{2} - Jerome
SUFI - 'Afraid' by The Neighbourhood

Jerome groaned as he bounced a rubber ball at the cracked grey wall and it bounced at another direction.
"Goddamn ball, and goddamn prison." Jerome muttered, sitting up and grabbing the rubber ball once again.
The accusations of almost poisoning his girlfriend and drinking brought him here. He didn't ask for it, but those accusations were false. Very, very false. He would never poison his own girlfriend, and he would never drink unless there was a party going on. Unless. . there was a party, but he had forgotten what he had done.
Jerome sighed and sat on his bed. He was on the bottom bunk, while his cellmate was above him, snoring and sleeping as usual. All Jerome wanted, was to escape and go back to his girlfriend, Emily. He smiled softly as he remembered her. Him and her were happy, before this happened. All he wanted was to hear her laughter, her sweet smile, and her appearance as they gleamed in the sunlight.
"Jerome, time to eat." Jerome looked up, and saw two police men, glaring down at Jerome, and opening the cell.
He nodded, and got up, shaking his cellmate, "Ciel, get up, it's feeding time."
Once he opened an eye, Jerome got over with the police man, while the other one stayed and waited for Ciel, his cell mate. Jerome made his way to the chow hall. He never liked it there, being cramped into a large room filled with many other prisoners in the same room did not seem very comfortable. He had been sentenced five years, and those did not sound fun.
Jerome's lungs were suddenly filled with foul odors and food, which made him scrunch up his nose in disgust. He's only been here for five months, and it felt like a year. Jerome sat at one of the tables, looking down at his hands in thought.
This wasn't what he wanted, he would never poison his girlfriend, ever. Even if it did happen, it would have been for a reason, and there was no reason for it. He had argued that court day, claiming that it wasn't him. But the worst part, is that she didn't come. Only her parents did, and it infuriated him so much, that he did not want to see her again, almost.
Mitch came, though. His best friend came, he said that his girlfriend urged him to go, which he skeptically accepted. Yet, it didn't work. All of the accusations seemed to fit in one specific piece. A party. Why would he have wanted to poison his girlfriend at a party? He did not know. All of the words said that day were a blur. Parties, craziness, Emily, fighting. Jerome could never conclude what the explanations were.
They all had to lie. On YouTube, everybody thought Jerome fell into a coma, because that was their excuse. So now, every subscriber is praying for a lying, troubled, sinning guy stuck in a cell, thinking that he is actually hospitalized.
"Jerome? Aceti?" Somebody called out, making Jerome look over. A police man was calling him, "Somebody wants to call you."
Jerome raised an eyebrow. Who'd want to see him? Mitch probably? Jerome got up, curious. He followed the police man into the calling area, where a few prisoners themselves talked to a few people. Jerome walked up to one of them, and stopped in amazement.
It was Emily and Preston.
