{28} - Jerome

-~-~-

Jerome may not have seen Mitch's place in a very long time, but saying that his house was small was a very big understatement.

It was of course bigger than his small apartment in the city, but it was a lot larger than Preston's home, even if they lived in the same neighborhood. Jerome smirked, "Mitch still struggling to strive through your debts?"

"Shut the hell up." Rose murmured in a sharp, annoyed tone as she took out her house keys. "And anyway, at least he's actually still earning money, unlike some people I know."

Jerome rolled his eyes, "Well, it's not my fault I was falsely accused."

Rose smirked as she unlocked her front door, "Are you sure you were falsely accused? May I remind you, you did not seem to remember what exactly happened that night."

Jerome stared at Rose as she entered the house, followed by Rob, who stopped and looked back at Jerome, "Hey, you ok?"

"Rose, what do you know?" Jerome called out, pushing Rob out of the way as he entered his friend's home.

Rose laughed as she sat on her couch, "I know a lot of things Jerome, it depends on what you want to know."

Jerome furrowed his eyebrows as he crossed his arms, "You already know this Rose. I want to know how the hell I ended up being who I am now."

"A narcissistic, rude, selfish asshole?"

"No." Jerome growled in annoyance, "I want to know why I was locked up, why I can't remember what happened."

Rose pursed her lips as she got some of her blonde hair from off of her face, "Well, first off, if you really want to know, why don't you ask Emily yourself?"

"Because, I don't know where she is. And plus, she'll probably freak out if she sees me free." Jerome grumbled impatiently.

"You do know we could find her, right? And even if she does see you and have a nervous breakdown, she doesn't have to tell anyone." Rose grinned.

Jerome arched an eyebrow at her. He knew she was avoiding his question but, he was curious about what her point was going to be, "What do you mean?"

"I know how much you hate her." She chuckled, making both Jerome and Rob uncomfortable, "And believe me, I hate her too, that's why I'm best friends with her sister, which, I want her to go against."

"Carla? What about her? And what purpose would she be if she's nothing but a tool? Both literally and metaphorically, that is." Jerome noted as he sat next to Rose, but he kept his distance.

"The point is, we both hate Emily, especially since five months of nothing but lies is what she's given you. You may not be on good terms with Preston either, but, poor him. He didn't know you two were dating, so he's out of the picture." Rose said, getting up and walking over to what looked like her basement door.

"How would you know that?" Rob asked as he and Jerome followed Rose slowly.

"Because we never knew she was his girlfriend until after the party, that is." Rose replied nonchalantly.

Jerome flinched at the fact, since it was indeed true. But, he didn't want to get off track, "Alright, fine, but what about Emily?"

"Well, the kid she has isn't yours, and may I remind you, that you have questions she may be able to answer." Rose said as she opened the door, revealing a dark room, with grey stairs right in front of her, leading to complete darkness.

"She isn't even here, so why are you bringing her up?" Jerome asked as he went down the stairs along with Rose, keeping his pace slow and steady, just like hers'.

Rose laughed in the darkness, just as she found the light switch, "That's where you're wrong, Jerome."

Confused, Jerome waited until his eyes got blinded by the light, until his eyes adjusted to it, and to his dismay, Rose was right. Jerome nearly backed up from seeing a half-awoken ex-girlfriend also known as Emily, who's eyes widened in fear from the sight of him. Although she couldn't do much except let a muffled scream (the fault was all on the red handkerchief that wrapped around her mouth). She couldn't run either, since she was neatly tied to a wooden chair, no traces physical wounds found anywhere along her body.

Rose placed her hands on her hips and she looked at Jerome emotionlessly, "Well? Go ahead!

"Ask her what you want."

-Author's Note-

Well shit

Go on and hate me, er, Rose.

But since I managed to update

I think leaving a vote would be nice <3

Not for Rose though she sucks

But to me and to support the story would be pretty cool <3
