5 YEARS LATER

LALISA MANOBAN'S P.O.V

The breeze of the ocean slaps my face as I flutter my eyes open. I was greeted with the view of the beach and the sunset. I take a deep breath as I stare at the view in front of me.

The mansion felt empty as she stand on the balcony alone. I hugged myself as a soft sigh left my lips. On my left palm is a sparkling ring, our ring. I never take it off and now it had been 5 years.

"Meow~" I look down as Lucy approaches me and starts rubbing herself on my legs, purring as she does so. I smile softly as I bend down and pick the cat up. Seeing Lucy, old memories come back.

I sigh again.

4 years ago, everything ended. When Jisung was found he was already a rotting corpse that the NIS barely could even recognize. Jungkook left no trace on the crime scene and with the help of Taehyung and Felix.

The case was closed.

Jisung was never mentioned anymore.

That night is the toughest night for everyone. Jungkook was found and he was rushed to the hospital. His condition is bad, very bad so he went straight to the operation room.

I felt like it was the longest hour in my life. My heart can't stop beating so loudly, I felt so scared. Now, I even realize 5 years had passed and I am standing here right now, in his dream place.

"We're home!"

And he is by my side.

I turn around upon hearing the voice and saw someone opening the front door. I smiled as a little girl appear at the front door and run towards me "Mommy!"

The little child runs towards me with her small steps. "Be careful dear." His voice calls out as he looks at the little child with worry. I kneel down as the little child jump into my embrace.

"Omo, my cute little pumpkin! Where have you been?" I lift her up and kiss her making the 3-year-old giggle. "We went to the beach! And Dwaddy bought me icecweam!" She says in excitement.

I gasp and turn towards Jungkook "it's the third time this week!" I gawked at him but Jungkook just chuckle "well, daddy can't resist this cute little fairy. It's not often, it wouldn't hurt her." He says with a teasing smile.

I shake my head before turning to my daughter "Jeon Hana, you shouldn't eat too many sweets or your gums will get hurt!" The girl gasp as she cover her mouth "What if my little gums got huwrt?" She asks cutely.

Jungkook who had entered the house had taken Hana from my embrace and lifted her up "Daddy, will chase the pain away and protect my little fairy!" He say as he kissed our daughter's face many times making her giggle.

I smiled and decide to tease them "and then monster tickle will come and attack you both!" I say and start tickling the girl who laughs happily. "Dwaddy, run! The tickle monster is after us!"

Hearing that, Jungkook run away from me with Hana in his arms "Run!" He laughs as we chase after each other. After what seemed like forever all of us lay on the sofa with both Hana and me on top of Jungkook.

We both are breathing heavily as Jungkook lets out a chuckle. As we both are laying on the sofa someone suddenly rings the bell. Hana is the first one to jump off Jungkook and run towards the door.

"It must be uncle Taetae, Aunt Jen, and uncle Yoongi!" The little girl says excitedly. Jungkook looks at me in confusion "it's Jennie's birthday, I invite her for dinner." I say as I get off him but he pulls me.

I fell back on his chest. "How dare you invite them without telling me." He say playfully and kissed my forehead. I chuckle and hit his chest before getting up and walking away as he follows my action soon after.

I opened the door and was greeted by the 3 of them "uncle Taetae!" Hana screams happily as Taehyung shows his infamous boxy smile and greets the girl. "Hello, sweetheart!" He says as he picks her up.

"We bought pizza!" Jennie says as she brings up the pizza and enters the house. Jungkook smiled at them as he took away the pizza and went to the kitchen. "Have a seat guys." I offer as I went after Jungkook.

"How have you guys been?"

Notice how Jungkook didn't go to hug Yoongi and how he become friendly with Taehyung? It's because he doesn't know the two of them.

Yes, Jungkook lost his memory.

Even if the surgery is a success, Jungkook suffers from amnesia. Yugyeom said, the surgery is one of the reasons why he lost his memory but the main reason is that he can't accept Jackson's death.

He refuses to accept it and doesn't want to remember, so his mind blocks the memory. Thus, when he woke up, he didn't remember anything, that includes me and his own mother.

We overcome that part and got married but I never tell him the truth. I told him that he is a lawyer in Busan. We moved away and live peacefully in Busan. Jungkook's surgery was kept a secret and he was declared dead by the NIS.

Jungkook doesn't remember but it didn't change the fact that he is the only heir of the Wangs family. His life had to be kept safe till he regain his memory himself. Till then, we have to wait.

He can't find out.

Everyone knew and have to act around him. He doesn't know I'm in the mafia, he doesn't know that he is in the mafia. He doesn't know Taehyung is an agent. He doesn't know anything about that.

To him, we all are friends in college who he can't remember and now he is trying to get along because he once told me "even if I can't remember the past, I can remember the future."

We decide to keep it that way. That day, laughter fills the room as they celebrated Jennie's birthday with Hana being the most excited one among them to watch the movie till night.

It's Hana's bedtime and Jungkook had brought her upstairs to put her to bed. We are watching movies downstairs when Jennie suddenly asked "no progress?" I shake my head.

"He doesn't show any progress to me," I answer with a sigh. "Just keep going with the plan, I guess," Yoongi says as he grabs the orange juice and drinks it till it goes empty.

Taehyung glanced at Lisa "Jackson had been watching over him till now?" Oh yeah... About Jackson...

He's alive...

Hohoho... Surprise bitches. Now let me tell you, this book will have a third book. I've granted your wish, they got a happy family but me being a cruel author, the conflict doesn't end.

The third book had a fixed plot, it's strong enough to create a new book but I haven't planned on publishing it yet. I didn't have that mafia vibe right now cuz I'm into werewolves and demons.

Literally giving the Demon Alpha multiple updates right now smh...

Whatever it was stay tuned for the third book.
