Chapter Seven

The week of studying went by swimmingly. You, Bakugou, and Kirishima were up to date with your studying plans. Sure there was a bit of a struggle due to you have to write down your responses or Kirishima not being able to comprehend something too well, along with Bakugou's rage fits. Surprisingly, it was easy to manage, he still aggravated you, but you can stand him to a certain extent. Today was Friday, and you were glad to finally have your two days of peace. After hard training, and head aching work, all you wanted to down was rest. But you had plans set with Kirishima and Bakugou.

It was to meet at a small cafe downtown so for a small studying session before quizzing one another on Saturday. Before going, you went home with your brother to change from your school uniform and into something more comfortable. Nagisa planned to invite his study group over while you went to the cafe with Bakugou and Kirishima. This was a new setting for your studying, you preferred the school library, or somewhere other than a cafe. But studying and drinking Sakura tea with a few sweet treats couldn't harm anyone.

"So, this is the place, correct?" Hiromichi questioned you as you both arrived at the cafe. You looked at the address and the previous messages you shared with Kirishima and Bakugou in the group chat. A small light brown building with lily flowers placed in front of large windows, and on the window written in gold said 甘い場所 which means, A Sweet Place. And they weren't wrong about that. You could smell the making of Ikinari Dango wave through the building and out of the public. A soft hum, that was hardly heard came from you. "I guess I'm correct, have the students arrived?" Hiromichi asked you.

You looked at him and gave him a small shrug, it being clear to him you didn't want to sign at the moment. "Would you like me to wait with you, or you wait alone?" He asked you. You looked to the cafe window, seeing just a few people, some at the bar and others sitting at the window. You were pretty sure the place was harmless. You looked to him and nodded once, as you made your way to the door, but it was opened for you by Hiromichi. "I'll return when you're ready to return." He told you. You gave him a silent nod and a wave before entering the cafe, now hearing soft music playing as others talked softly amongst it.

You looked to the counter to see a few employees, one being an elderly woman drinking tea as other employees were working around the cafe. "Kon'nichiwa!" A young girl behind the counter said to you. You raised your hand and nodded your head to her, seeing her smile at you before turning her attention to another customer. You walked to the show glass, seeing all the dessert treats that were all lined up together perfectly. The sight of Ikinari Dango and Mitarashi Dango made your mouth water. As your mind was filled by the thought of sweets, a person said. "Like anything?" You slowly turned to see Kirishima standing next to you. His eyes focused on the sweets before they went to you, a smile coming to his face.

You looked to him with the same blank face you always had, no emotion, and no smile. You turned back to the glass and pointed to the Ikinari Dango, the same bored expression on your face. "Ah, that looks good! I'll get that too, what's about you Bakugo? It's all on me!" Kirishima beamed. "I don't need your pity money shitty hair, and I already ate." The blonde told him, only getting a smile and nod from the redhead. "Alright then, I'll order our snacks while you and Bakugo look for a spot, okay?" You nodded at his order as Bakugo rolled his eyes.

Kirishima walked over to the line, leaving you standing with the tall blonde by the show glass. "Oi, follow me. There's an open spot over by the windows." He told you. As always, you nodded and walked with him to the spot by the window. Even though the walk there was just seven seconds, it felt like an entirety. Bakugo's presence suffocated you. You could feel his pride and rage seeping through him with every moment he made, it reminded you of him in every way. You sat across from Bakugo, seeing that he was tense. His body stood stiff and his finger quickly tapped against the clean table.

His crimson red eyes flickered in the light from the sun that shined through the window. For a quick moment, those eyes looked towards yours then away once again. "Tch, how long does it take to order a damn cake? We might as well get started if we want to make any progress." He said, taking out a few books from his bag, as you did the same. Right, it wasn't too long before you both were captivated in your own words, rarely making any conversation. One being you don't speak, but when he would ask you a question, you would write down your answer.

"You know...for a guy who doesn't even talk, you sure are one cocky bastard," Bakugou said, a slight smirk growing on his face. He tore the paper from the book, crumbling it into his hands, and gently tossing it at you, having it bounce from your head onto her lap. "But so am I, and I'm not gonna fall for this little game you're playing. I know how to get words out of you." He challenged. Your face stayed blank as you wrote in your notebook once again, then showing it to him.

Try me.

Is what you wrote in reply to his challenge. He looked shocked before he cracked a smirk onto his face once more. "You are one-" "Hereeeeee's Kiri!" Kirishima said as he approached the table with a tray of your desired treats and drinks. "Took you long enough, what the hell took you so long?" Bakugou asked the redhead who chuckled with a bashful blush. "The lady was really sweet and kept saying I'd be suitable for her daughter," Kirishima said, with his head turning back to the counter to show a girl around Kirishima's age. She had a pretty face but what stood out about her the most was her long gray hair that was neatly put into a bun. She reminded you of her.

"So what are we starting with fellas?" Kirishima asked you both as he bit into a muffin he bought for himself. From that point on, the three of you studied to no end, and you didn't want to admit it. But it was fun. The little jokes Kirishima made as Bakugou raged and hit Kirishima with a paper as he told him the right information. The day couldn't have gone any better. "

"Hey guys, we should end it here before the weather gets bad, its been awful this week. And I didn't bring an umbrella if it does rain." Kirishima chuckled. "You idiot, drizzling rain won't kill you," Bakugou said, throwing his bag off his shoulder. The two looked to you, seeing you write away in your notebook before showing them your response.

We can leave now. What time tomorrow?

"Ah, good question Y/n, hmmm, how about at Bakugou's place! Same time too!" The redhead said. Bakugou flinched with his teeth clenched. "What!? Hell no, you extras aren't coming in my house!" He yelled, bringing Kirishima to laugh and take your hand into his. His touch was so gentle but altering, giving you the hint to run. "Let's get out of here Y/n before he changes his mind!" He said to you, running out of the cafe with a smile, pulling you along. "Get back here shitty hair!" You heard Bakugou yell as you both ran down the sidewalk. You look to Kirishima smile widely with his skin glowing in the setting sun and the soft wind blowing in his red hair.

He looked back at you, stopping in his tracks with his smile still on his face. "Sorry for running out there like that, he keeps all antsy when people enter his space, but I'm sure for a little cutie like you, he wouldn't mind." He said, his eyes growing wide when he heard what he said. "I-I mean MANLY! Yeah, manly! Wait- Don't think there's anything wrong with being cute is that uh- you- I-" You stared at him, as you did everyone. With a blank expression. "Oh, and we're holding hands, that probably made you feel awkward I'm sorry!" He blurted, as he bowed before you. You would take out your notebook and write in your response, tapping his shoulder. He looked up, his face beat red as he read what he said.

It's okay that you think that I'm cute, I think thats cute and manly of you. You can hold my hand as well, I don't mind.

Kirishima smiled at you with cheeks a light red. "Well, that's good at least." He chuckled as he stood up properly, and rubbing the back of his neck. You would nod in reply, seeing that he was back to his "manly" self. "So, do you want me to walk you home? I don't mind doing so-" "That wouldn't necessary, young man." A cool deep voice uttered, a voice you knew too well. You turned to see Hiromichi, dressed in all black as per usual, with the same coy expression on his face. "Come along now young master. I'm sure those cake sweets didn't satisfy your hunger as dinner would." Hiromichi said, bringing to his said, you both turning to Kirishima to leave. "W-Wait, are you are his father..?" Kirishima asked

Hiromichi chuckled and side glanced the young student with a smirk. "I am simply a butler, one hell of a butler." He told him. Then in just a blink of an eye, you both were gone.

========

"Y/nnnnnnn!" Nagisa called as he ran to you, his arms open wide to which they immediately went around you. "You're back, back from the war!" He referenced a movie you both watched with your mother one night. "Young master, he wasn't in a war, and if he were to be recruited for one, your parents would do everything in their power so he doesn't take part in it. Must I remind you of your elementary school field trip?" Hiromichi said, bringing Nagisa to cringe. "Please don't, I'm gonna cringe myself to sleep if you do." He said with a shiver. Hiromichi chuckled and ushered you both to the stairs. "You two occupy yourselves while I prepare dinner." He said. "Thanks, Michi!" Nagisa said with a grin as jumped up the stairs while you quietly followed along.

"You know, studying is kinda easy when you have a buff dude yelling it at you. You can focus on math and muscles." Nagisa said with a smirk as he elbowed your side with a gentle nudge. You dropped your head to hide your burning face at the sudden image that came to your head. One thing about Nagisa was about how boldly honest he is. He didn't bother to hide his attraction to men and women. He took pride in it, just as he did with everything. You'd think he'd change up for the class president, but nope! He'll forever be himself, no matter what. "Aye, don't be all flustered up, you can share those thoughts in your head too." He said, with his hand resting against your head and ruffling your hair. You looked up to see him giving you a smile and a friendly wink.

Yep, Nagisa will always stay the same.

Always.

==================

You woke up to the sound of your phone vibrating on your nightstand to no end. The screen turning on each time it vibrated. You sat up in bed, rubbing your eyes so they adjusted to the bright light of the sun that blared through your windows. Once you felt awake you grabbed your phone and looked to see what all the noise was about. Turns out, last night you were added into a group chat by Kirishima. The only people in there were you, Kirishima, Sero, Kaminari, Mina, and Bakugou. That explained everything. But it seemed that the only one's active with Bakugou and Kirishima at moment. You read through the messages to see that the two were going back and forth about where to study before Bakugou reluctantly agreed to study at his place for the day.

🦈Kiri🦈: Y/N's on now! Morning Y/n!

You froze at the sight of his message. How could you forget something you just mentioned? What do you reply with? Good morning? How are you? What are we doing today? Your mind wandered to no end until your phone vibrated once more.

🦈Kiri🦈: We're gonna meet up at Bakugou's place around 12, and don't worry, his place is nice, and so are his parents!

💥Bakugou💥: DON'T TALK ABOUT THEM LIKE THAT YOU EXTRA

🦈Kirishima🦈: He's just mad because his mom said I was a good influence on him lol

Your lip curved into a small smile as you read the banter between the two. Eventually, you replied to them.

Y/n: Lol, I'll be ready by then.

And with that, you put your phone back in charge as you got out of bed. Just as your feet touched your slippers, Nagisa barged in with a wide grin. "Goooooood morning!" He said as he jumped onto your bed, with his arm immediately latching around you. He was dressed in his night attire with a night robe on that dropped at his covered shoulders. "Ugh, I wish I can drag to you all about Iida-Kun but I caaaaaaan't. And Michi damn sure won't let me sneak out." He said with a grin. "But, what are you doing today?" He asked. You took a moment before signing him your daily activities.

"Oh, hitting third base with Bakugou AND Kirishima? Y/n, you sly vixen." He teased as he nudged your shoulder. You gently pushed him back, which caused him to dramatically fall back and roll his younger out as if he were dead. You only shook your head and walked to your closet. "Oh! Can we match today? Color-wise! Pleeeeeaasseeeee!" He begged to which you nodded too. This habit was caused by your mother, ever since you both were younger she wanted you both to dress the same. No matter if it was a suit and tie or a dress and flats. So this was nothing new to you.

You chose to wear a dark crimson sweater that red 凍結 in black bold letters. Which truly meant freezing. With it, you chose to wear simple black jeans and red converse. As you got ready Nagisa went off to prepare a ride for you both since neither of you planned to have your study meetings in the manor today. Once you were ready and dressed, you packed your things and checked your phone, seeing that you had enough time to spare with a bit of breakfast. "Alright Y/n, Michi got a driver for us and made korokke, which might I add is delicious as always," Nagisa said as he tossed one into his mouth.

"Heads up!" He called to you, which you opened your mouth wide enough to catch to warm food in your mouth, which you enjoyed. "Great catch, now come on. Iida's place is far out and I only like it when he's yelling at me, not scolding me." He told you, taking your hand into his. Sometimes Nagisa makes you wonder where his boundaries lie. Where he sets up the line for too personal. But for as long as you've known him, it seems like that line doesn't exist.

================

"Ah, you must be the Y/n boy my son was yapping about. Come on in, he's in his room with his other friend." A woman with very similar features to Bakugou said. It'd be crazy to assume that wasn't his mother. She had his deep ruby eyes, spiked blonde hair, that was longer than his, and the clear glowing skin. She was his mother without a doubt. You stepped inside the home, engulfed in the securing warmth of the home. "You put your shoes by the door, oh! And say around three I'll bring you boys something to eat. Right, before I forget Katsuki told me you don't talk much, it's doesn't kill that boy to just say mute. But, anyway, if you ever gotta tell me something- I mean write something! I'll read it." Mitsuki said to you with a smile.

Hearing that from her made your body squirm. The feeling was pleasant but so unexpected. You cracked her a smile and nodded, to which she did the same in return. "Good. OI, KATSUKI, YOUR FRIEND IS HERE! YOUR GONNA TREAT HIM LIKE A GUEST GOT IT?" Mitsuki yelled suddenly. "I HEAR YOU, WOMAN!" You heard Bakugou yelled as heavy footsteps come down the stairs to show Bakugou who was dressed in all black, which is something you excepted from him. "You treat him good you hear, he's tutoring that little brain of yours." Mitsuki teased as he approached you two.

Yeah, she's definitely Bakugou's mom. The way how they banter with one another was comical, but thankfully it ended with Mitsuki patting Bakugou on the back and ushering him closer to you as before she walked off to the kitchen. Bakugou looked to you to which you blankly stared back. "Tch, come on extra. Kirishima is upstairs frying his brain on a problem I'm too irritated to help him with." He said, walking ahead of you towards the stairs. You followed after him upstairs into the hall, to see a few pictures hanging on the walls and a small table that stood on the right side of the hall with a vase of pale white lilies and a picture of Mitsuki and what seemed to her husband on their wedding day.

From just the quick glance you caught of it, you could easily read what Bakugou's father was like. A quiet and gentle man, who doesn't raise his voice if necessary. If he were to open the door for you, you'd assume you were at the wrong house. "Oh, if you need to use the bathroom, it's the second door on the right over there." Bakugou pointed out to you. You nodded in understanding, thankful for this information later. Finally, you both entered Bakugou's room, and to your surprise, it was sparkling clean. Everything he had was organized and set to his standard, which you could give him credit for. For high how he holds himself, he does live up to it.

The only thing out of place was the frazzled Kirishima who sat on the floor, looking to his papers and texts book with a pencil tapping against his forehead. He looked up and gave you a smile of relief. "Y/N, YOU'RE HERE! Can you help with this? Bakugou keys smacking me with papers and I still don't get it!!" He told you. Bakugou gritted his teeth and said, "Last time you were able to get it! Don't get mad at me because your dumb shittyhair!" He said as closed his door and sat in front of Kirishima with his own things. You sat in the open space between the two boys, making a small triangle. "You keep calling me that, even though my hair is like yours. But better!" Kirishima jokingly flaunted. "As if!! Do you know how cheesy it is to have the same color hair as your eyes you damn extra?!" Bakugou yelled.

Kirishima laughed and you looked away to your bag with a blank face. Truthfully, the conversation was hilarious, but you couldn't express it. It wasn't possible for you. It was better that way. Once the two have steeled down, the three of you began to study away, jumping from subject to subject when each of you comprehended it. Throughout your time of studying, the three of you constantly moved from one spot to another, being incapable of staying in one place. "Ah, man, I'm so in the mood for a break," Kirishima said, stretching his limbs and popping his knuckles. You would silently agree but placing down your book and getting up from where you laid, which was Bakugou's bed.

"Oi, who said you lay on my bed?" He questioned. You started at him with a dull expression before writing on a notecard in black marker and showed it to him.

Me.

"Why you little-" "Son, your mother made you and your friends something to eat, come on down before it gets cold." You heard a gentle voice say. "Coming old man," Bakugou replied getting up from his spot, along with you and Kirishima doing so after. The three of you walked out into the hall, seeing that Bakugou's father was already downstairs, probably to get himself something to eat as well. Once you all made it downstairs, Mitsuki presented her famous stuffed spicy chicken sandwiches, which lived up to their name. "Wow Mrs. Bakugou, you sure do know how to cook," Kirishima said before biting into his sandwich.

"Thanks, Eijiro, being a mom who gave birth to an absolute diva, it's come in hand," Mitsuki said, ruffling Bakugou's hair, who just rolled his eyes and ignored her. You would finish yours before the others, shocking them all in your quickness of eating. "Wow, looks like the extra Mitsuki made is coming in handy? Would like another?" Masaru asked you, to which you eagerly nodded. "Of course the little guy wants seconds. Everyone's knows good food when they taste it." Mitsuki grinned. "Even people without tastebuds can taste how bland it is," Bakugou said. "WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU BRAT!?" Mitsuki said,

And saved by the bell, as they say, Kirishima's phone began ringing. "Oh, darn, sorry guys. I gotta cut today short. I totally forgot I had some family stuff to do, and I gotta make it there before the weather starts going crazy." Kirishima said. "Oh, well, why don't you take some to go? Fill up on the ride." Mitsuki said as she began to prepare him extra sandwiches to take home with him. "And Eijro, I'll drive you there so you won't get caught out in there, and get those sandwiches wet," Masaru told.

"Thank you, I-I'm honored!!" Kirishima blurted as he bowed before Masaru. "Ugh, stand up dammit! It isn't manly, it's just human decency!!" Bakugou told him. "Yeah, and that's super manly!" He said. The two would go on and on as Masaru got his keys and umbrella. "By the way, Y/n, you heading home too? Or are you gonna stay here and continue studying with this little brat?" Mitsuki said. It wouldn't seem so bad to be here just for a few more hours, it's better than staying home in isolation, plus Hiromichi would most likely come to retrieve before the weather picked up. You decided to write your answer on a napkin.

I'll stay.

"Great, cause this guy needs all the help he can get!" She said quickly ignoring her son's tantrum as she gave Kirishima his to-go sandwiches. You all wished them a safe drive before heading back to Bakugou's room to continue your study session. "Since we got everything down, we might as- no, that wouldn't work. Forget what I said." Bakugou said as he sat at his desk while you sat on the floor. And just like that, the two of you worked in complete utter silence. You hated it. You hate silence. You crave for noise to be made, you enjoy the sounds of someone annoying tapping their pencil or clicking their pen. It kept you sane. But thankfully, the sound the erupted the silence was your frustration.

You could only let out your frustration in aggressive taps on your book that clearly took the attention of the ashy blonde who sat at his desk, hunched over. Once you said again, you heard him push out his chair and walk over to you before squatting down to you, his face read tension and irritation. "If the only noise your gonna make is tapping, then don't speak at all. What the hell could you possibly need help with?" He said. You looked down to your guide, looking to what left you frazzled. He grabbed the guide and sat next to you, reading over the questions himself. "Aren't you the boy genius in the class? Thought you'd know this." He said with a shit grin. You quickly grabbed a piece of paper and wrote,

Put your mouth into some good use and help me, Mr. Know-It-All.

Your reply didn't surprise him like the last time, it just made his smirk grow. As he thought you the formula, you would get distracted countless times. You didn't know what it was, but something else took your attention from the question. From how close he sat next to you, and to your arms would brush against another's. "Oi, you paying-" The door to Bakugou's room opened to show Mitsuki with a smile. "Hey boys. I checked the news and it looks like the weather is getting worse by the second, so Y/n, do you think you can call your folks to convince them to let you stay the night? Wouldn't want my son's golden pass getting sick." Mitsuki said.

"Wait, if he stays. Where is he going to sleep?" Bakugou question. "Is that even a question? Your room." She said with a smile. "HELL NO! WHY CAN'T HE SLEEP IN THE GUEST ROOM?" He yelled. "AND LET HIM GET CUT BY GLASS AND INHALE TOXIC FUMES? NO, YOUR GONNA BE A GOOD SON AND LET HIM SPEND THE NIGHT HERE, GOT THAT?" She shouted, ending the argument immediately. "Anyways, Y/n, our guest is currently under construction and it won't be ready anytime soon, so your welcome to rest in Bakugou's room for the night." She told you.

You nod and write the words thank you on a notecard. "No problem, go ahead and call your folks," She said before leaving you alone with Bakugou who was twitching away in anger. You got up from the floor, taking your phone from your pocket, ready to call someone, but you wanted to call them alone. You tapped Bakugou's shoulder, alerting him that you were leaving the room, but you weren't sure he caught that message. Besides that, you went to the bathroom out in the hall to call Nagisa. More like a FaceTime call.

Just as you called, he immediately picked up. "Yessssss?" He answered. I'm going to be spending the night at Bakugou's house because the weather isn't getting any better. You signed to him. "Ah, yeah, I'm gonna chill at Iida's for the night too. Which is a plus." Nagisa winked at you. You are aware that your plans have very little chance of happening, right? You sighed to him. "I can dream, okay? Besides, I'm kidding. I'm waiting until marriage like mom and dad planned. So once there's a fat diamond on the finger, I'm all set." He grinned with a giggle.

You shook your head as you listened to your older brother go on and on about whatever came into his head. You watched as the topic changed from one thing to another, and did not remain still. This was normal for Nagisa since he has ADHD. Which he considers his weakness, which you disagree with. But he'll never agree on why you think it's not. "Okay, well, I'll call Hiromichi and tell him what's up. Stay safe, okay?" He said. You nodded and signed him something similar. "Heh, sweet dreams to you too little bro. See you sooooon~" He sang as he ended the call, you doing the same after.

This felt, refreshing. A bit of distance from home for not only a day but a night was perfect. Knock knock. "Oi, my mom got you something to change in and a towel. Open up." You heard Bakugou say behind the door. You pushed yourself off the wall and opened the door to find Bakugou holding folded clothes in one hand and a towel over his shoulder. "Here, these should fit you well. You can put your clothes in that hamper," He said as he gave you the clothes and the towel, which was kindly placed on your head.

He walked past you into the bathroom, heading to turn the water on for you. "To turn it off just push it back and point it forward." He said as the shower head turned on, which wanted to take out some frustration onto Bakugou by getting him wet. You stood there still as Bakugou stood there with his hair drenched from the water. "Utter one word, I dare you." He threatened, with his back facing you. You would only place the clothes on the counter of the sink and take the towel and place it on Bakugou's head in return. Was it a good form of karma for him? Yes. But would it be nice to just let him embarrass himself? Yes and no.

He accepted the towel and left the bathroom without another word. You closed the door after him and got undressed to take your shower. Once the curtain was closed and the warmth hit your skin, your body relaxed. Your shoulders slowly dropped as you sat in the tub, letting the water fall onto you. It was soothing on your sore skin. Since you didn't take your medicine, your body ached throughout the entire day, but it seems like the hot water was able to help with it. After being in the shower, loge than needed you got out to find a brand new towel, folded neatly by the clothes Mitsuki had set up for you.

That's when it dawned onto you that you never locked the door. But, the person who gave you the towel had only that plan. You ignored your suspicions and dried yourself off and got dressed. The shirt was all black and reached down to your mid-thigh as the bands were just gray baggy basketball shorts that were loose around your waist and hips. You couldn't complain because they covered what needed to be hidden, but you worried if it would happen tonight. Let's just hope tonight won't be that night.

You walked out of the bathroom to be greeted by Mitsuki who was dressed to turn in for the night. "Ah, looks like I overestimated your size huh? But at least they aren't suffocating you." She grinned. You gave her a nod as a reply. "Yeah, if I knew Bakugou's clothes was like a dress on ya, would've sent my husband to buy ya something. But you don't seem to mind them all that much. Oh, and by the way, the futon we have is getting cleaned so you'll have to share the bed with my son, it's big enough for the both of you." She said calmly.

A bed, with Katsuki Bakugou. You only shared a bed with Nagisa and the experience was hilarious to what everyone else in the home said. You and Nagisa both ended up in different places from the night before. Of course, this was going to be different. You were already breaching his privacy well enough but sharing his bed might have been too much. "Hey, don't you worry about Bakugou. He's just hardheaded, but he's a good kid. Now you go rest up. No funny business, okay? Night!" She smirked, patting your back before walking off to her bedroom to turn in for the night.

You left in the dimly lit hall, the light only cone from the cracks under Bakugou's door. You sighed and make your way to his room, knocking before entering his room. Bakugou sat at his desk, with his computer on and his headphones on. He turned to you with his usual expression, irritated. Which seemed to be his resting face. "I'm sure that woman told you the deal, but I'll wake you up when it's cleaned." He said to you, to your only response was just a nod. He turned around back to his computer while you made yourself comfortable in his bed. By jumping into it.

"Aye, don't break my bed fatass!" He yelled to you. You turned back to him, your face in the same position as it has been twelve years. You raised your hand and stuck your middle finger at him with ease. His eyes widened as he stared at you, calmly flipping him off. "Why you little shit!" He yelled. Just as he got up from his chair, the calling of his name was heard from his mother to do something for him downstairs. Reluctantly, he went ahead to do it, yelling back to her and muttering under his breath. You would watch him leave, closing the door after him with a loud slam, that caused you to jump.

You couldn't find why people were "afraid" of Bakugou. He just seems annoying, and getting a rise out of him is entertaining. He only yells and talks himself up. What is there to be scared about? You laid back on the bed, taking a spot by the wall. Once your head hit the pillow the soft scent of red cinnamon candy filled your nose. The sweet yet vicious smell of the spice reminded you of the sweets your father brought for you on random occasions, especially after business trips. Just goes to show, you didn't mind it. You relaxed into the bed, resting above the black comforter.

You kept going through an awake and sleep limbo. But the sound of Bakugou entering his room brought you to your awake yet tired state. He seemed to have dropped the situation from before he didn't both you about it. He at least took into consideration to be moderately quiet, but the music he was blaring into his headphones was still loud enough for you to hear. You didn't mind the music, since you did have an interest in rock music and was never hesitant to have a new interest in music. "Music is music," As Nagisa had said before. You went back to relaxing, slowing dozing off to sleep to the music and the silence.

As a few minutes passed, the music stopped and the only noise that was made was Bakugou getting up from his chair and approaching the bed. You felt his presence looming over you before he made himself comfortable in his bed. The comforter was moved onto you as it was not him. The smell of red cinnamon grew stronger as Bakugou was closer to you. It made sense of who it would come from, other than some random person.

It was only silent. Not a single sound or movement was made. From the thick walls of the home, the storm outside wasn't heard that well. But the lights of clashing lightning made their mark through the window. "You're awake aren't you." He said. You could feel his eyes staring into the back of your head. Without responding you turned around to face him, seeing his eyes glowing in the dark room. There was an even space between you, neither of you dared to take it. You both stared into one another's eyes, with not a single word being said. You watch as Bakugou's eyes moved from place to place but seemed to study everything his eyes landed on.

"Why can't you talk?" He asked. This question wasn't new, but unexpected. Everyone in the school was under the impression you couldn't speak from the beginning, but Bakugou didn't believe that. "Is it quirk related or something?" He asked. You would shrug in reply, getting a huffed chuckle from him. "You know, one you're one hell of a smartass." He told you. You would nod, knowing that would just prove his point. He chuckled once more and turned to look up to the ceiling, having his arms behind his head. "If they were able to let a pipsqueak like you into U.A, even the top class, then I guess that means you have something." He said.

"And that also means, you're just another person in my way." He stated. That's right. He's just as a challenge to you as you are to him. You knew he planned not to only just be a hero, but number one. But little did he know, that isn't what you wanted. You could hardly care about fame, you only care about the lives you'll save. You looked to him with the same blank expression before turning your back to him and shutting your eyes once and for all.

As you closed yourself in darkness, the noise started. The screaming, the yelling, the desperate please of mercy mixed with sobs of pain as terror was brought to them, was all that rang in your ears. Then, the tight feeling of a strong yet warm presence took hold of you, ending the sounds that terrified you in the dark. You were safe. You were okay.

You're safe.

You are safe.
