Payal was pacing back and forth waiting for the result of the trail which Akash has promised to tell her.

She wanted so bad to go and support Khushi but the guilt of playing a part in the torture by her step mother and aunt of Khushi made her stay back.

Since she met Khushi she has always been jealous of how easy it was for her to win people over, make friends and always be the center of attention which Payal couldn't do so she silently basked in the torture and degradation of Khushi by her mother and aunt by keeping quiet.

But Khushi's light never dimmed and Shashi always defending Khushi made her jealousy of Khushi increase with time.

She only showed affection to Khushi only when it benefited her.

She never loved Akash but the urge to finally beat Khushi by being the wife of a rich man made her a silent spectator in her force engagement with Shyam.

She neglected all the instinct feelings about Shyam being a fishy character because she wanted to get rid of Khushi.

That's why she never encouraged Khushi to expose Shyam again after her first attempt failed.

After the truth came of about Arnav and Khushi, she realized how sick and guilty she was by helping the Raizadas hurt her.

She realised who ungrateful she was for hating Khushi after her elopement with Arnav not knowing she was suffering in silence for her happiness.

A happiness she didn't deserve because she never really loved Akash but used him that why when Akash called to meet up she decided to come clean and she is happy she did.

Flashback.

Payal sat down at a small eatery closer to her house waiting for Akash.

After a few minutes his car pulled up and Akash hopped out and moved towards her and sat down.

"Am happy you agreed to met. " Akash said enthusiastically making Payal feel more worse than before and the expression on her face didn't give unnoticed by Akash who held her hand. "Payal........ I know I have lost every right to ask for a second chance but please let's give our marriage a chance...... You don't have to worry about maa because we will live alone and Papa has even given us his blessings after I spoke to him....... Please say yes. " Akash pleaded making Payal's eyes tear up and she pulled her hand away hurting Akash in the process.

"I can't give us a chance because I can't commit a sin again by using you when I don't love you. " Payal cried out shocking and confusing Akash.

"Payal... What do you mean you don't love me? ......... Please don't lie about your feelings for me because I feel my cowardice and maa's abuse." Akash asked still in shock.

"It's the true Akash........ I never loved you...... I only used you to make myself feel better for being above Khushi by being your wife. " Payal confessed looking at Akash and he knew she wasn't doing this to get back at him for never standing up from  her. "Since we were young I have always been jealous of Khushi for how she was always the happy and friendly one even after the horrible things she had been through....... She was always everyone's friend and everyone in the neighborhood loved her and my own father loved and was proud of her in ways he never was of me....... My resentment grew over the years and especially after my broken marriage with Abhishek....... I was always with Khushi only when it benefited me........ Meeting you was my jackpot for having to achieve something above Khushi........ When she and Arnav eloped I wasn't mad about them eloping I was mad because again Khushi had something better than me......... Supporting your mother and grandmother was my way of making her pay for aspiring to be higher than me but see I hated her for nothing because she would have laid down her life for me and yet I hurt her.......... Akash you deserve better than a monster like me....... Regardless of how you are,you are a good man........ Let's get divorced and go our separate ways........ And am sorry for deceiving you."

Akash who was hurt wasn't that surprised because he felt Payal was always jealous of Khushi and he inferiority complex complicated everything.

He held Payal's hand again and smile.

"Even though it hurts I understand you and I don't hate or blame you for using me........ If my own family can use to for their own selfish needs then who am I to judge you. " Payal felt horrible hearing this and tears started streaming down her cheeks. "Am happy you didn't pretend like my family members did and came clean....... I will start the preparation for our divorce but I have three conditions. " Akash said.

"What condition? " Payal asked curiously.

"One I want you to find Khushi and your father about how you feel about them. " Payal looked shocked at Akash through her de eyes eyes. "Two you need to cut all toxic relationship from your life like I have with the Malik siblings, my mother and grandmother and three, I want us to get to know each other properly this time around........ Only if you agreed to all this conditions will I start our divorce. " Akash said sincerely.

"I agree to the second and third but I don't think I can face my father and Khushi left alone tell them the truth and beside I don't know where they are. " Payal said and Akash smiled at her confusing her.

"I know where they are....... They are with Nk and her parent who have been helping Khushi........ Arjun Mehra is a good friend of my father and told him everything about the family even before us." Akash revealed shocking Payal. "Even before Khushi drugged us, papa already knew everything......... I can help you met her if you are ready. "

"I will need some time...... I hope you understand. " Payal said sincerely.

"I want you to I and Papa are supporting Khushi all the way....... And I know you would to. " Akash revealed and Payal nodded.

At that moment she began to fall for Akash sincerely.

Akash then agreed to tell her the result of the trial because she could bring herself to go to the court house.

Payal's phone which was in the center table rang and she immediately rushed to the center table and picked it up.

She received the call and smiled as tears of joy streamed down her cheeks as she hanged up.

"You did Khushi....... My brave baby sister did it. "

Payal's joyful reverie was broken by the news on the television.

Breaking News.

"We interrupt this program for a breaking news....... The most anticipated trial of the year has ended with ASR being exposed as a fraud...... Few weeks ago he made the entire nation and his fans outside believe he loved his wife and twisting the truth to favor him but just a few minutes ago all his lies were exposed with the help and testimony of Aman Mathur his PA, Mrs Sonia Roy, the wife of Mr Roy who provided more additional evidence to prove his press conference was all a conspiracy to force his ex wife Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta to redraw the cases under public pressure....... After all this justice was served when ASR was charged for forced marriage, physical and psychological abuse, defamation, fraud, bribery and tempering with evidence......... He had been sentenced to thirty years in jail which he will have to serve all before being released......... Mr Roy his lawyer has been sentenced to five years in prison and his license revoked forever for bribery and fraud...... Aman Mathur for helping in the case had the charges dropped.......... Payal smiled seeing the news and a disgraced Arnav being dragged in hand cuffs together with Mr Roy out of the court room with Mami, Anjali and Nani wailing as he was shoved into the police car and it drove out.

A knock on the door broke her reverie and she opened the door only to find her mother and aunt looking horrible but she didn't feel sorry for them.

"What are you two doing here?....... When I kicked the two of you out two weeks ago I asked you not to show you face......... And yet here you are........ Now leave before I kill the two of you which I will without any remorse. " Payal yelled at them making them flinch and run out of there in fear.

Payal let out a breath of relief and went into the room and took her bag and come out locked the door and rushed to the bus stop finally ready to fulfill her final condition.

Delhi Court.

Khushi and the others came out of the court room and when Anjali who saw her limped up to slap her but Khushi held her hand and slap her instead making her fall down.

Mami and Nani rushed up to a fallen Anjali and helped her up.

The trio threw an angry look at Khushi who wasn't a tiny bit affected by it.

"Your chote has fallen and don't be the next because the media is watching you. " Khushi said to them and they turned to see the media taking pictures of them. "Shame on  you Nani. " Khushi said and Nani looked down in shame irking Anjali. "Instead of making your grandson accept his mistakes, you rather encouraged him and now look...... He is disgraced all for this distasteful shameless woman you still protect. " Khushi voiced out in disgusted sizing Anjali up and down.

Manohar moved closer to them and looked at the trio in disgust.

"I and Akash disown you and Anjali for good today. " Nani gasped in shock hearing this. "As for Manorama, she is no longer my wife and what you do to her is you problem........ With Arnav's deeds now out........ AR will fall in a matter of days and better start working soon or else you will all be on the streets. " Manohar said to them shocking them.

Sonia then asked them to leave and they all left to the Mehra mansion leaving the trio behind.

"Poor Anjali........ I feel sick to have fallen for you. " Aman said making Anjali fume and she launched herself at Aman who shoved her back into Nani and Mami's arms. "Such a shame all this would have been avoided if only you had told the truth....... Karma is a bitch and very soon you will be on the streets because now Akash who could have handled AR wants nothing to do with it and the shareholders and investors will take advantage of it and take all the money they can....... Bye. " Aman revealed shocking all of them especially Anjali.

He walked away with smile on his face and an angry Anjali limped to follow him when she tripped and rolled down the long stairs hitting belly first to the ground.

Nani and Mami rushed to her in fear and turned her around as her head laid on Nani's lap.

Her white saree was now blood stained and Mami and Nani looked at each other knowing what it meant.

With the help of some policemen, Anjali was rushed to the hospital and straight into the theatre.

Nani and Mami stood in tears finally regretting everything.

An hour later the theatre opened and out came the doctor whom Nani and Mami rushed to with concern and fear drawn on their faces.

"Am sorry....... We could save the baby and your granddaughter will never be able to conceive again. " The doctor announced and Nani and Mami gasped in shock and held each other crying.

Mehra Mansion.

The family entered the house only to find Shashi who was left at home for health reasons hugging a crying Payal.

Shashi broke the hug seeing Khushi and an ashamed Payal moved close to her but Khushi looked at her in anger.

"Am sorry Khushi....... I didn't mean to be come an accomplice of the Raizadas...... I le....... "

"You let your envy and jealousy get the best of you..." Khushi continued cutting her off and shocking her. "On our way here Akash told me about your conversation with him....... Babuji may have forgiven you but that doesn't guarantee I will forgive you...... I will need some time to think about it. " Khushi concluded and walked away to her room as the others watched on.

"Justice has finally been served and our daughter made it through. " Sonia said and they all nodded.

Three Months Later.

Delhi Prison.

Khushi sat down in the visitors area watching to finally close her and Arnav's chapter for good.

She knew if she was to move ahead in life then she had to confront Arnav for the last time.

A few seconds later Arnav in a prison jumpsuit was brought to her table and made to sit down.

"Don't you dare cause any trouble. " One of the guards who brought Arnav said in a deadly tone and he nodded and then left the two alone.

Arnav with all the courage in the world looked up at Khushi who had a poker face on.

His time here has thought him a lot of lesson including the fact that money can't buy you happiness.

"I came here to tell you I don't blame you for what you did. " Arnav's eyes teared up and tears streamed down his cheeks hearing Khushi forgiving him after all the harm he did to her.
"You did everything for the sister who only valued the money you made and the fame you got which she basked in...... Your own Nani also didn't care to guide you after all the trauma you been through because of you seeing your mother kill herself........ All she cared was pleasing Anjali and Anjali being the manipulative woman she is, used that to her advantage but karma got her good....... I heard she had a miscarriage and is barren for good....... You also had your lawyer give away all your wealth and kicked her, Nani and Mami out on the street. " Khushi said with reprimand in her voice and Arnav felt more miserable that the girl he hurt understands him more than his own family did and after everything he is still concerned for his family.

"I can't allow them live lavishly while am suffering because of my stupidity....... I had to make them suffer also and what better way to do that than deprive them of what they love most and that's money........ I won't ask for forgiveness from you because I know I don't deserve it."Arnav said sincerely and Khushi sighed.

" You may not deserve it but I still forgive you Arnav Singh Raizada...... Am leaving and I hope we never met again....... Bye Arnavji." Khushi said shocking Arnav and she stood up and walked out of there with a clear conscience and free heart.

Arnav stood up and fell on his knees crying in regret and after a few minutes the guards came and took him away.

"I wish you all the best in life my love. " Arnav whispered to himself as he was lead to his cell.
