"Wait, she knows Thomas?" Alison thought, looking at Sapphire's pale face which was shaded by the room's shadows.
"So, I've been spending most of my afterlife, my death, in the attic," Sapphire continued to speak, "I've always been too scared to emerge, and so my feelings of sorrow, fear, and hopeless love have built up over time. The fact that I'll never be able to see Thomas again is depressing..."
Silence arose, until Alison spoke up once more.
"Well, how about you come with me to meet the others?"
"The... others?"
"Y-yeah, the other ghosts. They'd probably want to hear about your story!"
"Oh, ok then. Lead the way."
Sapphire trailed slowly behind Alison as they entered the main hall, but hid behind her when she saw the other ghosts. She wasn't used to the amount of 'people' in the room, and so her fear started to take control. But Alison calmed her down, and eventually she was introduced to the others. The rest of the ghosts, excluding a few since they were... somewhere, were asking questions about Sapphire, and soon Mary, one of the female ghosts, spoke up and asked a relatively risky question.
"You looks like Thomas... did you knows him?" She spoke in her usual tone and formation.
Sapphire stared blankly at Mary for a short while, and replied, "Funny you should speak of someone called Thomas! Actually, I had a crush on someone called-", but she was interrupted quickly by Alison, who just chuckled a bit and said to 'leave the backstory for another day'. Sapphire slowly nodded, and wandered off towards the mini-library (or whatever you call it), but Alison was held back by Kitty, who had entered the room just as Sapphire was getting comfortable with everyone's company. She seemed confused, and asked Alison something about Sapphire.
"Hey, Alison?," She whispered, "What year did Sapphire... die in? Her clothing style looks awfully familiar..."
"Oh, she's from the Regency era, probably from the years 1811-1820,"
"Ok! It's just... she very similar to..."
"Thomas? Yeah, she is. She hasn't seen him yet, but for the time being I'm going to have to keep her away from him..."
"Why?"
"You'll know soon. Anyways, go and get the music ready while I'm gone, we'll start our dance session in a bit."
"Oh, of course! I can't wait!"
And like that, Kitty had skipped off with a broad smile on her cute face. Alison grinned before going to find Sapphire, and she knew that Sapphire would have to meet Thomas soon. Not that day, but soon...
