapped his forehead disappointed. "there you go hyung!! you got this!!" but hyunjin put his head down, trying not to listen.

me : this is jisung right?

jisung <3 : yes

me : well to be blunt yes, I am still in love with you. for the last ten years I haven't been able to get you off my mind. you're the boy, the reason why I broke up with chan. you don't know how long I've been waiting for your reappearance.

me : you don't know how much it hurt knowing you were gone.

me : knowing that, if you did return. what if you didn't remember me.

me : and that's what happened, until today. I can't hold it in anymore. I can't lie and say I've moved on because that's bullshit.

minho's eyes watering while he typed more, he just watched as jisung read his messages.

me : because jisung is back. not any jisung but my han jisung. I don't give two shits if we were children, but I remember the words I said

jisung <3 : and they were..

me : one day we'd get married. you probably believe I'm crazy right now. but I'm seriously deadass in love with you

me : words cannot describe how much you mean to me

me : does that answer your question?

jisung <3 : it does

jisung <3 : but..I really don't know how to respond.

jisung <3 : because the thing is, I'm interested in jeongin..not..you

jisung </3 : that married thing..we were children..you probably didn't even mean what you said. marriage..is a huge thing

minho knew he had that coming, gripping his phone tightly he gave out a harsh sigh.

me : I know....you're right and I understand and respect that.

me : i could tell you were interested in jeongin, I don't really feel..hurt by it

me : I can't make someone love me just because I want them to

me : good luck with jeongin, shoot your shot

jisung </3 : thank you :) no hard feelings?

me : of course not

jisung </3 : cool, I hope we can still be friends!

me : that would be nice

jisung </3 : yeah, but tell hyunjin and jeongin I said hi!! bye bye

me : bye

minho holding back his tears. he smiled and put his phone away. both jeongin and hyunjin waiting for an answer.

"so.." jeongin's voice was awkward and slow, receiving a nudge from hyunjin.

"what he say? is that smile real? fake, what's up?"

minho's shoulders lifelessly went up then plopped down. he didn't know what to do anymore, saying jisung was interested in jeongin would be a crisis for the boys.

"he's not interested. he j—just wants to be friends." minho's voice started to crack, his lips quivering.

"h—he doesn't like you?" jeongin's voice became weak, all he wanted was happiness for the boy. he knew how long he waited, how long he wanted him. "but why! you both were destined to be together!"

minho shook his head, smiling at jeongin. a couple tears slid down his face. "it's the other way around. maybe it was you and jisung who were meant to be."

minho leaving the café they were in. jeongin shouted out for him, wanting answers. but he didn't listen, he shouldn't have listened. because his love story was crumbling.

the love of his life not only left him for ten years, but left him with a permanent broken heart.
