Skeleton pregnancies are stupid
Gaster winced and gently rubbed Harry back as they got sick, throwing up what had been a rather lovely breakfast.
Neither of them had exactly been ready for parenthood, he'd been hoping to get from datemate to mates before this happened.
"Here you go," Gaster said passing his girlfriend a cup of tea, having found out that if Harry drank anything but tea she'd get sick again.
He had thought they'd taken all precautions, as Harry was still building up her life as a monster.
After the verification from a doctor that yes that was a soulling, she'd had a slight breakdown.
He still loved her, it didn't matter she started as human or from another reality. He would never tell anyone, and it just made her treasure her more knowing she'd chosen him also,
"Skeleton monster pregnancies make no sense," she said with a slightly raspy voice, he nuzzled her hair softly and gently got her back to there bedroom to lay down. Her old room would be the nursery, he was already looking for a bigger place as his home didn't have a large backyard needed for a bonelette or babybones to play in.
"I know... once we got more serious, I was going to speak to a medical doctor. I was too young to know how our type pregnancy works, only how to stop them," he apologized, it wasn't exactly like he was fertile with many other monster types.
"Bad luck.. but we're not the last anymore, or.. won't be once there born," Harry chuckled as he tucked her in, she quickly fell asleep morning sickness causing her bad days. Today she was thankfully off work, yesterday she hadn't been so lucky.

"Your looking better then last visit, a lot less peaky," Toriel said when she visited with Asriel. The tiny baby monster was snuggling in his mothers arms, looking sleepily around him.
"We finally got the trick to what to do, to prevent me from getting sick after eating every meal. My Doctor was getting concerned," she admitted.
"I'm glad, its not healthy for a pregnant monster to loose so much weight. I just wish we knew more about skeletons, your poor Gaster lost the rest of his monster type when he was just a child himself," Toriel said grief on her face, as before she and Asgore became mates they were also the last of there type.
"Wars are stupid," Harry said, as so many monster types extinct or enslaves by the humans of this place.
"Its why Travellers are so important, another life saved... sometimes families reunited... species saved sometimes," Toriel said.
They both stayed silent, both knowing Travellers were insanely rare.
Soon they returned to small chatter, small snack and tea between the two of them.
"So what did your Doctor say about your pregnancy, you started showing a month ago but don't seem to be gaining much weight?" Toriel asked with concern, Harry placed a hand on her clothed belly which after after the soulling appeared in her stomach her ecto had darkened and thicken more to protect the life within it.
"Apparently, I conceived, the same night you conceived Asriel," Harry said dryly, a truly confused look came over Toriel face and she stared down at her one month old.
"Please.. explain that," Toriel said finally.
"Apparently skeletons who live much longer then normal monsters, also have glacial slow pregnancies. Three months for a normal monster is nine for us. When the soulling left my soul I entered the second trimester which is another nine months..." came her slow response.
"That's.. twenty-seven months long... over two years," Toriel said shocked.
"It also means at ten months, I have almost seventeen months to go," Harry said in disgust, sure the bonelette at the end would be worth it but still that was over two years pregnant.
The hug she got was nice, motherly and warm in a way Molly Weasleys never had been when she's been human and a child.
"Dear one, I'm always here for a talk or just be there," Toriel said softly, Harry found her sobbing and hugging back onto the queen of monster kind.
Asriel just watched confused as mommy hugged someone not daddy, meanwhile Toriel learned a secret of the neo monster that she would never tell anyone.
