Rosé P.O.V
"I think I'm in love."
I whipped my head to look at Jen.
"Love? And you? I highly doubt that," I scoffed, making her frown.
"And, what's that supposed to mean, Rosé?" Jennie asked, offended, but I could sense the hurt in her tone.
I gulped at the fact that she had called me Rosé, instead of my usual nickname, Rosie.
I felt guilty. I didn't mean for it to come out like that. "Oh, I'm sorry. That came out harsh, didn't it?"
"You think? Out of all the people, I would've never expected you to be the kind of person to make such a remark," she said softly, and I felt my chest tighten.
I know how Jen feels.
Everyone thinks of her as this uptight, spoiled brat. That's how she comes across, but she's nothing like that. She's literally a fluff ball with the people she loves, and will go to great lengths to make others happy.
"I may across as whiny and snobby at times, but I'm not a cold-hearted person who's incapable of emotions. I can feel pain, love, regret. The most prominent emotion I'm feeling right now, is hurt; hurt that my best friend, the one I've opened up to the most, doesn't believe that I'm capable of love."
"Jen, I'm sorry. I promise, I didn't mean anything from that. I just meant to say that you're a reserved person, and don't fall for people easily. I've known you for quite a while now, and I just found it a little hard to believe," I said, slowly.
"Normally, I would've let it slide. But, I've had it. The entire day, all of you have been making jokes about me, and leaving me out. I tried to laugh it off, but do you know how it feels? When your supposed best friends keep making jokes about you, about your personality?"
Jennie's voice wavered a bit, and her eyes were glossy.
"Jen, I didn't know you felt lik—"
"Yes, I know that. I'm really good at concealing my true feelings. And, I also get you guys make those jokes for fun. But you have to understand, it starts to hurt after a while. These 'jokes' make me feel like there's something wrong with being who I am; like I need to change myself just to fit in with you guys."
She finally let a tear slip out.
As the salty drop of water fell down her cheek, my heart broke.
It never occurred to me just how insensitive we were being. We made so many jokes about her today itself, and I understood why she broke down.
I stared at the ground in shame, feeling my lower lip tremble.
I slowly placed the bags down, and hesitantly cupped her cheeks, causing her to meekly look up at me. I was about to speak up, when I heard someone arrive.
"Sheesh, sorry guys. I think I'm having less water nowadays, because it just wasn't coming out—"
Lisa suddenly stopped, sensing the tension in the air. Jen moved away from me, and looked ahead, sniffling.
"L-let's go," Jen said, in a shaky voice, and started walking towards the dorm.
Lisa stood next to me, looking confused, but nevertheless gently squeezed my shoulder. I looked up at her, and softly smiled.
I appreciated the fact that she didn't bombard me with questions.
We walked back to our dorms in silence, and by the time Lisa and I reached our floor, Jen was already in the room. I told Lisa a quick goodbye, and shut the door behind me. Jen was sitting on the bed, looking at nothing in particular.
I slowly walked up to the bed, and sat beside her. I wasn't sure what to say, as I didn't want to make things worse.
Suddenly, I heard sniffling from beside me, and saw Jen clutching the bedsheets tightly. I immediately hugged her, patting her back.
"I'm really sorry, Jen. I didn't know this was how you felt. The jokes were made for fun, and I'm so sorry, for not realising sooner, just how much they could've hurt you," I said, rubbing her arms soothingly.
She slowly looked up. "I-it's okay Rosie, and I overreacted too. I know you guys meant no harm, but it still hurt, you know?"
"I get it, but I just hope you know that we never meant anything out of it."
I lifted a hand to the side of Jen's face. Her body relaxed, and she leaned into my palm.
"You're perfect the way you are. You don't need to change yourself for other people. People suck anyways," I said, causing Jen to chuckle. "Just be yourself. Forget about those who make you feel bad. I know I sound like an absolute hypocrite right now, but yeah."
Jennie smiled, and turned towards me, embracing me in a hug. "Thank you, for trying to cheer me up."
"It's nothing. I would like to apologise again though," I paused, "and. . . about Jimin. I'm glad you have him."
"Really?" She asked, looking up at me with hopeful, glossy eyes.
I felt the tiniest pang of guilt at the fact that she was so happy that I was speaking about Jimin with a positive attitude.
I usually always ignore him, and never spoke about him, for reasons too embarrassing and private to divulge into, so I suppose that this was a pleasant surprise for her.
"Of course! I've seen the way Jimin looks at you. It's full of love. I'm really happy for you, JenJen."
"Well, then, I'm glad," she said, smiling and straightening her back. I hummed, and she got up, walking over to the mirror.
She gasped, and said, "I look like a mess! Look at the mascara smudged all over my face."
I laughed, happy to see her get back to her original self.
She scurried into the bathroom, and I sighed, smiling softly. I was glad we had sorted this out. I got to know a little more about Jennie, and I could only hope this argument brought us closer together.
Ping!
I saw a notification, and picked up my phone.
Lisa♥️

I switched off my phone, without waiting for Lisa's response, and looked at Jen who was frantically digging through her dozen shopping bags.
I just stared at her questioningly, and just as I was about to ask her what she was searching for, Jennie jumped up holding a dress in her hands.
"Found it!" She walked towards me, and shoved the dress in my face. "Bestie, this is for you."
I was startled, and fell back on the bed. Jennie just looked at me, and placed the dress on my face, before walking off, saying she was going to take a dump.
I held the dress, and got up, admiring it.
It was a cherry blossom coloured mini dress with adjustable straps. It had uneven frills on it, which gave it a messy, yet cool look.
I felt something fall near my feet and looked down to see a black corset. I picked it up, and upon further inspection, I realised it was a leather corset.
The dress is beautiful.
I stared at the dress for what felt like forever.
I was interrupted when I heard Jen laugh. I tore my gaze from the dress, and looked at Jen with a slight frown on my face.
"Did you like it?" She asked, standing next to me.
"Yes, I did, but just how much did this cost?"
"Ah, don't worry about all that," Jen said.
"This—" she held the corset up, "—is my favorite part of the outfit."
I nodded, still in awe of the outfit. This wasn't normally my style, and that made me want to wear it more. It would be exciting to wear something new, and goth-like.
"Oh my! It's already quarter past five! We won't have enough time to get ready for the party," Jennie said, slightly panicking.
"Hey, don't worry. Like you said, it isn't a party, if you arrive on time." I smirked.
Jen laughed.
-
It was half past six, half an hour till the party started, yet we still weren't ready.
"Chae, could you please pass the hair straightener?" Jennie asked, blinking rapidly. I hummed and passed the black hair straightener to her.
She stopped blinking and I noticed that she had worn grey lenses. Her makeup was completed too. It was simple but stylish; a perfect winged eyeliner, with dark red lipstick. Her cheekbones were highlighted with glitter.
"You look so pretty, Jen!" I exclaimed.
She laughed. "Thank you so much, hun. You look stunning too."
She didn't look at me properly, because she was focusing on straightening her hair.
I looked at myself in the mirror. Simple lip tint and eyeliner. I looked no different than how I did three hours ago. Stunning? Really?
"Oh, stop it, I look basic. You look stunning, not me," I said, folding my arms and staring at her. Jennie stopped straightening her hair and turned to look at me.
"You're done?" She asked, scanning my face incredulously.
"Well, not really, but—"
"Oh, good, you had me worried there."
Jennie interrupted me. I sighed.
"I don't know what else to do," I confessed.
"Do you want me to work my magic on you?" She asked, her eyes bright.
"Are you sure you don't mind?"
"Of course not! We must get you dolled up for Lisa, don't we?"
She smirked, and pushed me down to sit on her chair.
"No, we don't—"
"Stop moving, you'll spoil the makeup," Jennie said, applying some cream on my face.
"You're just applying cream," I deadpanned.
"Shush."
She put her finger on my lips. I gave up and sat back, to let her 'doll me up'.
-
"Do I really have to?"
I stared hesitantly at the shocking blue lens she had given me.
"Yes, you have to. Now, I'm gonna go and change into my outfit. I suggest you do the same, then I'll help you wear the lens," Jennie said, picking up her folded outfit and heading to the bathroom.
I sighed and began undressing. I picked up my minidress and wore it.
It's a little too short.
I held the corset and realised something important. I don't know how to wear a corset.
"Jen," I called out, hoping to get her out of the bathroom and help me. I got no response so I called out louder, "Jen!"
Still no response.
"Jennie!"
"Jeez, what's wrong, calm down, I'm coming." I heard her from the bathroom. I sighed and slumped on my bed.
"Why were you yelling like a dying goat?" Jennie asked a couple minutes later, finally coming out of the bathroom.
She was wearing a black minidress, similar to mine, but hers had netting. A pink bejewelled belt was at her waist.
"You look pretty," I said, smiling.
"Yes, I know, but why were you yelling for me like that?" She asked.
She saw the lonely corset lying on my bed.
"I need help wearing that," I said, pointing at it.
"Alright, come here."
I obliged.
"Tell me if you feel that it's too tight, okay?" She asked. I nodded and she began tightening the corset around my waist.
"It feels loose. Make it tighter," I said.
"Tighter."
"How thin is your waist, geez, Rosé!" Jennie cried, tightening it using all her strength.
"Yeah, that's enough," I said.
"I'm jealous of your waist," Jennie said, catching her breath. "Bring those lens, I'll help you wear them too."
She pushed her straightened hair behind her ear, before carefully removing a coloured lens, and keeping it on the top of her finger.
"This won't hurt, right?" I asked, a little scared, as it was my first time wearing lens.
"How do you think putting a foreign object in your eye feels?" She asked, sassily.
"Jen, I think I don't wanna wear the lens, then," I said, slowly pushing her away.
"Oh, God, I'm joking! It just feels like an eyelash in your eye, that's it! Chill," Jennie said, laughing.
"An eyelash?" I asked suspiciously.
"Yes, an eyelash. Trust me," she said, slowly bringing her finger dangerously close to my eyes.
"Are you sure?"
Unintentionally, I was slowly leaning backwards.
"Yes, stop moving and don't close your eyes till I tell you to," Jennie said, holding my arm firmly.
She then proceeded to pull my eyes open, to the point that I felt as if my eyeball would roll out. Carefully, Jennie placed the lens right on top of my eye.
"Jen, it hurts!" I cried.
"Close your eyes," she commanded, "now, open them."
"No, it hurts," I whined.
"Do you want the lens to dissolve into your eyes?"
"WHAT?!"
I opened my eyes quickly.
"Yeah, that worked," Jennie said, holding out the other lens.
"Jennie, you—"
"I'm telling you for the last time Rosie, stop moving. Or else. . ." Jennie threatened.
"Or else, what?" I fumed.
"Or else, I'll shove this thing inside your eye!" She said in exasperation.
That shut me up nicely. I stood still without moving until Jen told me to.
"Okay, done. Go look at yourself in the mirror," Jennie said, going to the washroom to wash her hands.
I was shocked at my reflection. My eyes weren't exactly blue, but they did resemble an olive shade. My lips were matte red, courtesy of Jennie's makeover. The eye makeup was nothing extreme, just some red bronze eye shadow, with a simply done eyeliner.
It wasn't much work, but it enhanced my beauty. I actually looked beautiful.
"Jennie. I love you. You're a genius," I said, still starstruck at myself.
"Did you like it?" She asked, wiping her hands with a towel.
"Like it? I loved it!" I exclaimed and ran to hug her.
"Woah, there! Careful, I almost fell down," Jennie said, laughing.
"Thank you so much, Jen," I said, genuinely thankful.
"Ah, no problem Chae," she smiled and walked up to the remaining of her bags. "Now, help me choose. Shall I wear these fishnet stockings, or these plain ones?"
"What footwear are you wearing?"
"Leather boots."
"Wear the plain ones then. They'll look better."
"Alright. How about you wear the fishnet ones then? Your dress looks a bit short, so that may help," Jennie said, staring at my exposed legs. "Also, I bought some hand gloves. One's leather, and the other is cloth. I wanna wear the leather ones, so I'll give the cloth ones to you. They'll look good with your outfit."
I caught the gloves Jennie threw in my direction, and realised that they were elbow length gloves.
I wore them and hummed. "They're comfortable. And soft," I said, smiling, "thanks, Jen."
"Stop thanking me, I'm your friend. Just return the favour when I ask you to," Jennie said, gesturing me to come forward, holding her phone out.
Ah, selfie time, of course.
"Okay, so, are we done?" I asked, after we took some selfies.
"Almost," Jennie said, picking up what looked like a leather collar.
"Are you really wearing that?"
"I am. Jiminie's wearing a choker so I'm wearing this so that he won't feel uncomfortable," Jennie said, smiling, "plus, it looks good with my outfit."
Jennie clicked it shut around her neck.
"It does look good. Come on, now. We're already more than half an hour late," I said, wearing my chunky heels.
"Yeah, I'm done too, let's go," Jennie said, after zipping up her boots.
-
"Didn't Jungkook say he would be here by 7:45 P.M?" I asked, shivering a bit in the cold weather.
"He'll be here soon, don't worry," Jennie said, staring at her phone.
"Girls!" I heard a voice and turned back to look at a very handsome Jungkook coming in our direction.
Jungkook's long black hair was swept back, except for a couple strands of hair which fell sexily over his right eye.
His multiple silver earrings were moving along with the wind. His black turtleneck tee shirt was fitted and stuck to his body.
That's when I realised just how well built he was. He wasn't joking when he said that he spends a lot of time at the gym.
His leather pants looked a bit too tight on his legs. Oh, his legs. . .
Rosé, calm down. Stare respectfully.
"Guys!" I turned again, and this time, my jaw fell slack.
Lisa was walking towards us, looking nothing less than posh. Her usually straight black and white hair was curled into soft curls near the ends now, her bangs now wispy.
Her makeup was really simple, a baby pink lipstick and some eyeliner along her eye, which just enhanced the volume.
Her eyes were an electric blue shade and stood out the most. She was proof that you didn't need to cake makeup on your face to look pretty.
She was dressed in a velvet off shoulder magenta top, which exposed a bit of her tummy, showcasing her abs.
Sexy.
She was also wearing a knee length black leather skirt, which paired with her top, made her look like a modern day princess.
Lisa. . . oh, Lisa. What are you doing to me?
"All of you look so gorgeous," Jungkook said, folding his arms and smiling.
"I could say the same about you, Mr. Tight Pants." Jennie smirked and nudged his shoulder, which made him laugh.
"Rosie and Lisa here chose my outfit for me, and I figured that if I change something they'll murder me. But, the pants are indeed tight," he said, shifting in his position.
"It looks good, now, stop complaining," Lisa said, waving her hand.
"Shall we?" Jungkook said, holding out both his arms, which Lisa and Jennie took. I went forward to hold Lisa's hand.
"You look beautiful, Lili," I whispered in her ear, while we walked together. She smiled.
"So do you, Rosie."
