It had been many hours since Timothy, Mina,  Kristina, Dexter, and Nala had encountered Leonardo, and Kristina had captured a new team member in Pudlapuff. It was nighttime as they were in the Pokém, on Center. Timothy had. Love finished talking with his mother on the phone, letting her know he made it. to Moonfall City.  Now, with the content just a day away, Kristina was excited as she was in the bathroom. After getting dressed in the outfit her mother had made her as her contest outfit.  

Kristina soon twirled around wearing a dark blue dress with white puffy shoulder sleeves and was holding the bottom of her dress, feeling the fabric as she stopped in front of Timothy and Dexter, who had Mina and Nala on their shoulders as they stood over next to the video phone.

"How do I look?: She asked turning to face Timothy and Dexter.

"That looks contest-winning," Dexter said with a nod.

"You look amazing, Kristina. The dress suits you," Timothy said, eyes filled with awe as he took in the dress."However, I don't understand why the coordinators dress up. I mean the Pokemon are the stars, right? Though what do I know I don't do Pokémon contest," He stated. 

"Pikachu!" Mina cried out just as confused. 

Kristina then turned to the video phone where she saw the face of a beautiful woman with long green tied back in a ponytail with a few strands framing the side of her face and sky blue eyes.

"Thanks, Mom this dress is amazing love it so much," Kristina said with a bright smile.

Her mother smiled warmly, her voice gentle yet teasing, "You look beautiful sweetie, but don't forget about the headband that came with the outfit after all it's the finishing touch."

Kristina then looked at her mother confused, "A headband?" She questioned touching her green hair."I don't recall seeing a headband."

Her mother's expression shifted to one of mild concern."I packed it with the dress. It should be in that box somewhere."

However, before Kristina could respond she heard a noise from behind her and turned around to see a graceful looking Pokémon that resembled a Siamese cat with a shimmering, lavender-blue coat. Its fur had a soft, almost ethereal glow and its eyes were large and a deep violet color reflecting an inner light. The tips of its ears and tail are darker transitioning to a starlit blur. Its body was slender and agile, adorned with delicate patterns that resembled constellations. 

Kristina noticed that it was holding a blue object in its mouth.

"Hey it's a Solasine," Kristina said kneeling slightly and stareing at the feline Pokémon that was standing in front of them.

"Shinx, " Nala cried out looking at the feline Pokémon curiously from Dexter's shoulder. 

"Let's see," Timothy taking out his Pokedex and scanning the feline.

[Solasine, the Seer Pokémon. A psychic type. Solanine is known for its mysterious and otherworldly abilities. It uses its psychic powers to foresee future events and communicate telepathically with humans and Pokémon alike. Solasine's gaze is said to be capable of peering into the very fabric of time, revealing glimpses of what is to come. It is often found in serene,  moonlit environments where it can channel its energy with ease.] The Pokedex.

"Sola," Solasine cried out holding out the object towards Kristina.

"Now what do we have here?" Kristina asked getting a closer look at the item.

"That's your headband," Kristina's mother said as she recognized the item.

"Ah," Kristina said as she took the headband from Solasine.

"Solasine there you are," A voice called out. Soon a 12-year-old girl with a fair skin tone with long red hair flowing down her back and orange eyes ran over towards Solasine she was wearing an orange jacket with a white shirt with a pink pokball logo on the center of it anda a  white pants with a black belt and black sneakers.

"Did you find this?" Kristina asked looking at the girl as Solasine jumped into her arms happily. 

"Yeah it was on the floor just outside the bathroom," The girl replied."Though technically Solasine found it she has a way of finding things."

"How you know it was Kristina's?" Dexter asked. 

"That was easy she is the only one wearing an outfit that goes with that headband," The girl explained.

"Thank you for finding it," Kristina said putting on the headband."It's all good now Mom see I got my headband now thanks to-" Kristina trailed off as she already saw the redhead running off with Solasine in her arms.

"She fast," Dexter commented. 

Timothy nodded in agreement. 

"Kristina you should be more aware of your belongings," Her mother said bringing Kristina's attention back to the phone."You have ne worry that you end up losing something as important as your own Pokedex if you wouldn't with Timothy," She stated. 

Kristina blushed slightly."Oh come on Mom I'm not that careless," She muttered.

Timothy chuckled."Hey, no need to worry Mrs. Thornberry as long as Kristina is with me she be fine and won't lose anything important on my watch."

"He right Kristina has us to look over her," Dexter said.

"I'm counting on you two and Kristina I will be watching the Pokemon contest on TV along with your father and little brother so good luck," Mrs. Thronberry said.

"Alright mom talk to you tomorrow morning before the contest," Kristina said ending the phone call.

"Now that is settled why don't we get dinner and get ready to call it tonight so we can get to the contest hall earlier" Dexter said.

"That right me and Dexter want to have good seats after all so we can really watch your performance in tomorrow's Pokémon contest," Timothy said smiling at Kristina. 

Kristina blushed slightly at the charming smile Timothy was giving her before shaking her head reminding herself that Timothy is her best friend now stop thinking romantic thoughts.

"Right I change back to my regular clothes and then I join you for dinner," Kristina said heading towards the bathroom to get changed back to what she was wearing earlier before joining her friends for dinner.

 After a satisfying meal, Kristina, Timothy, Dexter, and their Pokémon retired to their room for the night at the Pokémon with Dexter and Timothy sharing a room since they were both boys. Kristina had a room by herself across from Dexter and Timothy. 

As night fell and the sun was fully set and replaced now by the beautiful full moon, Kristina was laying in bed excitement coursing through her veins. The upcoming Pokémon Contest was all she could think about, and sleep eluded her.

Unable to stay still, Kristina took off the blankets and crept out of bed wearing a dark green flannel bed jacket with pokeballs over it along with matching pants slipped on blue slippers as she walked out to the balcony of her room. She then sent out Rosemary and Moon who both looked around sleepy.

She then walked over towards the railing and gazed up at the moonlit sky as the cool breeze brushed against her skin."Hey Rosemary and Moon sorry to wake you," Kristina said softly."It's just that tomorrow is the big day. The Pokemon contest is finally here. I'm so nervous but also really excited. Do you think we're ready?" She asked looking at Rosemary and Moon.

Rosemary fluttered its wings and nuzzled Kristina's neck as she landed on her shoulder, while Moon nuzzled her leg letting out a cry of encouragement.

"You're both right we trained for this," Kristina said smiling at the two Pokémon she planned on using for tomorrow's Pokémon contest."I know it won't be easy and maybe I won't win my first ribbon tomorrow, but let's do our best and make my family proud."

The night was serene, and Kristina felt a sense of almost over her as she looked out at the city below illuminated by the moon. She then returned both of her Pokémon and headed back inside to sleep for the night now feeling calm about tomorrow.

The following day, Timothy and Dexter arrived early at the contest hall eager to secure good seats to get a good view of Kristina's performance. They wished her good luck as she headed to the dressing room to get ready for the Pokémon contest. 

They found a good spot with Mina on Timothy's lap and Nala on Dexter's lap as they got comfortable in their seats they heard a voice call out to them.

"Timothy and Dexter!" The voice called out.

They both turned around to see the same 12-year-old boy with green hair, yellow eyes with a lean and fit figure wearing a jacket that had a green dragon on it, a dark blue shirt underneath, grey pants, brown sneakers with dark blue flame-colored bottoms, dark blue and mixed color backpack with a familiar small black dragon in his arms that was helping calm Pudlapuff down yesterday.

"Oh hey Leonardo," Dexter greeted.

"Yeah hi," Timothy said.

Leonardo then took a seat next to them as the stage with dark before a spotlight shone down on a young woman in her early 20's she had a fair skin tone, a slender and graceful build. She has long wavy lavender down her back and bright violet eyes with a warm friendly gaze. She was wearing a sophisticated, yet vibrant lavender dress adorned with sparkling sequins and a flowing cape paired with matching high-heeled shoes and shoes and a germ necklace shaped like a Pokéball.

"Greetings and warm welcome to coordinators and contest fans of all ages. We've all come together for one very special reason, and that is to find out who will take home the fabulous Moonfall contest ribbon" She paused before she continued."I know you all have been waiting patiently, and now it's time for the wait to be over! I'm Melody and we're coming from you live at the Moonfall City's contest hall!" 

The crowd erupted into cheers as the excitement of the contest filled the air. Timothy, Dexter, Leonardo, and their Pokémon watched eagerly, waiting for the Pokémon contest to begin.

So here is the 13th of The Challenges of Becoming a Normal-type Master. Kristina prepared for the upcoming Pokémon Contest in Moonfall City NY trying on her dress made by her mother. After a brief scare of loss of her headband but thanks to a Solasine and her trainer finding it. Kristina completes her outfit for the Pokémon contest. However, she struggles to fall asleep due to the excitement but finds solace by talking to her Pokémon on the balcony. Now the day of the Pokémon contest has arrived.  In the next chapter, we will see who will take home the Moonfall City's ribbon. I hope you enjoyed the chapter.
