Sharks POV:

It was a nice calming time in our Kingdom called Unique Pearl,
The king was talking with his wife and the princess was who knows where..
I sigh and swim pass the kingdom going to my small home that I shared with my father..My mother passed away..Evil humans got her..We were once fine with humans until they turned on us now we are hidden to were no one knows if we are even alive anymore..
But after mother passed away..Father became a little Depressed and becomes more angry easily so I always make sure to not get on that angry side of him..I only witnessed it a couple times.

"Father I'm home!"

He just grunts and turn away from me looking at the wall that had a family photo of us..

"Are you hungry father?"

"Leave me alone boy."

"O-okay I'm going to my room now.."

I sigh sadly and swim off to my bedroom..It has a chest in the corner that has all of my stuff and a seaweed rock made bed and a hole in the roof so light can come in I also had a baby pet shark...
Key word: 'had'
Father..got rid of it..He said 'I don't want this pest around I already have one annoying pest that lives with me..'
I'm that other pest..But don't worry my friend is taking care of my pet Oh yeah also its name is 'SHARKY'
I couldn't think of a better name..

"SON GET DOWN HERE AND COOK ME DINNER!"

"Coming father!"

I swim over to the kitchen to only be slapped by my father on the face..That's gonna leave a mark..I get tears in my eyes as I look up at him in the eyes.

"Never Ever call me father...its your fault she is dead."

"Yes sir.."

Flash back:

I was four years old and was swimming around giggling as my mother chased me laughing And the humans and mermaids stopped being friends long before I was born.
I was swimming faster but stopped as soon as a net fell around me keeping me trapped.

"I THINK I GOT ONE OF THEM BASTARDS BOYS!"

I looked up at the giant whale and was wondering who was on the poor creature talking.

"SHARK!!"

Father and mother came swimming to me..Mother cut the nets but got a sharp looking metal stabbed in her fin and she was dragged up onto the giant whale screaming..
Me and father swam away back home..He was so nice to me until I became 10 years old..And I would move away since I'm old enough but knew Even though father hates me That I have to take care of him or he would give up on life.

~end of flashback~

Tears started falling I then look down to see I made dinner during my flashback..
I sighed and put the food on the stone table in front of father and then swam towards the opening of the home(Like a front door but an opening cave entrance for them)

"Where are you going boy."

"Going to see my friends sir.."

"Why so you can get them killed like My wife.."

"....."

"Answer me right now boy.."

"I'll stay home sir.."

"Good..Now get out of my sight."

I swim off to my bedroom and close the curtain of seaweeds closed (Like a Door)
I lay down on my bed and pull out a small necklace from my seaweed pillow
'Mother slipped this necklace in my hand before she was taken..'
I sighed at the thought and
Rubbed a thumb on the bright golden necklace before putting it around my neck clipping it on.
'Im tired of staying here..if he says one more thing that breaks my heart I'm leaving for good..'
I swim over to the chest and open it seeing everything was packed in a hand made bag
'Good thing I prepared for anything..'

"BOY GET DOWN HERE!"

"Coming!"

I swam down to the kitchen to only get slammed onto the table.. my vision started getting blurry but I forced myself to stay awake
My father forced my head to turn towards his plate to show..Crab legs?

"You trying to kill me boy!? You know I'm allergic to those things!"

"I-i forgot I'm so s-sorry..Forgive m-me please!"

"I don't believe a damn word that comes out your mouth."

He throws me towards the ground and whacks me hard in the stomach with his tail I whimper in pain knowing if he keeps doing that then my bite wound wound I got protecting my friend goldy from a Orca will open up and bleed again.

"F-father please....stop...."

My vision starts to become black..As I shut my eyes in pain I become unconscious..

~~~time skip~~~

I wake up to someone saying my name and shaking my shoulder I groan in pain and open my eyes to see my two best friends
Goldy and Nate.

"Omg are you okay shark?!"

"Y-yeah...just a small hit.."

"Oh really it doesn't look small.."

I look down to see some scratches,bruises and that my wound opened up but is bandaged up again..Probably from my friends I then realized my father wasn't anywhere around.

"Where is my father?!"

"Hm..Oh when we came over to hang out and saw him hurting you I knocked him out with a pan!"

Goldy looked very very proud at what she just said afterwards she pointed towards my father who is unconscious and by him is a pan.

"Shark buddy..you can't stay here anymore come with us."

"I know...and what do you mean 'us'?"

"Were running away with you silly!"

"Wait what?! Why?!"

"I'm tired of being all royalty This Girl wants to be Free!!"

"I wanna leave because you guys are my true family!"

"Are you guys sure.."

"Yes Now get your stuff its time for an adventure!!"

I get up feeling pain go through my whole body..i grit my teeth and swim towards my room and to my chest grabbing my stuff..I sigh and touch my necklace that's around my neck and then swim outside my home to my best friends smiling.

"YASSSS LETS GOOOO!!"

"and there goes goldy swimming like a maniac outside the barriers."

"Yes sir ye"

Me and Nathan laugh and joke around while swimming after goldy and soon enough we are all out of our safe barriers and swimming far away from our home...
