NO ONE P.O.V

The moment when Irene almost die, the loud beeping make Bang Chan who are awake at the moment to guard the castle, quickly run towards her room.

The figure smell that Bang Chan is coming so it suddenly disappear when he slam the door open. Seeing Irene limp figure make him widen his eyes.

He run towards her and check her pulse. He panicked and quickly call out for help, he saw a figure running away from the room and caught a swift smell of the person

The castle start getting quite hectic after a few minutes with bambam running towards the patient.

Lisa was awaken by the loud noise so did jungkook. Lisa left her son and went toward the noise.

Lisa : what is going on?

Jimin who are at the scene notice her and quickly went to her. Bowing his head in respect.

Jimin : pardon us your majesty. There is an intruder who attack miss Irene. She is back in a critical condition when Bang Chan found her. The culprit is yet to be found.

Lisa frown and went towards Bang Chan, he explain to her what is happening. She demand for the castle to be sealed. No one is allowed to leave and enter the castle at the moment.

By the time she said that jungkook had arrive at the scene taking their attention. As he arrive there he notice the amount of magic lingering in the air.

It's Irene's. He is sure of it. Considering that she is recovering. It require a lot of magic. But something about it make him feel a discomfort.

His throat feel sore and his head hurts once again. He cough a little as his sense could not accept the magic for some reason. Not liking the magic as it make him feel sick.

Seeing him like that Lisa grow worried and want him to go back to his room but she hesitate. She was about to ask joong ki to escort jungkook but he already motion her to go.

She purse her lips as joong ki give her an assuring smile. She sigh and look at jimin who also nod. She nod soon after telling them that she'll escort him

Lisa : report everything to me later.

Jimin nod and bow his head to her so did joong ki and the others. Lisa walk towards the coughing jungkook and slowly hold his hand

Lisa : jungkook-ah, let me send you back to your room. You look tired.

Jungkook who are not really in his right mind just nod and walk with her, not having the strength and mood to throw tantrum in the middle of the night.

She led him to his bedroom. Upon arriving at his room Lisa saw Yoo-na sit up on the bed as she rub her eyes tiredly.

Yoo-na : where's Appa?

She mumble sleepily. Hearing her voice jungkook pull away his hand from Lisa and walk towards her.

Jungkook : Appa is here. Sorry, Appa went out to check on something.

Yoo-na : you went to check on eomma?

Hearing the little girl guess, Jungkook clear his throat a little before snapping his head over his shoulder, knowing that Lisa is still there.

Jungkook : yes, sweetheart, you can say that. Now, now, why don't we sleep? You will be tired of you don't sleep now.

Yoo-na nod and Jungkook know it. He was about to put her in bed when she suddenly say.

Yoo-na : eomma! Lets sleep with us!

Jungkook froze and Lisa gulp. Seeing both of her parents reaction Yoo-na pout.

Yoo-na : why? do you guys hate each other?

Her voice is cracking as if she wanted to cry. Jungkook instantly answer.

Jungkook : no! Of course we don't. She was about to come here and sleep with us. Don't cry sweetheart.

Yoo-na eyes lit up. She sit up and push her father on the bed, startling him. She jump out from her bed and run to her mother, she pull her starling Lisa too.

Yoo-na bring her to the bed and push her to the bed making her lay dangerously close to her mate. She could smell the scent that she loves the most.

She blush.

Jungkook's face turn red too.

Soon enough Yoo-na sneak in between of them snuggling towards them, missing the warmth and comfort. In a swift second the little girl fall asleep leaving the couple in an awkward situation.

The air almost suffocate her. Jungkook is the same. She don't know either to sleep or start a conversation. She want to talk with him but too scared to do it.

Jungkook : I didn't hate you...

He begin, his tribrid side is getting crazy for getting to be this close to their mate. Deep down jungkook didn't hate her. He can't. But instead...

Jungkook : I don't love you either...

Lisa's breath hitch. Is it a rejection? Cuz her wolf is howling in devastation.

Jungkook : my love is gone the moment you are not by my side when our family is falling apart.

His lycan is growling on the back of his head but Jungkook is powerful enough to shut him up.

Jungkook : you're late...

Jungkook : you're not there...

Jungkook : you're never there...

Silent tears already left her eyes when he said that but of course jungkook don't know it. Yet she is going to lie.

It's true.

She is always busy and start forgetting about her family. She wasn't there, she always weren't there. She is reckless and she know it's her fault.

Jungkook : yet I'm not going to reject you. We have a children and I am holding out for their sake. So you should too...

As he said that he went near Yoo-na and kiss her forehead before he went to the dreamland.

Lisa silently wipe her tears, she stare at jungkook's face before closing her eyes and went to the dreamland with a heavy heart.

Little do they know that the little girl between them aren't asleep and she heard everything that was said with a teary eyes.

The next day is pretty overwhelming. She woke up with and empty bed once again. Not even Yoo-na was there. Remembering her duty as a queen she quickly prepare herself.

She ate breakfast but she barely eat it. Of course it concerns everybody considering that none of them had saw jungkook since the morning

Soon enough she was told that Bang Chan had found the culprit. He smell the exact same person who try to kill Irene. It's one of the guard.

Lisa, of course is furious. The guard try to defend himself but all of the prove is pointing at him. He soon was proved guilty. Lisa demand him to be burn Infront of everybody.

It is as a warning for not betraying the kingdom. Whoever betray her will never be shown mercy.

That evening people watch the punishment in fear, the guards scream of pain and tears would put them in nightmares. The royal family of course don't like the event.

They don't know what is going on. Even her mother watch her in sadness and disappointment yet her face is stone cold. She refuse to show mercy, she can't bare losing anything anymore.

She just watch the guards suffering with a cold gaze. Jungkook suddenly appear beside her out of nowhere, smelling the dead male and scrunch his nose in disgust.

Jungkook : I know you're upset, your majesty but I think you're taking out your anger too much on someone else.

Lisa notice the mocking tone in her mate's voice. Her heart ache. He is just beside her yet she feel that he is so far.

Lisa : are you saying that he is not the culprit then?

She question and glance at him. Jungkook smirk and let out a chuckle. Everybody glance at the two nervously. The air between the two almost suffocate them.

Jungkook : I'm just worried that the one who you punish....

...might not be the bad guy but the actual victim
