Timothy and Kristina were continuing their way through route 1 as they heard rustling sound coming from the bushes from ahead. 

"There's something there," Kristina commented.

"Pichu!" Mina cried out gazing at the bushes.

 "Wait this one might be something Kristina might be interested in catching," Timothy said. 

Soon out from the bushes came a small quadrupedal bunny with purple fur with a pink fluffy collar of fur around its neck with pinkish color inside of the ears. Its eyes were round and black and purple rounded tail.

"Aw so adorable," Kristina commented, taking out her Pokedex and scanning the rabbit looking Pokemon. 

[Cosbit, The tiny rabbit pokemon. A psychic/ normal type. It appears docile and relaxed however it is constantly alert of its surroundings with its psychic abilities. It is believed that they gain their powers from the moon, and its strength is at its greatest during a full moon.]

"It's cute, I have to catch it," Kristina said, putting away her Pokedex. 

"Alright all yours," Timothy said, backing up and giving Kristina space to battle.

"Go Fruibat!" Kristina called sending out her Grass type starter to battle.

"Fruibat!" Fruibat cried out ready to battle.

"So you decided to go without a nickname?" Timothy questioned.

"I'm still thinking on the right nickname,"Kristina replied."Lets start this off with Tackle!" 

"Frui!" Fruitbat cried as she flew towards Cosbit and slammed her body into it causing it skid back from the impact.

Cosbit then shook off the effects of the Tackle. However it suddenly ran  forward and jumped in the air and slammed its ear directly at Fruibat's chest knocking her down to the ground.

"That looked like Pound," Timothy commented.

"Show that weren't going to be taken down easily, and use Absorb!' Kristina commanded.

"Pichu!" Mina cried out chhering Fruibat on.

"Fruibat!" It cried out as it flew forward and bit down on Coskit's neck draining the energy.

"Cos!" Coskit cried out as it spun around dizzy from having some energy drain.

"Now my chance," Kristina said as she reached for an empty Pokeball."Go Pokeball!" She said throwing the Pokeball at Coskit.  

The Pokeball connected with Coskit as it was pulled inside the ball. It shook three times until it clicked signaling that Coskit was successfully captured. Fruitbat picked up the Pokeball and flew it over to Kristina who grabbed it happily. 

"Excellent job Fruitbat we got us a new friend on the team," Kristina said smiling happily at the Pokeball containing her new friend.

"Congratulations on catching your first Pokemon, " Timothy said tapping her on the shoulder. 

"Pichu," Mina said, cheering in agreement with his trainer. 

"Thanks now, Rosemary," Kristina said, returning her Fruibat to her Pokeball.

"So Rosemary what you decided on," Timothy said.

"Yeah, I've been thinking about a nickname and decided Rosemary was the right one, " Kristina replied.

"Well we should get going if we want to reach Moonfall before evening," Timothy stated. 

Kristina nodded in agreement as they continued their journey to Moonfall city.

Timothy and Kristina peacefully continue their journey through route 1.

"So now we both have two pokemon on hand, before my first gym battle and your first Pokemon contest," Timothy said.

"Yeah, it seems that way," Kristina commented.

"Excuse the blonde one," A male voice said.

"Hm," Timothy hummed in confusion as he turned to see a ten year old boy with peach skin, short white hair, and ice blue eyes. He was wearing a short sleeve white shirt underneath a turquoise jacket along with black pants and green shoes. He was sitting against a tree holding a Pokeball in his hand.

"Who are you?" Kristina asked.

"The name is Frost Valor," The boy introduced.

"I'm Kristina."

"Timothy my name is my partner Mina," Timothy replied pointing at Mina on his shoulder."So why did you call out to me?" He asked.

"I heard you talking about the gym and wanted battle you," Frost replied as he stood up with his pokeball in hand."Come on out my friend," He said tossing the pokeball as he sent out his Pokemon.

"Awe it's an Eevee," Kristina said, taking out her Pokedex.

[Eevee, the Evolution pokemon. A normal type. Eevee is a unique Pokemon that can adapt to its environment by changing its form and abilities when evolving.]

"That's a cool pokemon," Kristina said.

"Agree let's go Mina,"Timothy commanded.

"Pichu!" Mina cried out as she jumped down from Timothy's shoulder.

"Alright Eevee begin with Tackle!" Frost ordered.

"Vee!" Eevee cried out as she charged towards Mina, sending her flying back.

"We won't go down easily because you're smaller," Timothy said."Let's use Thundershock!" He commanded.

"Pichu!" Mina creid out as she released a powerful Thundershock directly on Eevee.

"Eevee!" Eevee creid out in pain.

"Eevee shake it off and use Swift!" Frost commanded.

"Vee!" Eevee creid out shaking off the pain before jumping up and swing it tail as a barge of golden stars were fired at Mina.

"Mina dodge and then use DoubleSlap!"

Pichu quickly jumped back avoiding the incoming Swift attack, before running towards Eevee ready to attack.

"Eevee wait for Pichu to get closer and then use a full power Tackle!" Frost ordered.

Eevee growled as she waited for Mina to get closer,before she slammed into Mina sending her flying back into a tree.

"Mina!" Timothy shouted as he glanced over at Mina.

"Come on you can do this Timbo," Kristina said.

"That right Mina you can do it me an you are going to one day become a strong gym team of normal types," Timothy said clenching his fist.

"Pichu!" Mina creid out as slowy gotten up as her body began to glow brightly as she gotten bigger.

The moment the light faded away now in Mina place was short fluffy chubby rodent Pokemon. It was covered in white fuffy fur with blue horizontal stripes on its back. It had a small mouth, with slighty large rounded white ears with yellow outlines at the ends. It cheeks were blue and stored electricity. It forearms where small and chubby with five fingers on each paws, and three toes on feet. It has a long bushy tail curl up like a heart.

"Awesome Mina you evolved!" Timothy cheered happily.

"Pikachu!" Mina cried as towards Eevee with her fist surrounded in electricity and landed a direct hit as Eevee collapsed on the ground.

"That was quite the Thunderpunch," Frost said holding up an Pokeball."Eevee return you did well," He said returning Eevee.

"Thanks she finally master it after evovleing," Timothy said as Mina ran over and jumped onto his shoulder.

"Nice meeting sure we meet again," Frost said walking off.

"He seems like an intreasting person," Kristina commented.

"I agree maybe we should see what the pokedex says about you Mina," Timothy said pointing his pokedex at Mina.

[Amoxan Pikachu, the mouse Pokemon. A Normal/Electric type. This pokemon is native to the Kanto Region, however a small group of Pikachu were discover on cargo ship carrying supplies to Amoxa during a cold night. To surrive the Pikacu devolved fuffy fur to stay warm and became a normal and electric type. They are often warry of strangers and prone to zap in fear.]

"That intreasting so your first evoution and two Amoxan form of an Kanto poekon on your team since you caught Vulpix," Kristina said.

"Agree it was bound to happen Pichu evolves from freindship that what my mom explain and we always had a gret bond," Timothy said putting away his pokedex as he stroked Mina.

Timothy and Kristina continued on there way with Mina resting peacefully on Timothy's shoulder.

As Timothy and Kristina coninuted on there way they noticed they sun was slowly begining to set.

"It around sunset guess that battle dragged on longer then we thought," Kristina commented.

"Well looks were in luck there a Pokemon Center around here," Timothy said as he pointed at a large building with a red roof up ahead.

"We have a warm place to rest for the night," Kristina said with a smile.

Timothy and Kristina walked inside of the Pokemon center were they were greetd by Nurse Joy.

"Good evening how can I help you?" Nurse Joy asked kindly.

"We would like two rooms and i would like to register for the Amoxa league," Timothy said.

"I can take care of that for you just give me your Pokedex," Nurse Joy said.

Timothy nodded as he gave his Pokedex to Nurse Joy who placed it into the slot and typed on the keybroad."Timothy from Hallowstone Town there your good and register," She said giving Timothy back his pokedex.

"Thanks," He said taking back his pokedex.

"Timothy and Kristina," A voice said they both turned around to see Frost walk into the Pokemon center.

"Frost," Kristina said.

"Great timing your Eevee all heal," Nurse Joy said heading Frost his Pokeball with Eevee.

"Are you resting here for the night as well?" Kristina asked.

"No I'm camping out to think through some things," Frost said walking out of the center.

"What he thinking about?" Timothy questioned.

"He been trying to decided between gym battles and contest he been challengeing diffrents trainers for a few days now," Nurse joy said."Through since he got back here seems less confuse must be from his meeting with you two," She commented givng a key to both of them with the room number.

"I see so that why he challenged you," Kristina said glanceing over at Timothy.

Timothy nodded before him and Kristina heading to the dinning area to eat some dinner before calling it a night.

So here we have chapter fifth of The Challenges of Becoming a Normal Type Master. Timothy and Kristina continue there journey to moonfall city with Kritina catching her first Pokemon, and Timothy meeting a posbily new rival in Frost,before stopping for the night at a Pokemon center. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
