Chapter Nine

"Yumi, Yumi, look, look! The little guy is holding onto my finger! See this shit? He's holding onto to me! Our boy knows how to keep a grip too!"

"Hehe, he takes after his father."

"Don't you Y/n?"

"Midoriya's right. If they knew my quirk, they would've sent me off to the fire zone, knowing my advantage would be water." Asui informed. "Right, so when fighting these guys, since they don't know what we can do, for all they know we can be super powerful. See? They aren't attempting to climb into the boat, which proves they are a little unsure of what to do next. But, that means they won't underestimate us either, they're playing it safe." Midoryia told, getting a nod of agreement from you.

"In that case, let's talk quirks!" Asui announced, already taking the lead. "I can jump high, cling to pretty much any wall, and then there's my tongue, I can stretch it out for about twenty meters. Also, I can spit on my stomach so I can clean it, but that's not really useful. Finally, I also secrete a toxic green mucus, it just sticks a bit." She told. You nodded in understanding as Mineta stood in shock. "In this case, we can definitely use my jumps and tongue here, forget out the other stuff." She said.

"That's amazing Sui. I have my super strength but it comes at a price. Once I use it, I'm pretty much out of commission, it's a double-edged sword until I can control it." Midoryia said. Mineta would reach to his head and pull out one of the purple balls with cam right back. "I've got these sticky balls." He told casually as he stuck one on the ship. "Their strength various, depending on how I'm feeling they can last a whole day. They can grow as fast as I can pull them off, but if I pull too many I'll bleed. Oh, and they don't stick to me, I just bounce right of them." Mineta informed.

Midoryia and Asui stared at Mineta in silence whilst you curled into a quivering ball, trying to contain your laughter. "WAAAAAAAAH, DON'T LAUGH AT MEEE!! THIS IS WHY I SAID WE SHOULD WAIT FOR THE REAL HEROS, MY QUIRK IS TOTALLY UNFIT FOR BATTLE!!" Mineta cried out, immediately getting Midoryia to calm him whilst you struggled in humor. Eventually, Asui was able to calm you down with a simple tongue smack to the skull. But just as that happened, a large hand manifested by water, crashed down, destroying and sinking the ship.

"That's a great power, now the ship is sinking," Asui said as Mineta took a run into action, throwing the balls on his head at the villains below in fear. "Mineta don't freak out, they'll guess your quirk!" Midoryia yelled as you looked over to see the villains being afraid to touch the balls. As you tried to point it out, Asui was scolding Mineta whilst he was freaking out. You rolled your eyes and flicked the stick of your finished lollipop into the water as you popped the gum of it, seeing as one of the villains swam away from it. Heh, wuss. You thought to yourself.

"Listen up," Midoryia demanded as he stood proudly before you all, with his gaze glued below. "A villain, so sure of a victory is bound to make a mistake. All Might said those lines in a TV interview a while back." He said, clenching his fist together. "W-What does that mean?" Mineta questioned with a sniff. Midoryia whipped around with his eyes wide with the pulsing rage of adrenaline. "We can beat them." He told. Just from that point, Midoryia explained his plan that you called him crazy for. Quote on quote the called part. Mineta was tucked in Asui's embrace whilst you wrapped a wire securely around her and the other around Midoryia.

Midoryia looked to you, giving a hesitant thumbs-up, which you returned before he jumped over the railing. Deep down, the thumping of pounding fear and excitement coursed through you all, as an ecstatic battle cry, crowed from Midoriya, whilst he jumped from the railing. "NOW DIEEEE!" He roared, bringing a shock of surprise to you. You never took him as the type to say such a thing, but apparently, you were wrong. "DELAWARE SMASH!" A plummeting force hit the water, causing a flood of the ship, and villains to be stranded. "Asui, Y/n, Mineta, now!" Midoryia roared. "Here we gooo!" Asui sang as he took the leading jump, with you launching a wire to the ceiling, for even balance.

High in mid-air, Midoriya's body floated helpless, before Asui's tongue wrapped around him, bringing him along. "Gotcha!" She slurred. Looking back to Midoriya, his head hung low, staring down at his hand. You saw two of his finger bruised and twisted, making your lip twist in a frown. Idiot. You thought. "TAKE THIS YOU VILLAINS, YOU CAN EAT ME STICKY BALLS!!" Mineta cried, laughing balls at the villains who were being sucked into a warp. With their focus on the balls, they couldn't find a way to somehow survive the upcoming events.

"Once a strong force is applied to the surface of a water, the water will be pushed away, and then come rushing right back to the middle!" Midoriya claimed in a wincing tone. Then, a pushing force of thrashing water, thrust through the air, carrying along with the villains, and the wrecked ship. In the process, the four of you were hit, causing the wire you used to keep balance to break. The snap of the broken wire, being loud enough for all of them to hear. "Uh oh," Asui stated, with Mineta immediately bawling to tears, as you all drew closer to the water below.

"What do we do, what do we do, what do we do, what do we do, what do we do, what do we do- MIDORIYA DO SOMETHING!!" Mineta cried. Midoriya, just as frazzled as Mineta tried to think of something. "I'm trying but-" Then he saw red. Blood red. The strong smell of blood was present, right before his eyes, forming into two large sets of wings behind them. Large sets of veiny wings covered them, rapidly flapping the air. In silent amazement, they all watched as you slowly fled down, closest to the fair level of water. Mainly because, holding three people at your strength whilst flying, isn't easy for you.

Once you all were down to your feet, your wings melted into the water, staining its crystal blue color. As it faded into the water, bubbling started to form, thankfully the group wasn't around it to see what effect it could do on them. Once they were gone, a burning pain struck you at your back, but you stayed dull and firm. "Y/n, that was amazing!" Midoriya said. "Would've been nice to know he could fly from the beginning!" Mineta whined, getting a swift his from Asui in your defense. "Have you forgotten the obvious thing about him? He can't talk. And we don't really know his quirk either, ribbit."

"R-Right, but Y/n-" Midoirya went silent once your body weight swayed onto his side. From the clear look of you, you looked pale, as blood tricked down your lips with pulsing black veins crept on your face. Your eyes looked hazed as a light gradient of what seemed to be yellow and red clashed with your natural eye color. "He doesn't look too good," Asui said. "Maybe when he used his wings, he lost blood himself.." Midoriya said, shifting you to his side, where his hand wasn't injured. Midoriya linked your arms together, so you could keep up with his gentle pacing in the water. "Let's quickly get back to shore, then we can try and make our way to others. Thankfully that attack was able to hold them all off, it was such a gamble-"

Weakly, you raised your hand to Midoriya's mouth, silencing the freckled trainee. Face flushed red, Midoriya uttered an apology as Asui took the floor. "We should start thinking of our next move to get back to the others, without being detected by the villains first. Especially with the looks of the two of you." Asui stated. "You're right, but don't worry about me. We should follow the shore to the exit, then we can avoid the central plaza entirely. There we should be able to meet the others." Midoriya said, getting nods of approval. "Good idea, that's a way to make sure to avoid all the villains Aizawa is handling there." With Asui's words, you all faced towards the main plazas, seeing flashes of smoke, clashing with yells and shouts. A pleasant song of destruction to any villain's ears.

Yet you, knew it so well.

"If he doesn't get any backup, he'll over assert himself. He'll end up defeated by those villains cause he was trying to keep us safe." Midoriya claimed, his eyes focused on only the plaza. Mineta winced in fear. "Wait, don't tell me you're suggesting- Are you trying to get us killed or something!?" Mineta questioned, followed by a soft "ribbit" from Asui. "I'm not saying we should jump into the middle of a battle. But, maybe we can find a way to take a few of those guys out, and lighten his load-" Midoriya stoped with you picked yourself up from him his side, the veins that were slowly taking over gone, but the pale look of sickness masked your face.

Breaking the silence of your sudden recovery, was the pop of your flavored gum. "Y/n, you only continue to me make question more about you than actually know you," Asui said. You gave her a thumbs up before pointing to the main plaza, silently making your way there. Your backside is being exposed, as noticeable bruises, and scars are painted on your back. With two large gashes staying put, gently dripping with what looked like blood. As the crimson liquid dripped down, it faded to black and disappeared from there. It looks gruesome. The pain you were in was excruciating, but even without talking you made it clear that you didn't want it to be mentioned. Snapping from his trance, Midoriya quickly went after you. "H-Hey, wait! We still don't have a plan of how to get there unnoticed!" Midoriya said as he was quick to your side, his arm resting gently at your lower back, just being careful to not touch any sore part of your wound. "A plan!? What plan!? A plan to get us all killed!! We seriously can't be agreeing with this!" Mineta cried, following along with you three.

"H-How about we just see how things are going? If he needs our help, we'll join in!" Midoriya offers, hoping that will calm Mineta down and his banter. "IF he needs it! He wouldn't need us at all, he's a pro too, remember!?" Mineta chastised verbally. Midoriya winched in reply, either due to pain he was in or backlash from Mineta. You grunted, your way of alerting the others to stop, deciding this was a good enough spot to watch from afar. "This should be good enough. We'll watch here, and if Mr. Aizawa needs our help, he'll join, if not, we'll stay low. Sound like a plan?" Asui questioned the group, mainly Midoriya and Mineta, as you and she were already on the same page.

The two gave their nods of approval and watched along with you both. The air is silent between you all. Huh, guess Mineta's prayers were answered. The sight of their teacher in full action, seemed to ease their panic. Swiftly, Aizawa dodged any attack, whilst using the binds of his scarf to delay them. His attacks were skillfully planned, leading each villain to their demise upon the training ground floor. You could your three peers were amazed by your teacher's eloquence, due to their soft gasps and mumbles of amazement. Looking ahead you saw a rather grotesque appearing individual. He stood around six feet tall, if they bothered to fix their posture at any point. His hair was shabby and unkempt, which did no good to the light blue color it possessed.

Gripping on the figures' lanky form were gloved hands that had gold outlets to their wrist. A hand covered his face, not helping you in seeing what could be under it. Quite frankly, you didn't want to see what could be underneath it. From the look of it, you could already his quirked, and this mysterious person to be known as "Hand Man." Your father would have your head for calling a villain such a childish name, but he isn't here, so that won't matter. Paying your attention back to your instructor and some glances to Hand Man, or "Handy Mandy" you noticed he took a full running start towards him. Your confidence in your teacher only expanded as you noticed his scarf reaching Handy Mandy. Just for it to be grabbed in an instant, yet, he held out one picky.

As the two soon collided, Aizawa sent his elbow forward, jabbing Hand Man in his stomach. You and your peers all were pleased with the easy defeat. Your faint smile grew just a tad at the thought of what Handy Mandy could possibly do. Have the hands tickle your teacher to death? What a pleasant way to die you thought. Though, in an instant, your waves of satisfaction diminished at the sight of the pausing statue of your teacher and Handy Mandy. Handy Mandy's own hand palmed your teacher's elbow in his grasp. They evened to stand in their position for the most antagonizing hours, until the sight of withering pieces of Aizawa's elbow fell to the ground. His entire sleeve was gone! As well as the skin that protected the tissue beneath it.

Aizawa seemed to recover despite the obvious pain he was in as he shoved Handy Mandy back. His attacks were no match for either villain that attempted to pin. Your waves of confidence and worry clashed together unsettlingly at the sight of a new mangled creature. It was tall, and sculpted the body of All Might. The muscles of its brain spurted from the tear in its scalp, along with its mangled yellow beak. The sight of it made you cringe, as your peers had growing pits of fear in their stomachs. Once Aizawa turned his gaze to it, a pool of blood painted the air just as his goggles were clean off from his face.

"No...Mr. Aizawa..."

Laying upon the ground, his blood painted the floor like a white canvas. Aizawa laid there as a soak painted brush, its paint oozing from the brush. What stood upon him was the painter, its massive form squatted above him, with its gargantuan hand holding him still and the other gripping his arm. Handy Mandy took a new stance. Satisfaction. Standing tall, with his arms at his side. You could tell he was going on with some egotistical speech, along with the siren screech from the creature that ran across the area. Aizawa seemed to move for a split second before his unharmed arm was pressed into the ground by the creature, twisting it out of shape. Aizawa wrenched violently beneath the creature as he sent out a cry of pain. You were positive he could've erased his quirk, though, from the looks of it, the creature ran on only its strength. It had to be weakened.

THUD!!!

Went Aizawa"s head into the ground, causing a fire degree hole into the ground. "I can't watch this anymore..." You heard Mineta whimper with tear drowned eyes. You haven't noticed the entire time you've been holding onto Midoriya's arm tighter than you could. Your grip on him gave Midoriya a frenzy of pain as your worry worried him too. You both shared eye contact before the echoing voice from ahead took both of your attention. "The rescuing hero is out of commission. But there were students I wasn't able to disperse as one was capable of getting outside of the facility." These words came from the mist of black shadow with a purple aura. Handy Mandy didn't seem to react to that well as he clawed at his own vigorously, huffing and spitting nonsense before saying these words.

"Let's just go home."

You all would gasp at his words. "Did I hear him correctly? Are they really just going to just leave?" Mineta asked. Immediately you shook your head no. There was no way they could just leave like this. It was too good to be true. After so much destruction you couldn't leave so... empty-handed. "That's what it sounded like to me." Asui hummed as Mineta burst into tears, hugging his amphibian classmate. Rather too close for comfort as she proceeded to smother him beneath the water, only letting him up for a few breaths of air. "I have a real bad feeling about this you guys." She said, unperturbed about Mineta, just as you and Midoriya were.

You nodded in agreement with her, as did Midoriya. "It's weird that they retreat now even when help is on the way that must mean.." Midoriya's word faded into nothingness as he was lost in his own thoughts. His thoughts most likely had to be similar to yours as their sudden retreat made no sense. You raised up your arm, wincing to the pain. Snap, snap, snap. Went your two fingers before the freckled boy's face. That brought him back from the screaming thoughts of his mind, to that he gave you nervous smile. Unbeknownst to you, that brought more attention, to a certain Handy Man. "Before we leave...let's make the symbol of peace is broken."

"Let's wreck his pride."

In a quick flash Handy Mandy was in front of you and your three peers, now seen clearly. His skin was dry, with a desperate need of moisture. Wrinkled lines on his face and cracks along his face seemed to stretch with his smile. The hand mask palmed his face to the point where one eye was visible. A pinpoint of his red eye glared down at you all as his hand outstretched for you all. Not you all. You. "Let's make this hurt shall we?" His hand inched closer to your face, as you stuck in place. His hand reached your face, as you were excepting your demised to soon come.

It didn't.

Instead, his hand lifted your chin, as his breath hitched at the sight of you. His red eyes bled into yours as you saw the frightening heat grow on his face. Not a word was said at this moment. Anything could have been said. Anything could happen. Yet, only the unpredictable happened. "Heh, he's really cool, isn't he? He was able to stop me.." Handy Mandy said in a breathless voice. "But you.." He said, pulling your face closer to his.

"I've finally found you."
