The Beginning Of A Fairytale

━━━━━━━━

SOMETHING TUGGED AT HIM, told him to go back to the hospital. There was something off and Pan knew it. So he turned back around and ran to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Blue Fairy had just finished up with the potion and was on her way to the hospital along with the rest of the StoryBrooke gang. None of them knew that Gold was in Melody's room, holding his sister's lifeless body, sobbing.

Pan had reached the hospital just as the others did. They saw him and Emma waved him over. He went over to them.

"You got it?" he asked.

The Blue Fairy nodded, holding up the potion. "Right here."

"And you're sure it'll work," David said, worried that the potion wouldn't work. But everyone else was worried as well.

"Yes. I'm positive."

Pan nodded, feeling hope. He was going to get his daughter back. And then he'd make up for all of the wrongs he did. Because Pan didn't want to lose her again. He couldn't.

But there was still that feeling in his chest. Like something was off.

They all entered the hospital and walked to Melody's room. Henry was practically bouncing for joy at the thought of getting his sister back. The Blue Fairy opened the door and everyone walked in. She gasped and everyone went wide-eyed at the scene.

Gold was on the floor as he sobbed, Melody's lifeless body lying in her bed.

Regina screamed in horror and Pan felt the air leave his lungs. He collapsed, tears filling his eyes. And the whole world seemed to stop as they all burst into tears.

Mary Margaret fell into David as she sobbed and Henry fell into Emma's arms, sobbing uncontrollably. Hook had fallen to the floor in shock and was sobbing just like the rest of them. Felix was holding Pan as the immortal boy sobbed at the loss of his one and only daughter.

Pan's eyes became furious and he lunged for Gold, hitting him repeatedly.

"You killed her!" Gold didn't fight back. "You killed my daughter!"

Felix pulled him back, trying so hard to be the stronger one. "Peter!"

"No! He killed her!" he sobbed, too heartbroken to fight back as Felix held him. "She's dead!"

Henry screamed in agony and held onto Emma. Everyone was in shambles. The Blue Fairy hurried over to her and felt the girl's head, seeing if she was really gone.

No pulse

A tear left her eye and she put the potion on the table next to the bed.

"No! My baby!" Regina sobbed, yelling anguish. "She can't be gone!"

But then Mother Superior remembered something. "The Curse." She turned to them. "The curse! Don't you see? It's a curse! She can be saved."

Pan glared up at her and tried to lunge for her, only for Felix to stand up quickly and hold him back. "She's dead you stupid fairy!"

"But she can be saved! With true love's kiss."

Everyone fell silent and Regina stood, looking hopeful. "She can be saved?"

"Yes," Mother Superior told her. The fairy looked to Pan. "You can save her."

Pan stopped struggling against Felix and the second in command let go of him. "I can?" The Blue Fairy nodded. Pan slowly walked toward Melody's body. He remembered when he saw her again in Neverland. Her brown eyes filled with tears as she tried so hard not to cry. Her brown hair was a mess from the running she had been doing but was still the same luscious brown tint. He remembered the way she was dressed, in a grey sweater that was covered in dirt stains, long pants that were ripped, and barefoot, her shoes lying not too far.

He remembered the way she walked toward him slowly and then hugged him as if he were going to disappear. And he did the same back.

But even now she was still beautiful. But she was asleep, that's what he told himself.

Pan reached her side and then pushed her hair out of her eyes. Slowly moving down, he kissed her forehead.

Nothing happened for a moment and he thought that it didn't work. But then a light pulsed through the room and through the town. Melody's eyes fluttered open and she looked up at Pan. Everyone gasped.

"Papa?" Melody questioned with tears.

Pan started to cry and nodded. "Melody."

The two embraced and Melody started to sob, holding onto him. Everyone started crying again, with happy tears this time.

Gold stood up and went to leave, knowing he was not wanted in the room, or anywhere near Melody. But the teen saw him and stopped him.

"Rumple."

Everyone looked at him. Gold looked at her with tears. "Melody, I'm-"

"You don't need to apologize." Everyone looked at her in shock. "You didn't know. And besides, it was destined anyways."

"Melody honey, he killed you," Regina pointed out.

The teen sighed. "He didn't know, mom. He was in a trance, I could tell." No one knew what to think. "It's ok Rumple. I promise. I'm not mad."

Gold looked surprised and then smiled slightly. But he still knew he was not wanted there, so he turned on his heel and left the room.

Melody let out another sigh and before she knew it, everyone was hugging her. She laughed and hugged them back.

For everything was back in place. And everyone was happy.

Their happy endings restored.

A few months later

"Are you even listening? I said those decorations need to be in the corner," Regina reminded, pointing to the corner of the diner.

Leroy rolled his eyes. "Whatever."

He went on over to the corner of the diner and put up the balloons. Regina sighed and turned back around when the diner bell ringed. Pan walked in and went over to her.

"You guys almost done in here?" he asked.

Mary Margaret looked over and nodded. "Almost. Just a few more minutes."

Pan nodded back. "Alright. She's getting suspicious."

"Then we better hurry up," David replied, stapling the sign to the beam on the ceiling.

The immortal boy left the diner and hurried over to the bench where Melody sat with Felix and Henry.

"Sorry had to take care of something," he lied.

Melody raised an eyebrow at him but didn't question him. "Ok."

Pan felt his phone in his pocket vibrate and he grinned, knowing it was time. He pulled Melody up and covered her eyes.

"What...dad!" she exclaimed, almost tripping over her cast around her leg.

He laughed and Felix and Henry stood up, following them as they all walked to the diner. Everyone was in their places and when they walked in, Pan removed his hands from her eyes and Melody gasped.

Birthday decorations littered Granny's diner and all of her family was there, including most of the town residents.

"Happy birthday, Melody!" they yelled.

A sign was along one of the walls, hanging from the ceiling and read "Happy 14th Melody". Melody smiled and wiped a tear.

"Guys!"

Everyone hugged her and wished her a happy birthday. The party went on for the rest of the night, presents were exchanged and they ate cake. Which was a Harry Potter cake, making Melody laugh.

Pan smiled at the sight of his daughter finally happy and grabbed his boyfriend's hand. "I did alright didn't I?"

Felix looked over at him and smiled. "You did alright, Peter."

Melody watched them and smiled, happy that the two had finally got together.

And her dad finally had his happy ending.

---

Melody sighed and sat up on her bed.

Things had been crazy for her for sure. From thinking that her father didn't love her to smiling and congratulating him for finding love again.

Never did she think that she'd be happy again after what happened to her. After all of the tears she shed and the pain that she felt, Melody never thought she'd feel like her old self.

She turned off her light and laid down, flipping on her side.

But she thought that it was all over; that things would finally calm down. But oh how she was wrong.

For this was only the beginning of her fairytale
