So here's how it's gonna go, I'm gonna get into the touchy feely bit first, as I want you all to see that first and foremost, then we're gonna get into a short little thing about the series and whatnot if you still want to deal with me and these characters who mean way too much to me, so yeah!

I am honestly physically incapable of thanking all the people I need to in this book, because ya'll...holy fuck, do you realize that Nicky wasn't supposed to be this big of a character? You do all know that he was a throwaway character meant to fill the role of the supplier in Lonely Hearts and a cute little quirky reference to the fact that Rhett Reiser existed? And now look at him, he's possibly the most beloved character of mine, and I think it's safe to say that everyone loves him, because no one has hated on him yet. He grew from this throwaway character to being my "universal constant" the character that ties everyone in together (though I have another character who does that, but whatever, it's like how Terran is the OG Nicky in terms of personality, but Nicky adopted it, it's whatever)

Just...ya'll, this was almost a year in the making. If I hadn't gotten so much support from you all, this story and so many others would not be in creation, so if you're reading this, thank you so much, and not to isolate any readers who just jumped in in this story, but if you came from Past Lives or Lonely Hearts, thank you for staying with me, with Nicky, with these characters. It means the whole world, you have no idea.

And I don't think you understand how monumentous this is. The Hero of Heroes series was supposed to just be Lonely Hearts, Past Lives, and this book. It's branched out since then, but I just finished the core three stories, and I'm honestly not really okay, because this series has helped me grow as a person, Nicky, Rhett, and Diana helped me, and I just can't believe that their stories are finished (I have to post the deleted scenes, but hush).

And I finished it all before my deadline. I had wanted to get Past Lives, Almost Happy, and my other story Broken Lullaby all finished before Infinity War came out, because they were the AU's leading up to it, and I did it, and I'm so proud. I was so terrified that I wouldn't have been able to do it, but I did. I'm more than proud, I'm so happy. It's a sad happy, but it's also a pure joy.

Okay fuck it, I'm gonna tag a few people, because I need them to know that they really meant a lot to me in terms of writing this:

peggyscarter I know you haven't been on much, but damn it, you were there from Lonely Hearts, and I just always wanna thank you, because you're synonymous with this series and the OG three at this point, I love you, my bro

SinnofKnowledge it's been so long, but don't think for a second I forgot you, because remember when I told you that this was gonna just be three books, and you said "who knows, maybe you could expand it," and I didn't believe you? I need to pay you, because look where we are now.

Bro, we haven't talked for very long, but you have single-handedly stolen all my characters from me, because you have floored me with your ability to articulate their characters in such a way that they're more human than I ever thought them to be previously. So if ya'll didn't hear, this and Broken Lullaby are the last stories to take place before Infinity War, which means all the stories after this will take place before Infinity War, which means we won't be seeing any of Nicky when he's in this particular situation, but fear not, because he will be in my upcoming Bucky Barnes fic, as will all the characters whose love interests are the characters in the OG set that are in existence pre-Infinity War (I hope that makes sense) Basically, we're moving backwards, then everyone ties up together in Lost Girl, and will probably be seen post that if I find I wanna write for characters whose stories take place after Infinity War.

But Nicky is my universal constant, and you'll see him in some way, shape, or form in every Hero of Heroes book I put out, as well as in my one-shot book, which you should really check out, because I'm gonna be writing a lot in there.
