Y/N and Miles raced through the corridors, their hearts pounding with each step as the sound of alarms echoed around them, blending with Miguel's urgent commands over the loudspeaker.
Miguel's voice boomed overhead, sending waves of panic through the Spider Society. "All stations! Drop what you're doing and stop Spider-Man!"
Confusion rippled through the ranks of spiders as they pointed at each other, unsure of who was being addressed.
Miguel's frustration was palpable. "Ay coΓ±o, Miles Morales and Y/N L/N. They're entering sector 4!"
With adrenaline coursing through their veins, Y/N and Miles dove behind the back of another Spider-Man who was entering the room, using him as a shield from their pursuers.
The unsuspecting Spider-Man turned around, oblivious to the chaos unfolding behind him. "Do I have a web on my face? What's going on."
Miguel's voice grew more urgent as he closed in on them. "TURN AROUND!"
The Spider-Man complied, revealing Y/N and Miles crouched behind him. Caught off guard, Miles flashed a sheepish smile while Y/N let out a nervous laugh, overwhelmed by the sight of hundreds of spiders staring at them.
Without wasting a moment, Y/N and Miles darted away, their only thought to escape the clutches of the Spider Society and get back home.
That's all they needed to do, get home.
Y/N and Miles raced through the chaos, dodging webs and spider-themed creatures at every turn. The spiders piled on them from all directions, overwhelming them with sheer numbers.
Miles shouted over the cacophony, desperation clear in his voice. "You're the only one I can trust now, Y/N. What do we do?"
Y/N's mind raced as he scanned their surroundings for a way out. "We gotta split up, take everyone in different directions!"
Before Miles could respond, he was knocked over by a Spider-Cat, who coughed up a hairball in his face.
Miles wiped the hairball away, his frustration evident. "Can this day get any damn weirder?"
Y/N glanced over to see a dinosaur with web shooters closing in on them. They narrowly escaped its snapping jaws.
"There's a dinosaur right there, so you tell me!" Y/N replied, urgency in his voice.
Miles nodded, realizing the necessity of their plan. "We gotta split up!"
Y/N smirked at Miles' belated agreement. "Isn't that what I just said?"
Miles shook his head. "I know, but it's crazy how you start to think more logically when you're in a situation like this!"
With a final nod, Y/N and Miles split off in different directions, each pursued by a faction of spiders determined to capture them.
Y/N dashed through the chaotic corridors of the headquarters, leading a horde of spiders on a wild goose chase. He crashed into a large office, which resembled a therapist's office, before quickly darting out and continuing his escape.
"This place is a damn circus!" Y/N muttered to himself, frustration evident in his voice.
He kept running and swinging through the maze-like building, eventually finding himself back at the headquarters. A swarm of spiders closed in on him, their relentless pursuit pushing Y/N to his limits.
Feeling nervous but determined, Y/N knew he had to think quickly. However, before he could formulate a plan, a spider with four extra arms on its back lunged at him, grabbing hold of him tightly.
"You're not going anywhere," the spider hissed menacingly.
Y/N's anger boiled over as he struggled against the spider's grip. With a fierce glare, he activated his stingers and slashed at the spider's extra legs, freeing himself from its grasp. He pushed the spider away forcefully and resumed his desperate attempt to escape.
"Get off of me!" Y/N shouted, adrenaline coursing through his veins as he raced through the headquarters, determined to evade capture at all costs.
Y/N swung through the chaotic scene, desperate to evade the relentless pursuit of the Spider Society. Spotting Miles atop a horse, he decided to hitch a ride.
"Mind if I hitch a ride?" Y/N shouted over the chaos.
"I don't see why not! Yippee Ki Yay!" Miles exclaimed as they rode together, drawing a mix of cheers and boos from the pursuing spiders, especially Miguel.
Peter chimed in, "Hey, Miguel! Can you take a photo of this; it's our first chase!" He held out his phone, capturing the chaotic moment with baby Mayday.
Glancing behind him, Y/N noticed Gwen and Anya chasing after them. Betrayal and hurt filled his eyes as he swung away, distancing himself from Gwen. Before leaving, he swiftly punched a spider werewolf launching at him.
As they swung through the mayhem, they encountered a spider reporter on a wheelchair with extra legs named Charlotte Webber.
"Miles! Y/N! I'm a huge fan of your work!" she exclaimed.
"Really?" Y/N replied.
"Thanks!" Miles added.
The lighthearted moment took an unexpected turn when Charlotte made a wheelchair joke, falling out of her chair and inadvertently slamming into the two Spider-People.
"You're not funny, lady!" Y/N retorted before swinging away.
Their escape route led them through holographic old-timey Spider-Man and various villains, prompting Y/N to suggest splitting up once more.
"Sounds good, see you in a bit," Miles agreed.
As they separated, Miles ingeniously ran over a spider attempting to make a bridge, causing the pursuing spiders to tumble into each other.
However, Y/N's attempt at a solo escape was cut short when he ran into Miguel. Angrily dog-piled by the Spider Society, Y/N fought back, punching Miguel and swiftly swinging away, determined to stay one step ahead. "You're crazy, Miguel!" he shouted, his frustration mounting. The chase continued, each turn adding to the mayhem.
Y/N continued his free fall, pursued by an overwhelming number of spiders. Anya, seemingly conflicted, led the charge.
A distinctive black-and-white spider warned him, "There's nowhere to run."
Ignoring the warning, Y/N smashed through a window, escaping the building, followed closely by an enraged Miguel and Miles.
In a daring free fall, Y/N and Miles plummeted, chased by an ever-growing horde of spiders. Miles, out of webbing, continued to fall, while Y/N shot a web toward a passing flying car, using it to swing away.
Miguel's frustration echoed as they soared through the air. "Stop running!"
"Then stop chasing us!" Miles retorted.
"You're both so frustrating!" Miguel exclaimed.
"I can say the same to you!" Y/N countered, his resolve unshaken.
In a swift motion, Miguel slashed Y/N's web, sending him tumbling towards the ground. Jess, assisting Miguel, intercepted Miles and slammed him into another building, momentarily halting his descent.
Y/N plummeted towards the ground, the impending impact looming closer with each passing second. But just as he was about to crash, a web shot out and caught him, halting his fall. Looking up, he saw Gwen holding onto a web, her expression a mix of concern and pleading.
However, Y/N's anger and betrayal outweighed any sense of gratitude. With a defiant glare, he severed the web, refusing Gwen's attempt to save him, and continued to fall. Gwen watched him plummet, her heart heavy with sadness and regret.
She never wanted to hurt him.
But she did.
As Y/N swung through the bustling streets of the futuristic cityscape, his breaths came in ragged gasps, his heart pounding with adrenaline. Every corner turned revealed more spiders in pursuit, their relentless pursuit driving him to push himself harder.
Slingshotting himself forward, Y/N desperately searched for a place to hide, his lungs burning with exertion. Finally finding a momentary refuge, he paused to catch his breath, his mind racing with frustration and fear.
Suddenly, a web shot out and yanked him backward, causing him to stumble. As he turned, he saw Anya standing before him, her expression a mix of concern and determination.
"Running is only going to make it worse, Y/N," Anya pleaded, her voice filled with urgency.
Y/N shrugged her off angrily, frustration boiling over. "Running is the least crazy thing that's happening right now!"
Anya refused to let him go, reaching out to him again. "I feel bad, but you can't win, Y/N! You have to understand!"
Y/N yelled in frustration, his emotions raw and unchecked. "I can't just be okay with my mom dying, Anya! I can't!"
Anya's gaze softened with sympathy, but she remained resolute. "I know it's hard, but it's for the best for everyone, including you."
Y/N's anger flared as he looked at Anya, his disappointment evident in his eyes. "I considered you a friend, Anya. All I wanted was to see everyone again, to be with my friends. This isn't what I thought it would be."
Anya's eyes filled with sorrow as she struggled to find the right words. "If only you knew how Gwen felt, Y/N. She's only doing this for your own sake."
Y/N shook his head in frustration, refusing to accept her explanation. "I don't need to hear this from you."
Anya attempted to reach out to him again, but was interrupted by a voice emanating from her watch, Miguel's voice, cold and determined.
"Sit tight, Anya. We're on our way."
Anya's expression turned to one of panic as she tried to explain, but Y/N's realization hit him like a punch to the gut. "So much for being my friend."
With a sense of betrayal weighing heavily on his heart, Y/N swung away, leaving Anya behind in his wake.
Meanwhile, Anya desperately tried to reason with Miguel, but he was unforgiving in his response. "Do your job, Anya. You owe me."

As Y/N continued swinging through the city, the spiders honed in on him relentlessly. He spotted Miles swinging away from another group of spiders, with Peter and Gwen hot on his trail.
Gwen called out to Y/N, "Y/N! Where are you going?"
Y/N retorted sharply, "Away from you!"
Peter chimed in, "I don't think they planned this out."
Y/N, realizing Peter was right, began formulating a plan on the fly as he overheard Peter and Gwen exchanging words with Jess.
Jess complained, "If I haven't said it before, you are a horrible mentor."
Miles leaped into action, knocking Jessica off her motorcycle. Seizing the opportunity, Y/N swiftly slashed the tires and tossed the bike aside. With quick precision, he webbed Jess to the side of an ongoing train.
Jess protested, "You wouldn't hit a pregnant lady, would you?"
Y/N quipped back, "I'll settle for webbing your mouth," before taking off again, leaving Jess temporarily immobilized and the others behind.
As Y/N swung through the labyrinth of trains in Nueva York, the pursuing spiders were relentless, their determined steps echoing through the tunnels.
Y/N's heart raced as he darted through the narrow gaps between carriages, the wind whipping past him as he narrowly avoided collisions with oncoming obstacles. His thoughts raced just as fast, desperately trying to devise a plan to shake off his relentless pursuers.
Miles swung alongside him, his expression a mix of determination and concern. "We've got to lose them somehow," he shouted over the roar of the rushing wind.
Y/N nodded grimly, his mind racing. "I know, but they just keep coming. We need a plan, that's what we need."
Suddenly, a group of spiders closed in on Y/N from all sides, their eerie silhouettes casting long shadows in the dimly lit tunnel. With lightning-fast reflexes, they lunged at him, their claws outstretched.
Y/N gritted his teeth, his instincts kicking into overdrive. As they grabbed hold of him, he deployed his stingers with a swift motion, slashing at one of the spiders as they screamed out in pain. With a powerful swing and a well-aimed kick, he sent them tumbling away.
Y/N's heart pounded in his chest as he swung from car to car, the wind whipping against his face as he narrowly avoided the grasping talons of the spiders behind him.
But just as Y/N thought he had gained the upper hand, Miguel appeared before him, his talons glinting in the dim light of the train car. With a savage swipe, Miguel tore through Y/N's mask, exposing his one eye and leaving a deep gash across his cheek.
Y/N cried out in pain as blood trickled down his face, his vision swimming as he struggled to stay upright.
Gwen, Peter, and Anya arrived on the scene, their expressions a mixture of fear and concern as they witnessed the brutal attack.
Gwen especially began to think Miguel was going way too far.
Miguel's voice cut through the chaos, filled with contempt and anger. "Stop pretending you know what you're doing!" he spat, his eyes blazing with fury.
Miles, undeterred, retorted defiantly, "Oh, I've got a plan... I just haven't told you yet!"
Y/N couldn't help but offer a sarcastic remark through the pain. "Great plan," he muttered under his breath.
The train tracks started to ascend, causing Miguel to make a desperate attempt to grab Miles. Though unsuccessful, he managed to snatch the wristband from Miles, sending him glitching out of control. As chaos ensued, Y/N found himself once again pursued by the relentless Miguel O'Hara.

As Y/N climbed higher on the train, he could hear Miguel's taunts echoing through the cacophony of the chase. "Keep running, Y/N! See where that gets you!"
Y/N, undeterred, shot back, "It's working pretty well right now!"
The adrenaline-fueled pursuit continued as Y/N pushed himself to climb higher, his heart racing with each passing moment. Suddenly, a loudspeaker announcement cut through the chaos, declaring, "Departing for the Moon."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "That's not good."
He pressed on, hoping to find a solution before the train hurtled into unknown territory.
Namely, the Moon.
As Y/N ascended, the speed of the futuristic train became increasingly unnerving. The landscape outside blurred into streaks of lights, and the vertigo-inducing height made him realize the gravity of the situation. Attempting to calm himself, Y/N took a deep breath, but the relentless speed and adrenaline proved too much, causing him to stumble and tumble down the train cars.
Desperately, he reached out, grasping at anything to halt his descent. With a swift, precise motion, he sliced into the side of the train, the metal yielding to his sharp stingers. The sudden jolt arrested his fall, sending a shockwave of pain through his body, but he gritted his teeth and held on.
From his precarious position, Y/N scanned the train, his eyes widening in alarm as he spotted Miles ahead, engaged in a fierce struggle with Miguel. The two Spider-Men exchanged barbs even as they fought, their voices echoing through the train car.
"Are those claws? Are you sure you're even Spider-Man?" Miles quipped, his voice tinged with defiance.
"Are you? Who do you think you are really?" Miguel retorted, his tone laced with skepticism.
Miles responded with a resolute declaration: "My name is Miles Morales!" With that, he launched himself off the train, delivering a swift kick to Miguel before plummeting into the abyss below.
Meanwhile, Y/N hurried to join the fray, his mind racing with thoughts of strategy and survival. But as he reached Miles and Miguel, chaos erupted once more. Miguel's techno-webbing ensnared Miles, immobilizing him as he struggled against the restraints. With a determined effort, Miles managed to break free momentarily, delivering a well-aimed kick to Miguel's torso before being bound once more.
Y/N watched in horror as Miles was thrown from the train, hurtling towards a tunnel teeming with futuristic vehicles. The sight filled him with a gut-wrenching sense of dread, but amidst the chaos, a spark of clarity ignited within him.
He knew what he had to do.
As Y/N slowed himself down, the weight of responsibility settled heavily on his shoulders. The relentless pursuit of the Spider Society loomed large behind him, their numbers overwhelming. He knew he couldn't keep running forever, and Miguel's words echoed in his mind.
But then, just like that, an idea struck himβthe Go-Home Machine.
If they can distract the spiders, and Miguel long enough, they can use the machine to get back home.
It was a risky gambit, but desperate times called for desperate measures, right?
Y/N plunged into the tunnel after Miles and Miguel, the chaos of the speeding traffic engulfed him. Cars whizzed by in a blur of motion, the cacophony of horns and screeching tires filling the air. Desperately, he reached out, grappling with the shifting currents of the tunnel, his heart pounding in his chest.
Suddenly, Miguel was upon him, pinning Y/N to the side of a car with a fierce grip. Y/N squirmed and struggled against Miguel's vice-like hold, his frustration boiling over.
"You don't get it, you're an anomaly!" Miguel growled, his voice dripping with disdain.
"Get the hell off of me! Dick!" Y/N retorted, his words punctuated by the urgency of his struggle. With a burst of strength, he managed to shove Miguel away, but the reprieve was short-lived as a car slammed into Miguel, sending him tumbling into the darkness.
Y/N watched in disbelief as Miguel clung to the top of the car, his gaze filled with malice. The intensity of Miguel's stare sent a shiver down Y/N's spine, and he wasted no time in putting distance between them.
Rejoining Miles, who was deftly navigating the chaotic traffic, Y/N's sense of urgency heightened. But Miguel was hot on their heels, his anger fueling his pursuit.
"Everywhere you two go, you're an anomaly!" Miguel's voice echoed through the tunnel, a chilling reminder of the danger they faced.
Miles gritted his teeth, his determination unwavering. "Let. Me. Go. Home!" he declared, his words a defiant proclamation in the face of adversity.
As Miguel leaped forward, talons gleaming, Miles dodged and countered with a series of swift elbows. "Run, Y/N!" Miles urged, his voice filled with urgency. Hesitation flickered in Y/N's eyes, but with a final glance at Miles, he turned and sprinted back towards the safety of the moving trains.
As Y/N dashed through the labyrinthine tunnel, his shredded mask fluttered behind him, blood trickling down his face, blending with the sweat of exertion. Each heartbeat reverberated in his ears, the rhythmic thud echoing against the metal walls of the tunnel. With every step, his vision blurred, the relentless speed of the train exacerbating the disorientation.
Grimacing, Y/N wiped the blood from his face, his fingers coming away stained crimson. "How many of these clowns are there?" he muttered under his breath, his frustration mounting with each passing moment.
Just then, Jess, still seething over her wrecked motorcycle, caught up to him, her expression a mix of anger and annoyance. "I just had those tires replaced!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with indignation.
Y/N spared her a brief glance, his irritation palpable. "Sorry, not my problem," he retorted, his tone clipped as he deftly launched her off balance, buying himself a precious moment of reprieve.
But there was no time to dwell on the encounter as more spiders closed in on him, their relentless pursuit driving him forward. With a surge of adrenaline, Y/N pushed himself to the limit, his muscles burning with exertion as he continued to navigate the treacherous terrain of the tunnel.
As the cacophony of the chase intensified, Y/N's thoughts raced, his mind racing through a flurry of possibilities. With each passing moment, the gravity of their situation weighed heavily upon him, the urgency of their mission driving him forward despite the odds stacked against them.
As Y/N staggered up the train, his blurry vision making each step a struggle, he was suddenly jolted by the impact of Miles and Miguel crashing onto the train behind him.
Miguel's voice cut through the chaos, accusing Miles of being the original anomaly. "The spider that gave you powers wasn't supposed to bite you!" he exclaimed, his words causing Miles to glitch out in confusion.
Reacting instinctively, Y/N dropped down to help Miles, but before he could reach him, Miguel tackled him, pinning him harshly to the train's surface. Y/N struggled against Miguel's iron grip, his cries of pain echoing through the tunnel.
"And you!" Miguel's attention turned to Y/N, his voice dripping with malice. "The spider that bit you wasn't supposed to bite you! It wasn't from your dimension!"
Y/N's mind raced, trying to make sense of Miguel's words amidst the chaos of the situation. Before he could respond, Miguel delivered a brutal blow, sending waves of agony coursing through Y/N's battered body. The relentless assault continued, each punch and slash drawing fresh blood from Y/N's face.
Desperation clawed at Y/N's senses as he attempted to fight back, but Miguel's strength was overwhelming. He snatched Y/N's stingers, ripping them out of his wrists with savage force, eliciting a guttural cry of pain from Y/N.
Miles, enraged by the brutality unfolding before him, tried to intervene, but Miguel effortlessly pinned him down next to Y/N. The scene was chaotic, with Gwen, Anya, and Peter desperately trying to reason with Miguel.
"Miguel, go easy on him!" Gwen's voice cracked with emotion, tears streaming down her face as she pleaded with Miguel to stop.
"You're going to kill him!" Anya's voice was filled with urgency, her concern for Y/N's safety evident in her tone.
But Miguel was relentless, his fists raining down on Y/N with terrifying ferocity. Gwen, overcome with fear for Y/N's life, attempted to swing upwards and push Miguel off, but Jess held her back firmly, her concern for Gwen's safety outweighing her desire to intervene.
As Y/N's consciousness waned, the relentless assault from Miguel became a distant, muffled symphony of pain. Gwen, standing on the sidelines, was paralyzed by fear, her tears streaming down her face as she witnessed the brutality unfolding before her. Peter, fueled by a mix of frustration and desperation, yelled at Miguel to stop, his voice a futile plea in the chaos.
Anya, who had held some admiration for Miguel, began to see a side of him she hadn't expected. The ruthlessness, the violence β it was a departure from the mentor she thought she knew. The lines between ally and enemy blurred as Anya struggled to reconcile the actions of the man before her with the one she once trusted.
Amidst the turmoil, Y/N teetered on the edge of consciousness, catching fragments of Miguel's heated confrontation with Miles.
"There's a world out there with no Spider-Man to protect them because it bit you instead. You're not supposed to be Spider-Man!" Miguel's words cut through the chaos, and Y/N's fading consciousness absorbed the weight of the accusation.
Miles, defiant even in the face of Miguel's aggression, protested, "No, you're lying! I'm Spider-Man!" But Miguel, fueled by frustration and anger, cut through Miles' webs and grabbed him forcefully.
"You're a mistake! You're both mistakes!" Miguel declared, slamming Miles onto the side of the speeding train, his rage unyielding. He continued to lay bare the grim truth of their presence in this multiverse.
"If you hadn't been bit, your Peter Parker would've lived! If you two hadn't intervened, there would be a world with a Spider-Man! Instead, he died, saving the both of you," Miguel seethed, revealing the harsh reality of the consequences their presence had wrought upon other dimensions.
Peter, unable to stand idly by, implored Miguel to ease up. "Miguel, go easy on him!" he shouted, but the plea fell on deaf ears.
"You don't belong here. You never did," Miguel declared, his words echoing a sentiment that hung heavy in the air.
"And you never will."
Miles strained against Miguel's hold, his voice strained as he pleaded, "Let... me... go!" Gwen's voice joined the chorus of protest, urging Miguel to stop, while Peter interjected, "This isn't what we talked about!"
As the truth began to unravel, Miles's realization cut through the chaos like a knife. "You talked about this? You knew? You- you all knew?" he questioned, his disappointment palpable.
Y/N, barely conscious but still reeling from the revelation, echoed Miles's shock. "W-what? You knew this? And you said nothing?" His disbelief morphed into anger as he turned his accusing gaze towards Gwen. "Bullshit."
Anya, visibly shaken, attempted to explain. "W- we didn't know... how to tell you," she stammered, but Y/N's skepticism remained unyielding.
Gwen, caught in the crossfire, pleaded with Y/N to understand. "Y/N, please...."
Miles's disappointment hung heavy in the air as he connected the dots. "That's why you never came to see me," he concluded, feeling more betrayed than ever.
In the midst of the chaos, Y/N's senses sharpened, and he felt a strange sensation in his wrists. Bone-like stingers started to emerge, a startling revelation that filled him with a grim satisfaction.
His stingers can regrow.
"It's for your own good, both of you!" Gwen pleaded, trying to get them to understand.
"Don't tell me that!" Y/N snapped, his defiance burning brightly even in his weakened state.
Miles, held down by Miguel, refused to be treated like a child. "Who decides that?" he demanded, his frustration boiling over. "I'm not a kid!"
Miguel's condescending retort only fueled Miles's determination. "That's exactly what you are. You're just a kid who has no idea what he's doing!" Miguel's words cut deep, but Miles refused to back down.
Meanwhile, Y/N, his mind clouded with pain and anger, chuckled softly as he revealed their successful distraction. "Yeah, well... here's the thing, asshole. We did lure your entire clown patrol away from your little clubhouse."
Peter was impressed and a bit shocked, they really had a plan this whole time.
"I guess they did plan this out."
Y/N's smirk confirmed that their actions had indeed been intentional, and Miguel's blinded rage had played right into their hands.
Miles, absorbing energy from Miguel's suit to charge his Venom Strike, declared, "And... I'm about to do this." The revelation startled Miguel, who watched in terror as Miles unleashed the charged energy, enveloping Miguel's suit with a menacing amount of electricity.
Miles, asserting his independence, declared, "Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. Nah... I'm-a do my own thing." The charged Venom Strike crackled with energy as Miles prepared to unleash it on a terrified Miguel.
As Miles released the Venom Strike, Miguel screamed and fell into the air, his suit engulfed in electric turmoil.
Meanwhile, Y/N's stingers regrew, fueled by anger. He shot a web at Miguel, swiftly webbing up to him before delivering a powerful punch to his face, stinger first, leaving a prominent scar on Miguel's eye.
Y/N's bitter words, "Fuck you, Miguel," echoed as he landed back on the train, watching Miguel tumble downward, a visual manifestation of their triumph.
Gwen observed in astonishment, proud of the two Spider-People who had successfully escaped the clutches of the Spider Society.
As Miles looked tearfully at Anya, the girl he once had deep feelings for, he bid her goodbye. "Goodbye, Anya," he said tearfully, letting go of the train and sending himself into freefall. Turning invisible, he headed downward.
"Miles!" Anya cried, in a last attempt to get through to him.
Y/N's gaze turned to Gwen, his heart heavy with sorrow. After everything they had been through, he knew that their paths might never cross again.
But at the moment he didn't care, all he wanted was to save his Mom.
"Y/N, please don't leave," Gwen pleaded with Y/N, but he remained silent.
Pulling off his shredded mask, Y/N revealed the gruesome and bloody scar Miguel had inflicted upon him before letting it fly.
The sight of the scar weighed heavily on the three, filling them with remorse for the way things had turned out. Gwen's heart ached as she looked at the scar, feeling responsible for the pain Y/N had endured.
Y/N glanced back at Peter, Anya, and Gwen one last time before letting himself freefall off the train. Peter couldn't help but remark, "I taught him how to do that, so... I gotta be a pretty good mentor to pull that off."
π·οΈ
As Y/N caught up to Miles while falling, Miles mentioned the Go Home Machine, prompting Y/N's realization. "Remember that machine we saw?" Miles asked, his voice tinged with hope.
"I was hoping you'd say that," Y/N replied, a sense of urgency creeping into his tone.
However, amidst the rush and the chaos, a sudden realization struck Y/N. There was a problem with their plan β only one of them could go through the machine at a time.
"We won't both fit." He said. "One of us has to go first."
Miles absorbed this information, and a hint of concern crossed his face. "But we can find another way, right?"
Before Y/N could respond, his spider senses tingled, alerting him to danger. A glance back confirmed his fear β Miguel, with a suit crackling with electricity and a scar over his left eye, was descending after them, and he was angry.
More persistent than a crazy ex girlfriend.
Y/N knew that time was of the essence. "Miles, go. Find the machine and get home," he urged.
But Miles refused to go without his friend.
"What about you?" He questioned.
"I'll figure it out; I always do!" Y/N assured him with determination. "Good luck man."
And before Miles could question any further, Y/N shoved him downwards, and Miles turned invisible, barreling down towards the machine.
Suddenly, Miguel's iron grip closed around Y/N's arm, wrenching him forcefully from the freefall. The sudden jolt sent a shockwave of pain through Y/N's body as he found himself ensnared in Miguel's clutches, suspended in midair.
Miguel's anger blazed in his eyes as his grip tightened around Y/N, his voice dripping with fury. "You little punk! You're not going anywhere!"
Y/N, determined and resolute, dodged Miguel's incoming strike and retorted with a defiant tone, "You should've stayed down, Miguel!"
Their fight continued in the air, a fierce battle of wills and strength. Miguel's words cut deep as he taunted Y/N, questioning his worthiness as Spider-Man. "You don't belong, Y/N. You weren't meant for this. You're just a scared little boy pretending to be a hero."
Y/N's resolve only hardened in response to Miguel's taunts. "Do you ever shut the hell up?" he retorted, frustration seeping into his voice as he delivered a fierce blow to Miguel's abdomen.
Miguel persisted, insisting that Y/N needed to listen, but Y/N's patience had worn thin. "I already tried that!" he shot back, his voice tinged with anger and exhaustion.
As they swung through the city skyline, Y/N attempted to shake off Miguel's relentless pursuit, but Miguel was unrelenting. Suddenly, Miguel grabbed Y/N and delivered a devastating choke slam, slamming him into the side of a building with bone-jarring force.
Gasping for breath, Y/N managed to muster a retort amidst the chaos. "Good thing you didn't become a Dad," he quipped through gritted teeth, "because you're not good with kids."
Miguel's fury surged at the jab, and the two resumed their brutal exchange of blows, heedless of the imminent danger. Unaware of their trajectory, they hurtled towards a looming building, the impact sending shockwaves through the night as they crashed into its structure, buried under the debris of their collision.
As the dust settled and the chaos subsided, Y/N rose from the wreckage, his unmasked face hidden beneath the shadows of his hood. Despite the temporary reprieve, he knew that this shit was far from over.
All he needed to do was get home.
