I fix my nice buttoned up shirt, looking good. I'm wearing a light blue button up tucked into black jeans with my black combat boots because I can't not wear my combat boots. "Jungkook, are you ready to go?" My mother asks from downstairs. "Yes, I'm done." I say. I make sure that my cologne is on.

I grab my wallet, my coat and phone, before I head downstairs. And my mother stands there with her new iPhone in her hand. She hasn't stopped taking pictures since she's got it. "Oh handsome!" She yells as she takes pictures of me. I smile awkwardly as I finally make it in front of her. "So, where are you going today?" She asks, putting her phone away.

"We're going to the carnival that just got put up not too long ago." I tell her. "Okay! Do you need money?" Sometimes I think she forgets that I have a job now, though I haven't gotten my first paycheck yet. But I always save my allowance, which I won't need anymore. "No eomma, I don't need money." I grin. She let's out a breath, "Okay." She whispers as she strokes my face. "Well have fun, don't come home too late."

Sure, I'll have lots of fun with BamBam in the way.

"And tell sweet Lalisa I said hello." She kisses my cheek. "Okay Eomma." I nod. "And to the parents." She adds. I chuckle, "Okaaay Eomma." She opens the door for me and I head out onto the porch. "I'll be going to work very soon, so hopefully I'll be back for dinner. Why don't you invite Lalisa and her parents over for dinner? I think that would be nice."

"I'll ask.", "Also I can ask more about that trip they invited you on." I nod. "Okay, have fun.", "I'll try." I whisper. I've failed to mention to my mother that BamBam is still at Lalisa's house. Well, not fail to mention, but I just didn't mention that he's still there. I just take a chance and walk to Lalisa's house. I prepare myself to take a verbal beating from the Flintstones kid. Which I'm not looking forward to.

I send Lalisa a text that I'm on my way to pick her up. I put my phone back into my pocket and walk as fast as I could to her house. When I get to her house BamBam instantly opens the door. He stares at me, "Where are we going today?" He asks with a smug smile on his face. "Carnival." Is all I say. "Lalisa says that she wants a prize, and I'm going to win it for her."

I just blink and nod, "Of course after I win her the first one." I spit. "Sure kid, you can't even throw a ball I bet." I raise an eyebrow. "I'm the pitcher for my schools baseball team." He then looks concerned. "Whatever." He rolls his eyes. "Jungkook? Are you here already?" I hear Lalisa's voice.

"Yes." I call to her, inviting myself in. She then runs out of the hallways and smiles at me. It's like everything is in slow motion and I smile back. I love it when her hair is up in a ponytail and she pulls out hair in front of her ears. She looks like a anime character to me.

She has a pastel purple sweater on, a gold IX on the front of it. It's partially cropped. This sweater was complimented by black shorts and converse. "I'm too dressed up." I blush. "No, this is my lounging clothes. I'm dressing into something nicer." I nod and look at her.

I mean, it's just the carnival. I don't know why I dressed up so much. I bet it was the outfit that she was going to go out in and because I said I was over dressed she wanted to change to make me feel better. Gosh. I'm such a dud. Her mother then walks out of the kitchen. "Oh! Jungkookie! How are you?" She asks as she pulls me into a hug. "I'm doing great. My mother actually told me to invite you all to a dinner at my house."

"If you're interested and free to have dinner tonight." I add. "That's so sweet of your mother. We'd love to have dinner with her. I'll let my husband know.", "Okay." I smile. She squishes my face with her hands. "You sweet sweet boy!" She exclaims. "Actually. Let me know when you guys come home on the train and I'll pick you up and we can head to your house."

"That sound like a good plan." I nod. "Okay." She pats my head. "I hope you guys will have fun." She smiles. "We will." She them walks down the hall. I walk over and sit in the living room. Lucky for me, BamBam follows. I just sit back in the long tan colored couch and examined the family pictures that I've seen hundreds of time. But in awkward situations, it's like I'm seeing all the pictures for the first time.

"What's your deal dude?" He asks. I grind my teeth and try not to get annoyed by his voice. "Are you going to answer me.. or?" I finally look at him. "I get it, Okay. I really do." He raises an eyebrow. "You get what?" I slowly let out my breath. "How it feels to love someone who loves someone else." His face loses all expression. "How easy for you to say. You don't understand at all." I almost laugh really hard. Even snort.

"Being in love with the same girl for five years then being rejected. It isn't the best." He then takes the opportunity to laugh. "And what? Lalisa was your back up?" He asks, making my hands form into fists. "Don't you ever say that! She wasn't a back up! You don't know anything!" I yell. "Chill." He says. "I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE TELL ME TO CHILL WHEN I'M MAD." I say through gritted teeth.

"Sorry. Dang. It was just a question." He crosses his arms and he looks down at his black ripped jeans. "Whatever." I whisper. He laughs. "I'm sure Lalisa isn't that in love with you." He rolls his eyes. "I've heard her say that she loves me. So I don't need to hear your assumptions.", "Pfff, Yeah right, Lalisa liked me before you were a little dumpling on the tip of your fathers chopsticks"

I'd just rather not talk to him, I'll just sit here and wait patiently for Lalisa to come out so we can leave. I have nothing more to say to him. Now he's just talking out of his left cheek and a half. "See, I don't understand how Lalisa can date you and feel safe. I honestly think that you'd cause people to hurt her." He explains out of nowhere. My eyebrows knit.

"You're just a little whimp, you don't know anything." He crosses his arms. "I may be months younger than you, but you have no right insult me when you know nothing about me. Obviously, if Lalisa was serious about you, she would have told you. She even told me herself that liking you was a mistake." His face changes.

And I break the promise to myself about not talking to him. "Sometimes it takes a mistake to get something right." I smile. He just stares at me. "Jungkook, I'm ready." Her voice cuts through the atmosphere that was building up. I stand up and walk over to her, "You look great." I tell her. She's wearing a long sleeved soft yellow buttoned up shirt with a round collar.

The shirt tucked into high waisted black jeans. Her hair still in the ponytail. Her whole outfit is complimented by a black purse that the strap crosses over her chest. She looks up at me with a smile on her face. "Thank you." She smiles at me and it feels like I can breathe again.

She grabs my hand, the tips of her fingers running over my skin. I lift my hand and lightly touch the stands of hairs that she has pulled out in front of her ear. Her eyes waiting for me to make another move. My eyes looking at her lips. They look soft like they always are. I can already predict that they taste like her favorite kiwi lip balm.

I can smell it from where I'm standing. I'm tempted to taste it, but the tingle in my neck is telling me not to. BamBam is watching. I'd feel like a complete jerk if I kissed Lalisa right now. I know he likes her and I'm teasing him about it? You know who that reminds me of? I connect our gazes, "Lets save this kiss until we're alone." I whisper. She smiles wide. "Okay." She says.

"Lalisa." I hear her mother, her smile goes away. "Yes?" She answers. "Don't be rude, take BamBam with you we've talked about this." My heart instantly drops to my feet. Fantastic. I straighten my back. He dressed nice for today too. He's wearing a nice jacket that has some sort of design that has a bird on it. A black shirt tucked into black jeans and some black shoes.

I guess everyone has a thing for tucked in shirts today and black jeans. He looks tense after thinking I was going to kiss Lalisa in front of him. I've noticed that Lalisa and I have become people who we didn't want to be. We need to stop the cycle. "Let's go." I tell him. He looks at me confused. "You're coming with us the the carnival." I tell him. "Oh.. right." He walks to the door and we all exit the house.

Lalisa holds my hand while we walk out of the house. I can sense BamBam's eyes on me. He's behind us when we begin to walk down the sidewalk. Talk about third wheeling. I'm not even the third wheel and I feel really awkward. "Don't let him bother you. I talked to him the night that he arrived." She whispers to me. I look at her.

"We've become like Jennie." I tell her. She goes silent, I guess she is barely realizing it. "You're right. How I've reacting when ever you're around, I'm so rude to him." She then frowns. "Am I a gross person?" She asks. I instantly shake my head. "No, I think we all change once in a while. I know that it's hard when you're around me because you know how he feels."

I bite my lip. That's how Jennie felt around me when I was around her and Taehyung. "Us both." She says. I slowly nod. "He says you want a prize from the carnival." She grins and nods. "He wants to win it for you." She raises her eyebrows. "Really?" I nod. "He told you that?" I nod again. She then chuckles. "I never said that." She then laughs harder. I scrunch my nose and look forward as we slowly approach the train station. BamBam lied.

Because he wants competition with me? I won't question why. Because I know why. I refuse to be an ignorant person. Because that's not who I am. I will let him win Lalisa a prize if he really wants to. Which he does, if he went out of his way to tell me a lie. He hasn't seen her in a long time.

Despite the fact that they've been together for about a week now. I'm honestly just in the way. Maybe they should have come together. Without me. I should have just stayed home. "Jungkook?" I hear her voice. Taking me out of my thoughts. "Yes?" I ask her. I've just noticed that we're in line to buy our tickets. "Are you okay?" She asks.

I nod. She pulls her lips into a straight line before she turns and pays for her ticket. "I got it." BamBam says pulling out his wallet and paying for all of our tickets. I thought he would have made me pay for my ticket. "Thank you. You didn't have to do that." I tell him. "Well, you're paying for the ride back." I should have known that there'd be a catch.

I force a laugh. "Yeah, why not." I say. "BamBam, if that's why you paid, I'll gladly pay for my own ticket on the way back." He then drops his smirk and walks pass us. I just let out a breath, turn and Lalisa follows. "He just really doesn't like me. Does he?" I ask as I see him in the far distance.

"Like you said, he's acting like this because he likes me." She says, sounding a bit worried. "What's wrong?" I ask. "I don't want to lose my childhood friend because he can't adjust to change." I look at her and she has this expression on her face that is in between worried and sad. Even a little bit mad. "I adjusted when he changed. But when it comes to me. He can't."

I then look up to see where BamBam is at. I don't really know what to say. I can think that I'm not so good at change either. But I'm trying. I think not everyone is at first. But that's they point to adapting to the world. The thing is, if you don't adapt. You don't survive. It's a do or die world.

Our train is then announced and we catch up to BamBam. He doesn't even look at us. And what's worse thing is the train is only a two seated row. It's going to be a long two hours.

An Hour Later •

I try not to use my phone too much, just so I can save the battery. Lalisa fell asleep. She had told me before that she was tired from the early softball practice since she officially made the team. I can understand being that I also have baseball, and I also made the team. But I just didn't have practice today. I then feel eyes staring into my direction. I look up and see BamBam looking at Lalisa. He doesn't know I'm looking at him. There's this sparkle in his eyes that are very familiar to me.

When Lalisa readjusts in her seat and leans against me, his jaw clinches. His eyes then set on me. I just stare at him. Not really able to say anything to him. He just pushes his earphone back into his ear and turns around in his seat. I then just stare at the back of his seat. I know what he's going through. I understand him.

Even if he thinks that I don't, I do. I was once him. I just look down at Lalisa. Today is such a confusing day.

Arriving in Seoul •

Lalisa runs to the bathroom about 15 minutes before the train arrives at the station. It's silent between BamBam and I until she comes back. But then again, we haven't said a word to each other the whole train ride. When she comes back she smells amazing. Like she reapplied perfume. She sits down with her small purse on her lap. She looks at me and smiles wide. I smile back.

"Can I have my kiss now?" She whispers. My eyes instantly looking at her lips. She's also reapplied her lip balm. I raise my hand and caress her cheek. I don't feel a tingle in my neck. Telling me that BamBam isn't watching. I use my thumb to lift her face to the right position. Her eyes slowly closing. I lower my head and press my lips against hers. I'm instantly indulged.

She tasted like mint with an intense kiwi flavor. Gently moving my lips with hers. Her hand sets on my hand that's holding the arm rest. I slowly move away when I feel the tingle in my neck. When I open my eyes, she's slowly opening hers. I let out a breath before smiling. She instantly smiles back. The train comes to a stop and we both stand up.

As suspected, BamBam was already standing and was facing the other way. He saw. Lalisa grabs my hand and I lead her as I follow BamBam off of the train. "Where do we go next?" He asks me. Surprising me. I didn't think that he'd be talking to me any time soon.

"You can just follow me. I used to go all the time with my mother when I was younger." I tell him. He just nods. I lead the way to the carnival a few blocks down from the station. When we arrive, it's in full swing. As I expected it to be at this time right now. The smell of different deep fried foods and other traditional Korean food fills the air.

"I'll buy the first round of tickets." I say. I buy 60 tickets that were really over priced. But okay. And I give 20 to BamBam and 20 to Lalisa. We head for the rides. We decide that it would be smarter to get the adrenaline out of our systems then go and play on the booths. Plus, if we win any prizes then we wouldn't have to get scared that other people would take them if we had to leave them off the ride.

We all get on the Farris wheel, in the same cart. She decides to sit next to him, and I don't mind one bit. Maybe he'll loosen up and want to talk. "BamBam, isn't this nice?" She asks as she holds his arm. I take out my phone and take pictures of the sky and send them to my mother. I think she'd like to see them. I also text her that BamBam will be coming to dinner too because I feel bad for not telling her earlier.

But she texts me back saying it's okay so.. it's okay. "Yeah, it's nice because I'm here with you." He says. I clinch my jaw and pretend that I didn't hear. She then whispers to him and I hear him grunt. "Please?" I hear her plead. I look up at them and she looks at me and smiles. I smile back and BamBam just looks out the cart. She quickly switches over next to me. I instantly I wrap my arm around her shoulder.

She pulls out her phone at pulls my face with her hand. My head against hers and I smile wide. She gets a good picture of us with the nice view in the background. She then unexpectedly takes a picture of her kissing my cheek and my face takes on a tomato color. But I still smile with my eyes closed this time. She then pulls away and I am able to cool my face down.

"Awe! Jungkook, your face is all red." She teases. She pushes her phone into her pocket and turns to me, holding my face with her hands and she laughs at the color I've become. "You're so damn cute." She says as she kisses my hot cheeks. My heart beat stays fast as she quickly pecks my lips. Then she squishes my cheeks and pulls away from me.

See, if we were alone. I wouldn't be embarrassed about kissing her, but I feel so bad that BamBam is right here. The car then starts to go down and we exit to go on several more rides. Slowly but surely, BamBam loosens up and has more fun. We go on the rollercoasters. Also on that ride that flips in the air. The other ride where it's round and it spins really fast. There weren't very many rides. There were more booths. So when we got bored with the rides.

BamBam bought the next round of the tickets. We instantly go to the game booths. Lalisa looks at me, as if hoping that I would play. We instantly go to the game booths. I pass on the first few booths, waiting for him to win.

Geeze. He sucks.

I guess he feels the pressure. But that's what he wanted. "You're not going to play?" He asks me as were in line for a game. "I've played all these games thousands of times." I say. "You scared?" He smirks. I raise my eyebrows. The game happens to be the one where you have to knock all the bottles down by throwing a baseball.

"I thought you heard what I said about the sport that I play and the position." I say. Ignoring his five year old question. "You're all talk." He says. When we're up, I smack two tickets down and he smiles. Also smacking two tickets down. The people running the booth hand us each three balls.

"Ladies first." He smiles. I set two balls down and stand back. We have a lot of people's attention. Which I don't mind. Come on Jungkook. Don't let him get to you. I know that you can win.
