A Castle of Stone
"Ma ma ma ma ma!" Sans cried happily as he ran around the house, tiny feet skidding across the floor.
"Sans Sans Sans Sans," she called jokingly back, he giggled as she lifted him up and kissed his forehead.
"Daddy home soon?" he asked hopefully, Gaster had been working late lately to get the core running to start electricity.
"Two more hour, around supper time," she told him.
"Awww...." Sans pouted, the route to the labs were still too dangerous so they couldn't visit him at work.
Too much lava.
"None of that sweetie, now how about we read a book together?" Harry suggested.
"Noo.. read all the books," Sans whined as only a babybones could, that was an issue of not having access to new books while sealed.
"Well, how about we make a book," Harry offered, drawing pictures and words on paper wasn't that hard. She'd find a way to bind them later.
"Really?" Sans asked excited.
"Of course," she said pulling out some paper and pencils, rare still had they had to be careful of supplies.
"Can it be about a bunny?" he asked.
"A fluffy Bunny," she grinned, and the two began the task of making the first of many fluffy bunny books.
------
"Dead to the world," Gaster said as he returned from tucking Sans in for the night, her mate looked tired but the underground needed power.
"He had a fun day, we even made a book together," she said kissing him, then showing the fluffy bunny stories they'd made today.
"These are adorable, you should publish them," he said looking them over.
"Maybe once we have more supplies, for now I'll likely bind them up in book forms for Sans," she replied.
"Always down to supplies," Gaster sighed.
"One day it will be better," she replied.
"hopefully soon, did you see the blueprints for the new main city, there fighting over the palace looks. One person wants Gothic, one person fantasy. Worse, its not even Toriel or Asgore fighting for these," she told him, she knew they found it frustrating as people had to much free time as too many people still were jobless.
They were trying, Shops and housing, infrastructures and farms.
Oh they had plenty of stone and stonemasons, which is why the palace would be made of stone. Fast and Easy, it would allow more job creations in the palace and more people could move into the palace making more space in the shelters.
At this rate, the shelters would empty entirely.
"I heard someone call the shelter the ruins today," Gaster said as they relaxed together.
"Ruins of what, there are hundreds of people there. The place is well maintained and comfy to live, even if small," she grumbled, she'd made sure of that.
She muttered under her breath, about assholes with too much time.
Gaster chuckled and kissed her, bringing her out of her muttering.
"Will you be helping in the city for building dear, I can look after Sans," he offered, knowing she was a bit stir crazy with staying home mostly.
"Asgore did ask me for a favour, the Judgment hall..." she hummed, apparently the place needed a certain amount fo magic infused into it as it was built which she did when she used magic to build. Something, about if a Judge had to judge and it went bad it would stop long term damage.
She might have zoned out a bit.
"Sounds.. interesting?" he said a bit confused.
"Hopefully that hallway will never have to be used"
