SUZIE'S HOUSE

"How did you find me?" Sam Asks

"Same way I just saved you – magic. Had a feeling you might be in over your head." Rowena Says

"Yeah, well you can't be here. If Dean or Elena sees you...." He heads to the living room where Dean and Elena is "Dean! Elena!" Sam Says

"Sam! Dean!" Elena Says, She thinks she's drowning

"Sam!" Dean Says, He still thinks he's in Purgatory

"Hey, Dean. Elena what are you guys doing?" Sam Asks

Elena opens her eyes and she's trapped in a car, she looks and sees Denny and Corinna unconscious as the car fills up with water.

"No No Not again! Help!" She Bangs on the windows "Help someone help me!" Elena Says

Back in the living room Sam is shaking Elena's body trying snap her out of it. "Hey! Hey, Lena I'm here I'm right here!"

Dean is walking through Purgatory and is attacked by a Leviathan. Benny appears and cuts the Leviathan's head off.

"Hey, chief." Benny Says

LIVING ROOM

"No, no, it can't be you." Dean Says

"Hey. Hey, hey, hey, hey." He claps his hands "Wake up! Dean, Elena whatever you're seeing, it's not real." Sam Says

"Real enough to them." Rowena Says

"What are you doing?" Sam Asks

"They can't see me, Sam. Yeah, their too far gone." Elena Says

"Can you wake them up?" Sam Asks

"I only brought enough dispelling magic for one. Maybe if you'd told me we'd have company..." Rowena Says

"There is no we." Sam Says

"Fine, take this all on by yourself. But the odds are totally stacked against you." Rowena Says

"No this can't be happening again." Elena Says

"You're not real." Dean Says

"Oh, the spell's got its hooks in deep. If you want them both woken up... You're gonna have to rip this enchantment out by the root." Rowena Says

"The box! If we can figure out the fail-safe, we can break the spell and get the codex. Suzie's hallucinations drove her to suicide. Same thing happened to her family. Werther's illusions tried to do the same thing to me." Sam Says

"And so?" Rowena Says

"So I can't leave Dean and Elena alone like this." Sam Says

"Well then, we'll just have to tie up the bonny lad. Could be fun." Rowena Says

PURGATORY

"Come on, Dean. How long you gonna keep this up? The silent treatment for me? We got so much to catch up on." Benny Says

"Hey, look, it's good to see you, okay? It is. But like I said, you ain't Benny." Dean Says

"I'm not? Well, shoot." Benny Says

"Hey, I'm bummed out too, but you are just a figment, okay? You're – you're subconscious junk my brain's throwing up to distract me from getting back to reality." Dean Says

"Figment? Junk? Well, I'll try not to be offended. Why not trust me? I've gotten you outta here before. Besides, if all I am is your subconscious junk, well, then how can I lead you wrong? Well, how about that? A perfect circle. Don't look at me, chief. You chose the way." Benny Says

Back in the house Dean and Elena are tied to chairs in Suzie's house, they are both trying hard to snap out of it.

DENNY'S CAR

The car is still slowly filling up, Elena's eyes glow red as she tries using her powers to get out the car.

"Damn it come on!" Elena Says

"Just give up already we're stuck." Denny Says

"Denny your awake?" Elena Says

"Yeah your screaming woke me up." Denny Says

"No No this isn't really real, this has happened before...not again." Elena Says

"What are you talking about Elena, we're trapped and sinking meaning we're gonna die." Denny Says

"No I'm not dying, I've already died and so did you." Elena Says

"What are you talking about I'm right here." Denny Says

"No your already dead." She leans over to Corinna and slaps her face "Wake Up!" Elena Says

"Ahh what?!" Corinna Says

"We're sinking!" Elena Says

"No No No." She tries tugging on the door "Come on open, Denny we gotta get out of here." Corinna Says

"It's too late..we're all going to die down here." Denny Says

"No." Elena Says

BASEMENT

Sam and Rowena walks down to the basement, he shows her the box.

"Here it is. There's some kind of inscription." Sam Says

"It's some kind of cursive, but the light source has dimmed. I know what I've said about your kind, but...oh, the man who came up with this? The craftsmanship of the box, the sadism of the spellwork...it's all so... deliciously baroque." Rowena Says

"Alright, come on." Sam Says

"Illumnia..." Rowena chants the spell aiming it at the box, the sigils glow.

PURGATORY

Dean and Benny are walking and they end up at the same tree again.

"Well, now that is just creepy." Benny Says

"Benny, whoever you are, I need to get out of here." Benny Says

"Need" and "Want" are just two different things, ain't they? It's all a figment, right? You, me, left right. But no matter which way you turn, you keep ending up here. You gotta wonder—why this figment? Why this place?" Benny Says

"What are you saying?" Dean Asks

"Nothing you don't already know. This is where you wanna be – you're happy place. And you don't really wanna leave." Benny Says

BASEMENT

"Arcam confutare..." Rowena reads the sigils

"To silence the box..." Sam Says

"Mmm. Sitim restinguere..." Rowena Says

"Slake its thirst." Sam Says

"Sanguine nostrum..." Rowena Says

"With...the blood of our own." Sam Says

"That's it? The blood of its own...What?" Rowena Says

"The blood of our own. Men of Letters blood. Legacy blood. My blood." Sam Says

"Oh." Rowena Says

DENNY'S CAR

The car is hallway full of water Elena is gasping for air, her leg is still stuck under Corinna's seat. She's tearing up, Denny is looking at her.

"This can't be happening, I mean out of all of the things that have happened to me why this?" Elena Says

"Think about it I mean, go back to when you were in this situation. All the pain you were in..losing your father, losing Liam..you were broken." Denny Says

"What are you saying?" Elena Asks

"Think about it Elena..even though you were dying, you were okay with it. In that moment when your lungs filled with water..you were okay with letting go, no more pain no more suffering all of it was gone and you found your peace..." Denny Says

Elena thinks for a moment of what Denny said, the car sinks even more and she takes one more gasp of air as the car completely fills with water.

PURGATORY

"Remember what you said to me when we first met? About the purity of this place? Dean, slow down. Dean, stop. Listen. This.... This place you don't have to go looking for a fight. All you have to do is be still for one moment, and that fight will come to you. That's why you're here, Dean. That's the purity you crave – killing with no consequence." Benny Says

"No, Benny. I don't wanna fight anymore. I'm tired of fighting." Dean Says

"The Mark ain't. So, can't leave, don't wanna stay, bit of a bind ain't it? Good thing there's always a third way out. You can't say you haven't been thinking about it." Benny Says

"That ain't gonna happen, ever." Dean Says

"Come on, Dean. I know you can see it. The purity, the honor." Benny Says

"There's no honor in that." Benny Says

"What., you just wanna wait for the Mark to reclaim you? Go out swinging, die topside, then what? Maybe kill a few humans? Kill Cas? Kill Elena? Kill your brother? Yeah, that's mighty honorable!" Benny Says

"Benny, shut up!" Dean Says

"Oh, I-I'm sorry. I forgot... about your plan. You gonna get Sam, Elena and Cas to put you down? You really think that they're gonna keep that agreement? Come on. Dean, let's say they do. Do you think they will ever recover from that? It will ruin them. This little backup plan of yours, I know you've been thinking about it for a time, I know it's been gnawin' at you. You can't leave that job to them." Benny Says

"You're right." Dean Says

Dean breaks the ropes binding his hands to the chair, he gets up.

"Out there? You're sleeping. You make the right choice in here, you'll sleep forever, and you won't ever hurt anyone ever again. No one needs to know, Dean. What happens in Purgatory stays in Purgatory." Benny hands Dean his Purgatory weapon

In the house Dean picks up a bottle and smashes it on a dresser.

SUZIE'S HOUSE

In the basement Sam pulls out a knife "How do you know this will work?" Rowena Asks

"I don't." Sam Says

He cuts his wrist with the knife and lets the blood drip into a bowl. The tumblers in the Werther box begin to turn.

"It's working." Rowena Says

Upstairs Dean is still holding the bottle in Suzie's house. He still thinks he's in purgatory.

"I always did love it here. It's as good a place as any to call it a day, huh?" Dean Says, he's holding the jagged bottle in Suzie's house

Inside Elena is still trapped in the car, she's pulling on her leg and she gets it out. Rowena is kneeling down next to Sam as he bleeds out into the bowl near the box.

"Slow down." Rowena Says

"Right, okay." The tumblers in the Werther box stop "No, no, no." Sam Says

"It wants more, Sam. It wants it all." Rowena Says

"The codex... path to the cure. It's in there. If it wants more, it'll get more." Sam cuts his other wrist with the knife. The tumblers begin turning again

Upstairs Elena is tugging on her ropes, Inside the car she's look underneath the seats and finds a wrench then smashes it against the window. The glass breaks and she climbs out, then swims back up to the surface. In Purgatory Dean is still talking with Denny.

"I'd do it. If I really had to, I would. But the real Benny, would never let me." Dean Says

"We already covered that, chief. It's not me." Benny Says

"You know what else won't let me? This thing on my arm. For better or worse, the Mark... it wants me alive." He stabs Benny with the Purgatory weapon. "Thanks, pal, but no thanks.' Dean Says

SUZIE'S HOUSE

Benny disappears and Dean turns around and he's back in Suzie's house. He puts down the broken bottle, Elena's eyes glow red and the ropes tied around her fall to the ground and lets out huge breath, Dean runs over to her.

"Lena Lena Hey!" Dean Says

"Dean you okay?" Elena Asks

"Yeah I'm fine." He cups her cheeks "Are you okay?" Dean Asks

"Mhm I just felt like I was going through really bad acid trip." Elena Says As Dean laughs

"Yeah no kidding." Dean Says

"Where's Sam?" Elena Asks

"Sam." Dean Says

In the basement Sam appears to be ready to pass out from losing so much blood.

"It's opening, Sammy! It's nearly there." Rowena Says

Dean and Elena runs down the basement stairs to get to Sam, Rowena backs up.

"Sam!" Dean Says

"Sammy!" Elena Says

"Hey! Hey, Hey. Sammy, whatever you're seeing, it's – it's a trick. Okay? It's not real!" Dean Says

"Dean? Elena?" Sam Says

"Yeah." Sam seems to collapse "Hey No." Dean Says

"Sam!" She slaps Sam "No. Hey! Hey! Wake Up!" Elena Says

"Get away from me!" He raises his knife, Dean take the knife from him "No, don't! Don't! It's the only way. It needs legacy blood. Enough to take a life." Sam Says As Dean begins wrapping his wounds

"Yeah, well... it doesn't have to come from just one legacy, does it?" Dean Says

He shoves Sam back and Elena caters to his wounds, Dean moves closer to the box.

"Dean What are you doing?" Elena Asks

"It needs more blood, it can have mine." Dean Says

Dean take the knife and cuts his wrist. He drips his blood in the bowl and the tumblers turn and the box opens.

"Oh, well." Rowena Says

She turns to green smoke and disappears, Dean turns the knob and opens the box. He removes the codex and closes the box.

IMPALA

Sam in the Impala holding his wrist, Elena is leaning against the car reading the codex. Dean is walking toward the car with a sledgehammer. He puts it in the trunk.

"Overkill, don't you think? I mean, we broke the spell. The box is just a box." Sam Says

"Well, now it's scrap metal. You okay?" Dean Asks

"Yeah, I'm great." Sam Says

"You road ready Sam?" Elena Asks

"I'll be fine..really." Sam Says

"That says something, doesn't it? Werther splits us up in there. Within an hour, we're all on the brink of death. Sorry about yesterday, going rogue on you like that." Dean Says

"You know what, Dean? Don't apologize. I... I think that makes us even." Sam Says

"The universe is trying to tell us something we both should already know. We're stronger together than apart." Dean Says

"Mmh." Sam Says

"Now what could possibly be so valuable, that it takes a spell that nasty to protect it, huh?" Elena Asks

Elena opens the back door and gets in, Dean gets in the driver's seat of the Impala.

"No idea. But whatever it is, we'll keep it safe." Sam Says As Dean starts the Impala

ABANDONED FACTORY

"Well hello, cowboy. Oh, you've got it. Oh!" Rowena begins turning pages of the codex

"Is it enough?" Sam Asks

"To what?" Rowena Says

"To translate the book? To find a cure for the Mark." Sam Says

"Oh, aye." Rowena Says

"Good." Sam's puts shackles on Rowena

"What in the hell is this?" Rowena Asks

"Insurance. Comfortable?" Sam Says

"We had an ageeement, giant." Rowena Says

"The agreement stands. You will decrypt the Book of the Damned and find me a cure for my brother. And that is all you will get from the book. I'll burn the book, and then I'll kill Crowley. But until then..." Sam Says

"I'm your slave? You can't—you can't just leave me here." Rowena Says

"You want out? Hurry up. Get to work." Sam Says

"Ugh! You big bampot." Sam leaves "Ugh!" Rowena Says
