Jimin P.O.V
"Where are you going?"
I heard Taehyung, my roommate's sore voice call out from under the blanket.
Taehyung had been sleeping on his bed for God knows how long.
"Out." I was wearing my Fila shoes.
"I figured that, genius," he scoffed in his husky voice.
"I'm going out to meet Jen," I clarified, straightening up.
"Ah. Enjoy, or whatever," Taehyung said in an uninterested tone, sticking his hand out of the blanket and waving at me.
I smiled at him.
"See you, Tae," I said, opening the door, which had a broken lock, "and if you ever plan on coming out of that little cocoon you have cooped yourself in, get that damn lock fixed. I can't have any more kids walking in on us."
"I'll see." Taehyung yawned.
"Are you okay, Tae?" I asked, leaning on the door frame.
"Yeah. Just feeling a bit under the weather." He coughed a bit.
"Take care, then. I'll get going now, don't wanna keep Jennie waiting. I'll be back as soon as I can though." I smiled at him.
"Thank you Jiminie. Now, go. Bye," he said, smiling very slightly back at me. I slowly shut the door and walked towards the stairs.
The lifts were under repair, but I preferred the stairs anyways. They usually gave me a good warm-up before my dance class.
I exited the boys dorms building and walked towards the sports centre. There was a huge space of land behind it which many people used as a park.
Jennie and I would usually meet there after our class, but she said that she was going out for lunch with her friends after class, so we agreed to meet here at five in the evening.
I looked at my watch. 5:15 P.M.
I groaned and started running towards the park.
I reached about fifteen minutes later, completely breathless. Gah, why is the park so far away from the dorms?
I looked at the time again; 5:32 P.M.
"Jennie's gonna kill me," I muttered under my breath.
"Damn right she is," I heard someone whisper in my ear.
I whipped my head back, to be met with a scowling Jennie. "Where were you?" She asked, folding her arms.
"I'm sorry Jen! Something came up—" I quickly started, holding my hands up.
"Oh, was that thing more important than me?" She interrupted, narrowing her eyes.
I gulped. "Nothing's more important than you babe." I placed my hand on her shoulder, trying to look sincere.
She looked at my hand, and back at me, and I heard her let out a sigh.
"I know that. It's just that you're always late for our dates! It makes me feel as though I'm not of that much significance to you," she said, looking down at her feet.
"No, it's not like that. I'm late for everything. You can ask Tae! He's always complaining about that too," I said, chuckling.
She didn't seem very pleased with that answer. The pout on her lips proved it.
"You're very important to me, babe, and I love you." I cupped her cheeks.
She looked at me and smiled. "Love you too." She hugged me tight.
"Okay, let's sit down now. My feet hurt." Jennie pulled away from the hug, and dragging me to a nearby bench.
"My legs hurt too, I ran all the way here."
"Your precious dancer legs hurt!? I can't allow that!" she said dramatically, plopping herself on the bench and patting the space next to her.
I laughed, and sat down beside her, leaning back onto the wooden bench. She scooted closer to me, and placed her head on my shoulder. I pecked her forehead and intertwined our fingers.
"Ah, I still remember our first date here. You were late that day too," she said, laughing.
"I was? Oh lord, I really should pay more attention to the time," I said, flustered.
"Yes, you should. But it's one of your cute quirks, so it's okay." She snuggled into my chest.
"You're smelling extra good today. Did you change your perfume?" I asked, nuzzling into her neck, inhaling her scent.
"Oh, I got this new Chanel perfume! It's amazing, and smells so good." She smiled lightly against my chest and hugged me tighter.
She suddenly shivered in my embrace. "What happened?" I frowned and asked her. She looked up at me, her cheeks tinted pink.
She looks so cute right now.
"No, it's just that you were breathing on my neck and—"
She suddenly stopped, staring at my lips. She slowly leaned in and connected our lips.
I was frozen for a second because Jennie never showed any public affection.
I slowly kissed back, feeling Jen relax, and throw her arms around me. Our lips moved together, and my hands caressing her oh-so-tiny waist.
However, our kiss soon became sloppy, and the air around us got warmer.
That's when I remembered we were in a park filled with people. I gently pulled back.
"Uh, Jen? We're out right now, and there are people who might see us. Let's just talk and cuddle now, eh?" I suggested, biting my lips, hoping that she won't lash out at me.
"Oh, shit, yeah! I forgot we were in public for a second," she said, moving a bit away from me, and chuckling nervously. I laughed and pulled her closer in my embrace.
"Jimin?" She called out. I hummed in response. "Talk to me."
"About what?" I replied back after a good ten seconds.
"Anything. Tell me about your childhood. I wanna know some of your favourite memories."
I stiffened for a second.
"Let's talk about you, Jen. I feel as if I don't know you at all," I said, hoping she wouldn't pick up on my uneasiness.
"About me?" She asked, pointing a finger cutely at herself.
I smiled. "Yes, you." I put my finger on top of hers.
"Alright then. I'll tell you one childhood memory which is still prominent in my mind," she said, giggling, "so I had this childhood friend who I was very jealous of, because she had so many dolls and toys. One day, she got a princess figurine and made a game; we had to hide the figurine anywhere around us and the other person had to find it."
She was speaking so excitedly that it amused me. She's adorable. I stared at her fondly.
"—but we could never find it. Poor girl couldn't even blame anyone because she's the one had hidden it. She never got her toys out to play ever again." Jennie was laughing in my embrace.
"That's hilarious," I said, laughing so much, that I fell down the bench, onto the grass.
"Oh my God, Jimin!" Jen stood up quickly to help me. I was still laughing when she pushed me onto the bench.
"Ouch, my ass." I wiped the tears in my eyes.
"What is with you and floors, Jimin?! You're literally always tripping and falling down!" Jennie said, exasperatedly.
"It's just that, I can't see where I'm going when I'm laughing, so I tend to fall over a lot," I said, once I had calmed down.
"You're so cute Jiminie," Jennie said, pulling my cheeks. "But the story wasn't even that funny."
"Sometimes when I start laughing, I just can't seem to stop, even when there's no reason to laugh," I said, scratching my nape.
"Ah, don't worry, that happens to everyone." She wrapped her arms around me again.
We just spoke about random things after that, and I felt happy. Mainly because this didn't end up with us fighting or us making out as if there's no tomorrow, which is what normally happens.
Time went by quickly, and before we knew it, it was already half past six.
Jennie stood up, brushing her skirt, and looking down at me. "Well, I have to go now. We have a lot of homework; Mr. Chen gave us this huge essay to write." She sighed heavily.
"Oh, do you need any help with it?" I said, getting up, and shoving my hands into my jeans pocket.
I had no intention of helping her, but I wanted to look like a good boyfriend in front of her.
"No, that's alright! I can do it. It's really sweet of you to even offer, though," Jennie said, coming closer, standing on her toes, and placing a soft kiss on my cheek.
I sighed in relief, and said, "Anything for you, babe. I actually have some work to do too, so I'll see you tomorrow."
"What do you have to do?" She asked in a suspicious tone.
"My dance partner asked for some help with a dance routine."
"Oh, okay then. Bye, Jiminie. Love you." She picked up her bag and looked at me.
"Love you too, and goodnight! Get back safely. Call me once you reach your dorm," I said.
She nodded and kissed me one last time, before walking away.
I just stood there, taking in the beautiful scenery of the park.
There were trees everywhere which would look really beautiful when in full blossom. Now, however, the trees were barren, the golden brown leaves collected in piles at the foot of the trees.
The autumnal sun was slowly setting in the horizon, painting the sky a very pleasing pink hue. I took a deep breath and began walking towards the Arts building.
I reached about five minutes later, and walked up the stairs to the fourth dance room on the first floor, where my partner had said he would be.
I was about to pull open the door, when I heard my dance partner talking loudly with someone on the phone.
It seemed like he was quarreling with someone, because of the sudden change in his tone.
I couldn't hear the conversation too well though, because the doors are thick in order to not disturb others. I just stepped back, and internally debated on what I should do.
This didn't seem like a conversation he wanted someone else to know about.
After a few minutes of just standing there, I finally walked up to the door, and pulled it open, and was thankful that he had already cut the call.
He was sitting down on the wooden floor, just staring at nothing in particular. I doubt he's realised my presence.
I knelt down, and gently nudged his shoulder.
He yelped, and literally did a somersault, which startled me a little too. Yup, his dramatic ass is back. I thought to myself, stifling my laughter.
"What's up with you? I kind of overheard you arguing with someone," I spoke, brushing myself.
"Ah, it's nothing. Those darn salesmen called again, and this time I lost it," he said, avoiding my gaze.
He was obviously hiding something from me, but I didn't comment on it. He'll tell me if he wants me to know about it.
"Haha, they're always bugging us aren't they?" I said, chuckling.
"Yeah. Anyways, why are you here again?" I noticed how fast he had changed the topic, but decided to drop it.
"What do you mean? You're the one who asked me to come, because you needed some help with the new choreo." I furrowed my eyebrows in suspicion.
"Oh, yeah! Sorry, it slipped my mind." He scratched his head, laughing awkwardly.
"It's okay, I get it. Way too many things on our minds so we tend to forget something. Now, which part are you not getting?" I asked him, tying my shoelace.
"The last part. I always mess it up for some reason." He tried it out again.
I watched him, assessing every move.
His dancing technique is just so energetic and expressive. His street dancing roots allowed him to perfect his popping and locking techniques, as well as the ability to freestyle.
I really envied the way he danced so freely.
"I got it!" I said suddenly.
He stopped and looked at me, breathing heavily. "You did? Where am I going wrong?"
He walked over to drink some water.
"You're not doing anything wrong exactly. It's all in the foot movement. Sort of like this." I did it slowly, and looked over at him.
"Oh, wait, let me try it out too." He joined me on the dance floor.
"God, I just can't do this!" He exclaimed, groaning.
"You're the dance leader! There's nothing you can't do," I said, grinning, "just calm down, and follow me okay?"
I got in position. It took just ten minutes before he got the hang of it.
"Yeah, now one, two, three, and back! Four, five, six, come to the front. And repeat it twice," I said, slowly.
He followed my instructions and did it perfectly.
"See, you got it now!" I exclaimed, clapping my hands.
"Oh my gosh. I finally got it! Thank you so much, Chim!" He hugged me.
"Woah, you're all sweaty, get away from me," I said, laughing. "And it's no problem really! You've helped me many times before, so this is nothing," I added, sweeping my hair back.
My dance partner went to pick up his bag.
"You're a very quick learner. You just need to have hope and confidence in yourself!" I encouraged him.
"Thank you, Chim. I'll try my best. By the way, you wanna get something at the cafe?" He asked, smiling.
"Sure. I could use a cool drink." I dusted my pants.
"Great, let's go," he said, switching off the lights to the dance studio, and grabbing the keys from his backpack.
We locked the door, and went down the flight of stairs. I got startled, a couple minutes later, when I heard a gasp behind me.
I turned around to see my dance partner, frantically searching his pockets, and then zipping his bag open.
"What happened? What are you looking for?" I asked him.
"My phone! I must've left it in the dance room. I'll be right back. You can go ahead to the cafe, and I'll meet you there." He began running back, his long limbs allowing him to cover the long distance to the Arts building, with ease.
"Uh, okay then," I said to myself, taking my phone out of my pocket, and began scrolling through Instagram.
I wasn't paying attention to the road ahead, and almost fell down, tripping on something big.
I turned around in anger to kick whatever had made me trip, when I felt a sudden jolt behind me.
I turned around once again, fuming mad, to be met with the sight of a super well built guy.
"Look where you're fucking going man," I said, very angrily, not caring about my language.
"Ah, what the hell! Why is nothing going right today?!" I heard the man in front of me mutter, in an accent I was all too familiar with.
He bent down to pick his phone up, and ran a hand through his rather long hair.
"I'm sorry, by the way. I wasn't looking around," he said, finally looking at me. I could finally see his face properly, at least as properly as I could see in the dim lighting.
He was dressed in an all-black attire, which, paired with his long black hair, gave him an intimidating look.
However, his face features completely contrasted that.
His large eyes were round, like a doe's eyes. He was biting his lips which made them look very thin. His round nose was scrunched up slightly, just like his forehead, indicating that he wasn't in a good mood.
His ears had multiple piercings which were swaying lightly. His jawline was rather sharp near his ears.
I cooed internally at how cute he was looking right now.
"Oh, that's alright. And uh, are you from Busan by any chance?" I asked him.
"As a matter of fact, yes. I am from Busan. Why though?" He asked, looking at me with narrowed eyes.
That's when I realized the question I had asked, was quite creepy.
"Oh, I'm not a creep or anything, don't worry. I'm from Busan too, and I heard your accent, so I just asked," I said, chuckling.
"Oh, well it's nice meeting you! I'm Jeon Jungkook," The man in front of me said, smiling.
"Nice to meet you too! I'm Park Jimin." I smiled back, my eyes folding into little crescents.
We spoke for a few minutes, and I got to know that he was from Mandeok-Dong, which was a couple miles away from Geumsa-Dong, where I was from.
"Wait, what are you doing here at a time like this?" I asked him.
"I actually lost my way, and ended up here," Jungkook said, scratching his nape.
"Oh, I'm guessing you're new here?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Yeah, I'm a freshmen, majoring in Neurobiology," he said, nodding slowly.
"Neurobiology? Must be hard."
"I actually didn't have my first class yet. I just arrived yesterday," he said, in a quiet voice, his cheerfulness suddenly evaporating.
"Ah, I see. All the best for your classes then!" I exclaimed, seeing him give me a small smile.
"Thank you! Well, it's getting late, and I should probably get going. How do I go the boys' dorms from here, if you don't mind me asking?" Jungkook asked, looking at his phone.
"Oh, my friend and I are going to the cafe. You can come with us, as the dorm's only a few minutes from there."
"I don't wanna be an inconvenience though!" He exclaimed.
"Oh, don't worry, you won't." We heard another voice behind us.
I grinned, immediately recognising it.
The tall, lean figure of my dance partner came into our view. "Ah, great timing! This is Jeon Jungkook, a freshman science student. Jungkook, this is my dance partner, the very talented and amazing
Jung Hoseok."

DA SUNSHINE IS HEREEEE UWU
P. S,, the figurine incident actually happened in real life 😆
Vee and Xoya are childhood friends lol. (Yes, we're gonna refer to ourselves as a third person.)
Vee was the one with many dolls and toys, and u cud say that Xoya was the jelly one, even tho she wasn't rlly, becoz Vee is an angel and shared everything with Xoya. One day, Vee and Xoya invented that game of hiding a tiny figurine around us. Vee hid her figurine somewhere in the grass, but Xoya couldn't find it. Later, even Vee couldn't find it LMAO and so the figurine was lost. We never played that game again.
😂😭😭😭
Anyhoo, we hope y'all enjoyed!!
Vote and comment! They make our day.✨✨
