MEMORABLE RELATIONSHIPS.
✷ DIEGO HARGREEVES is the most strained relationship out of all her siblings. Mostly because of his guilt- he feels like he's failed the "baby" of the family, and doesn't think he deserves to stay in her life, despite all the times Maeve reached out and helped him. She's never been the one to hold a grudge, but he can't help but wonder if he even deserves her care. It all changes in hotel oblivion, when they're able to actually talk instead of Diego dancing around her. For the first time in about twenty years, he hugs her.
✷ KLAUS HARGREEVES is Maeve's self appointed protector. Since Five left, Klaus thought it was natural that he was the next runner-up when it came to helping her. However, it was a struggle when Klaus was high more often than not. Maeve became his savior, paying for his rehabilitation for the first time when they were both 19. Despite all this, Klaus still tries his hardest to be there for his sister, treating her like a human instead of something fragile.
✷ FIVE HARGREEVES is the loss of Maeve's life. She had him for less time than he was gone- a third of her missing, having to go on knowing there was a chance he was dead. Waiting for him constantly, praying he'd come back in the homeless shelters she combed through. She waited- she let the lamp burn, and never let it flicker away. When he's back, she finds it's more complicated than she expected. Being one of three people he trusts, having to wait on him to come back from his missions he refuses to go in depth about.
✷ MILO HARGREEVES is the person Maeve waits on the most. Her other brother, the boy with a grenade in his mind. A grenade that only Maeve is able to disarm, when she holds on tight to him as he rides out his drunkenness. Maeve, sweet Maeve. The girl who sits on him next to the couch at two in the morning, wide awake in fear that he chokes on his own vomit while he rests.
✷ AMELIE HARGREEVES is the only person who understands Maeve. Lonely women know lonely women- two girls who orbit around everyone else. Pathological people pleasers, who only want to be seen for what they do. Two girls who are afraid of being burdens. Maeve would die if it meant Amelie was happy for the rest of her life, and she'd do it with a smile. That's her sister, blood or not.
✷ MARA DALCAIS is someone who Maeve should be afraid of; yet she can't even fathom the idea of it. She's the only other sibling who doesn't see Mara as a threat- a "monster", as they like to say. To Maeve, she's a powerful girl- but still just a terrified woman. She loves Mara to the ends of the earth.
BACKSTORY.
Maeve Hargreeves was born on October 1st, 1989, just like thousands of other people. The only difference? She was one of 48 children who were born with powers that day. Reginald, who originally only wanted Five, was forced to take the two others- "you take them all or take none of them", according to their mother. Growing up, Maeve was naturally weaker. The most loving sibling, who refused to spar with them out of fear of inflicting pain. Because of this, she was always berated by Reginald; he refused to allow this "softness", often inflicting physical and verbal abuse on her in an attempt to force a shell around her. One that never built. She endured and survived until she moved out the day she turned seventeen, and didn't return until her father died in 2019.

POWERS.
✷ THE MIMIC  —  Maeve has the ability to mimic anyone's voice without even knowing/hearing them,  similar to jabberjays from The Hunger Games.  It was often used to lure people in by mimicking their loved one's screams,  where Ben would attack them.  She's used it before in tandem with Klaus' powers,  bringing back ghosts to scared people while mocking their voices.
✷  PERSUASION  —  If she puts all ten fingers on someone,  she's able to convince them to do whatever she wants-  almost identical to Cate Dunlap from 'Gen V'. Used to disarm people most commonly, but as a kid she used it to get away with petty theft from her siblings- they were able to leave Griddy's without paying. Also used to convince Axel to leave them alone after he kills The Handler in season 2.
✷ HEALING  (SEASON 4)  —  A power gained after drinking the marigold once again.  Used to heal Klaus after they pour the marigold on them,  and again to heal Mara when she's injured during a fight.
