𝖝𝖎𝖛. Not everyone will adore you

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍:
Not everyone will adore you

AFTER THE JULIAN SITUATION HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OFF, it was a quiet day for Thalia. She just finished her morning and class and is now heading to the teacher's lounge to try and take a nap.

Well, that's what she's planning to do, but her fellow teacher says otherwise.

"Hi, Thalia, good morning!" Chloe is a 22-year-old new professor with your typical blonde hair and petite frame. Just imagine her having an attitude that comes from the movie, legally blonde.

"Morning, Chloe," Thalia says as she brings down her bag and takes out her coffee mug, and makes herself a coffee for today, "So what are you up to?" Chloe asks curiously. Looking at Chloe's perspective, she is honestly jealous of Thalia Elie Bennet.

She heard a rumor that Thalia was dating Dr. Carlisle Cullen, the famous blonde doctor at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. In her opinion, she and Carlisle look better together as a couple.

"Not much. I just finished my morning class. I have two more to go this afternoon," Thalia answers while sipping her coffee and taking out her lesson plan to freshen her memory.

Chloe looks at her innocently and says, "I heard Julian got fired because of you. Rumor has it he's been stalking you, a creep he is."

Thalia nods, not caring about how rude her sentence is, and presses her lips together as she releases a sigh. "Been stalking me for three weeks? I think, glad the principal did something."

Chloe chuckles and raises an eyebrow at her. "If the principal didn't do anything, the universities reputation will get ruined."

"What do you need, Chloe?" Thalia asks politely, and she just wants a peaceful morning without anyone talking to her. It's her break time. She deserves some rest.

"I want to know your secret," Chloe tells her while sitting beside her as she crosses her legs and arms and continues, "I happen to observe that those students listen to you attentively, even if it's an afternoon class."

Thalia looks at her and tries not to roll her eyes. All the other professors, too, are curious about Thalia's tactics but aren't bold enough to ask like Chloe, so she answers her with honesty, "Giving students the amount of work they can only do, and be kind and understanding about their situation."

Chloe rolls her eyes and picks up her nails. "Those students deserve the amount of work they are given, just like us when we were in university. Our professors don't even consider our situation. Why should we?"

Thalia is annoyed at her way of thinking and attitude. Every student deserves to be understood and patient with.

They need rest because they are human too, "If you have that kind of mindset, then maybe you shouldn't have chosen teaching as your profession."

Chloe looks at her with a pout and puts a hand on her chest, and dramatically says, "You break my heart, Thalia."

The woman looks at her with wide eyes. That reference shouldn't even be used at this time. No one turned a blind eye to what is currently happening in Manhattan. It shouldn't be taken lightly.

"Do you understand that reference? Those bodies have been found without a heart! How ironic, the murderer must have a broken heart," Chloe says as she stands up from her seat and is about to go to her table but turns around to look at Thalia and says, "I envy you, Thalia, just so you know," And walks away.

And Thalia just wants to go home and be in Carlisle's arms at this point.

CARLISLE CULLEN IS ABOUT TO DRIVE TO THE UNIVERSITY when he suddenly sees a note outside of his house. He is confused. Why haven't they heard that somebody came to their house? A house of 8 vampires at that.

He unfolds the note and reads. After that, he pinches his nose and sighs. This is honestly getting him frustrated.

He doesn't even know what to do, Alice doesn't even see a single vision of the person, and Edward goes around the city to hear the people's thoughts.

However, none of them even thinks about murdering a woman with similar features to Thalia.

He needs to get Thalia home immediately.

Getting Thalia from the University is a silent drive home. He handed the note to Thalia as soon as she entered the car, and the woman hadn't even had the gut to read it.

Carlisle places his hand on top of hers and gently squeezes, and Thalia nods as she carefully opens the note.

𝚃𝚘 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚜, 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚔𝚎𝚗 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚜, 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚞𝚜 𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚝 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚕 𝚍𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚑 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚞𝚜 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚖𝚢 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎.

Thalia releases a shaky breath and closes her eyes. What did she even do to deserve this? She asks herself repeatedly.

The woman is lost. She doesn't know who is after her and why is the person after her. She doesn't even remember angering someone. She's been kind and gentle to every person she has met.

"I don't know what to do, Carlisle," Thalia falters as she looks at him, dread spreading through her body like a plague.

Carlisle places a soft kiss on top of her hand and says, "We'll figure it out, my love. We'll always will."

As they got home, the rest of the family was waiting for them in the living room and was ready to discuss a plan and a backup plan if anything happened.

And Thalia couldn't help but feel thankful and grateful. These people have only known her for a month but cared for and protected her as if they had known her for years. This is the kind of family she craves.

The family will do anything and everything for the people they love, and this is where Thalia has thought. This is where she was meant to be, and fate had just the wrong timing, as always.
