A mass mission to send the Titaness, Tethys, back to the deepest depths of the Underworld had been a great success except for the reality that Iva Laurent would not be able to celebrate with the rest. Closing her eyes and reopening them, she ended up in a foreign place with an all-familiar face of Sebastian Langton. He was her first love — the one she had spent all her heart grieving over and over again — but he was supposed to be dead. 

Something's definitely peculiar about his reappearance that made Iva question the actual happenings on the mass missions five years ago. The deeper she dug, the more she would learn about the hidden truths behind everything, including the disappearances of all the assassins. 

When the equation slowly matched up and the truth unveiled itself, Iva also came to know of the masked identity of Jaxen Evrard. Seems like the simple days are long gone and what are the stakes in playing all these dangerous games?
