Confusion.

Being moved around in complete darkness was confusing. You didn't know where you were or where you could be, and everything happens in a blur. All Emily could remember were hits, yells, darkness. Where Preston was exactly, she didn't know. She hoped he didn't get hurt, or worse, she hoped he didn't have to meet any terrible consequences. But the images of him getting confronted by Jerome were quickly blocked by him kissing Rose, which angered her completely. But she couldn't get anxious, she had a human being growing inside of her at this moment, and she was afraid that the only thing she cared for would slip away from her grasp.

"Emily?"

Emily fidgeted at the voice, but she kept quiet. She couldn't trust anyone. "Hey, Emily, I know you can hear me."

"Leave me alone." Emily croaked softly, her voice cracking in the process.

"I'm trying to help you, can't you see?"

"Actually, I can't, it's pitch black in here." Emily hissed.

"Dark? The hell are you talking about." Emily didn't answer, until she felt soft fabric running against her eye-lids, and pulled away, revealing light into the once dark room. Rob grinned, "Better?"

Emily sighed and nodded warily, "I guess. . . Where are we?"

Rob shrugged, "No idea."

Emily gulped nervously, ". . . Is, Jerome, here with us?"

"Pft, doubt it." Rob answered as he crossed his arms together. "What the hell would Rose do with him?"

"So. . . You're saying we're alone. . ." Emily murmured uncomfortably.

"Whoa, calm down there." Rob said as he eyed her. "I may be a criminal but I'm definitely not in the rapist category."

Emily's muscles relaxed as she looked at her tied arms, "Right. . . I'm sorry. . . I'd at least like to be alone. . ."

"Geez, well sorry for invading your so called "privacy", but I won't budge, well, in this case, the door won't budge." Rob said as he turned his gaze to some stairs.

Emily huffed, "What room gets locked from the outside?"

"No idea, it sounds weird doesn't it?" Rob chuckled softly as he looked away awkwardly.

"Uh, are we in a basement?" Emily asked, surprised.

"We are, but not in Rose's, though." Rob said, leaning against the door nonchalantly.

Emily groaned, "Great. . . Just what an expecting mother like me would want. . ."

"Well at least Rose was nice enough to not place you in a shack or somewhere weird. . ." Rob noted.

"But this still sucks, I'm tied to a chair in an uncomfortable manner while you're all free and shit." Emily grumbled.

"Life sucks for you then." Rob smirked as he sat on a couch across from her.

Emily squirmed in her chair as she mumbled, "I must have my phone with me. . ."

Rob huffed, "You wish."

"I just want to call Carla or Preston or someone!" Emily protested as she pulled her wrists up against the rope.

"Yeah sure, as if Carla's going to do something." Rob said bitterly.

"Shut up, her and Mat may do something to help." Emily said as she glared at him.

Rob's expression turned glum at the sound of Mat's name until there was a knock at the door and the sound of it unlocking, which caught the two adult's attention. "Rob, come out here please~."

Rob groaned under his breath as he recognized the voice to be Rose's. He got up and walked towards the door, until Emily's eyes widened, "W-Wait! You're not going to leave me here alone, or are you?"

He turned to look at Emily, sadness clouding his eyes, "I'll help you later, I promise. . ." But he said this as low as he could, at least so Rose couldn't hear him.

Emily stared at him, just as he flicked the lights off (as a command from Rose) and Emily couldn't help and whisper. "Wait. . .

" Please, don't leave me. . . "
