{53} - Rose

Rose chuckled.
Not that she wasn't uninterested in what had happened with Carla or Mitch or anything. She had to admit, such provoking actions do come with consequences; some harsher than others. And the fact that Mitch finally had proof for her disloyalty, she knew he was going to do something about it. It could range from just a break up, to fighting for custody over their daughter. Rose knew he was capable of that, and she didn't want to wave it off so easily. After she finally put on her former attire once again, she walked out of the room, not caring about the now messy and disorganized room. While she walked out, she stopped at the waiting room in sudden realization that she was alone -- in other words, she did not have a car. "Shit, of course he was the one driving." Rose scolded herself in a low whisper, her hand over her forehead. But she then remembered who else was probably still here.
Ian.
Feeling a twinge of hope, she took out her phone and tapped on his contact, her nail tapping against the case as she pressed the phone to her ear. After a couple of beeps, he had answered. "The hell do you want?"
She rolled her eyes, "Are you still at the hospital?"
"I asked you a question first. Answer it."
"I need a ride home." Rose leaned against the wall, her eyes looking down at the white tiles. She felt the uncomfortable all of a sudden when a police man stared at her. She looked away immediately when their eyes met and she bit her lip.
"Wasn't riding Lachlan enough?" She could practically predict him smirking on the other end of the line.
"Ha ha, really funny Ian." Rose murmured uneasily. The police man was now talking to his walkie talkie, as if to mind his own business. Rose knew it was too good to be true; that he had lost interest in whatever she was doing, that is. Was he hitting on her? Or was there some sort of new suspicion that she got blamed for?
"Anyway, now it's my turn to answer your question. Yes, I am here. Up on the third floor." Ian answered.
Good, I can at least get away from him. "Ok, I'm coming up, what room?" Rose asked, speed walking towards the stairs. She couldn't risk going up the elevator.
"Room 304, remember, third floor."
"Got it, I'll meet you there." Rose said abruptly, ending the call and nearly running up the stairs. Her breath hitched in her throat when she heard steps that weren't her's. She glanced down and saw a patch of black on the shirt this specific person was wearing, making her panic internally as she picked up her pace.
When she finally reached the third floor, she pushed open the door and she almost fainted to find herself face-to-face with Ian. He smirked, "Boo."
She growled as she pushed him out of the way and grabbed him by his wrist. He gave her a surprised look as the two hid in a random room. Rose didn't shut the door completely just to see who it was. She peeked out and, sure enough, the same policeman from before walked past their room. Rose sighed in relief. Ian cocked an eyebrow at her, "Geez, what's the rush?"
Rose glared at him, "A cop was following me. God knows what the hell he wanted from me."
"You wouldn't know unless you stopped to find out." Ian said as he sat on the bed.
"Well what if I don't want to find out?" Rose whispered harshly. "What if someone ratted me out and asked for me to be questioned again?!"
Ian shrugged, "It's your problem, not mine."
"At least we lost him. . ." Rose ran her hands through her hair in relief. "Come on, I want to go home. . ." She opened the door and she felt as if her heart skipped a beat. There stood the police man from before, along with Seto. Her wide eyes lowered to the ground as she took a small step back. "Gentlemen. . ."
"Rose," Seto began uneasily,
.
" We need you to come with us. "
