Some things have come to my attention and I want to address them because they have come to bother me significantly.

To start off, I want to fully point out that I am aware I DO NOT own the Nephilim trope. It has been done countless of times, over and over again, in various fandoms and each with their own unique touch to it. It was famous before this book and it will continue to live on after it.

With that said. Snarky, sarcastic, mean characters have been written since forever. Even Nathaniel was based on characters with these characteristics, hence why most compare him to Damon, Klaus or other characters like them. I also didn't come up with these types of characters. Fully aware of that.

Now that we're on the same page and you all know I'm not crying COPYRIGHT because of these two points, I want to get to what actually has me annoyed and honestly sad to some extent. In my years on Wattpad, I have come to see stories similar to others in fanfiction. Which isn't a bad thing persay, but it does become tiring at a point- which we can all agree happened to the Gilbert Twin trope, and I point that trope out because the Nephilim one is slowly starting to become similar to it in the Legacies fanfiction's here on Wattpad.

But my problem is something more complex than someone just making an asshole, a Nephilim, or a Saltzman twin adoptive sibling character.

The problem is people who have blatantly copy and pasted my chapters- which include dialog, narration or character thoughts. I don't know if most of you have come across these, but I sure have. And I haven't been one to expose these people because they have been kind enough- and I use kind lightly- to delete my work from their Wattpad profiles.

Time and time again I've come across Legacies fanfictions that completely rip off my writing, my storyline, my character's likelihood- and most of the time it's all three in one. THIS is what bothers me. The disrespect, the complete disregard for my intellectual property and the time I put into my work. I've grown Nathaniel's story step by step, with trial and error, figuring him out and what I want for him. Just so you can copy and paste it? No. It's rude, disrespectful and I will not be having it.

So, this is your final warning.

STOP copying and pasting my work.

STOP ripping off my story.

Take inspiration, but create YOUR own. Don't take someone else's work and try to pass it off as yours.

And if you see anything- my work somewhere else that isn't my Wattpad profile- please let me know. I'm going to start blacklisting and exposing those of you who do this. I've been nice, but it's over.
