Day 1/7
Time 4:55 pm
"My bad luck," Bennett muttered barely loud enough for me and Kaeya to hear while fumbling with the tie brown tie of his uniform." A lot of bad things have been happening . . . like the air conditioner was not working in class last week, the fire that happened in the science lab two days ago, the apple pie I bought today was expired, and what happened between you and Master Diluc , and today . . ."
"Bennett calm down," Kaeya ruffled the younger's hair. " What happened to me wasn't your fault."
The boy shook his head, staring down at his stained black shoes." But it was . . . and even yesterday . . . Barbara . . . she did not come to class ,because she got sick from helping at the hospital, " he swallowed. " It's getting worse, and I was thinking . . . It'd be best if I stay at the orphanage instead just for a few days?"
"Wait, what exactly happened to Kaeya?" I squeezed in to their conversation.
After All, this was my only chance to get info on him . Just purely professional stuff, business stuff, nothing else.
"There she is !" the ratchet voice echoed down the corridor, before Kaeya could even reply to the younger. " Get her!"
"Yea . . .I should go," I chuckled.
The guard had bore his eyes into my skull, his beer belly that bobbed up and down as he ran was threatening the blue buttons of his blue uniform, big black shoes pounding down against the shiney white floor of the corridor and golden whistle puckered between his aged lips. " Already?" Kaeya yanked me back just as I got ready to take off, hands taking hold of both shoulders fixing me in place. " But first . . . "
Lips brushed against mine, faintly, and he tasted. . . Divine. He looked even prettier up close more charming even. Stupid good looks. I tried pulling away subconsciously, but his hands kept me close as his lisp found their way back to mine. My mouth remained sealed shut dispite all temptations, my heart suck in my throat, and his eyes. . . Oh his eyes were like. . .
" Dad they're staring," Bennett tugged awkwardly at Kaeya's arm as I stood paralyzed like a possum playing dead. " Honestly, this is disgusting."
Kaeya's chuckled rumbled through his chest, before echoing through the whole building. He was so close. Close enough for me to count all the lashes that hung low over his eye, the curve of his nose, the perfect cut of his jawline that I itched to trace with my fingers, and down to his throat , and his chest . . . It was right in my face. " . . . Earth to our dear little boss ~" pain tingled through my cheeks as his fingers pinched at the squishy skin, stretching it out and looking down at me with the prettiest of smiles that was perhaps too cute to punch. " Someone was busy staring to listen to what the security has to say about her breaking in ~"
" Breaking in?" I repeated, still dazed and my focus locked on that pretty smile. " Oh."
" Dad how about you let her go first ?" Bennett sighed, perhaps realizing how distracted I was.
Distracted as in busy trying to figure which shade of blue would match his father's eyes. " Pretty, " I subconsciously spat out without a second thought.
At this rate I might not even need alcohol to speak random gibberish." As you can see. . . " The bluenette spoke up, turning his gaze away from and the the guard who had another two younger men right behind them. " My wifey here regrets her actions, but she's too busy to focus, you can't blame her she was so happy to finally meet Bennett, isn't that right sweetie ?"
His hands released my shoulders, and snaked around my waist, pulling his hips against minem " Right?" He repeated.
Wifey? Sweetie? " Uh yea. . . .Dear," I blurted out my ex's pet name like a fucking dumbass.
The word left a bitter taste to my tongue. " I just couldn't wait . . . I just was in a rush since I wanted to arrive before the students would finish their classes in a few minutes," my smile faltered, but upon looking between me and Kaeya the un-jolly fat man fumbled with his white moustache, before shooing us away with his hand while mumbling under his breath, " Newly Weds . . . "
"Where were we?" Kaeya grinned from ear to ear tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. " You know boss if you want to know me better there are better ways. . . "
"Don't you dare finish that sentence," I threatened, smacking my hand over his mouth.
" Ew, guys seriously? In my school?!" Bennett hurriedly pulled us apart. " If the other kids see it'll be humiliating!"
" A bit late you unlucky bitch!" The kids from before called out mockingly through the cracked doors leading to the recess area for students. " I got that on camera !"
" I got it on video !" A girl with blonde pigtails declared.
They ran off again just like that. A person might as well assume they were waiting for the right moment to capture Bennett's top ten embarrassing moments at this rate. " You . . . You shouldn't let them talk like that to you you know," I scratched the back of my head, not sure if I was really in the position to talk. " Those types of people won't stop chasing you around."
" Are you suggesting he beats them up?" Kaeya nudged my side. " Didn't take you for a rebel."
I pushed the man an arms length away. That is rate looking at him was going to drive me to the unholy things and I could feel it in my bones. . . And somewhere else, but anyway !
" I didn't suggest that, I just think Bennett. . . shouldn't just speak back not take all the mean stuff they say and do," I patted the kids back. " You know, be brave !"
Kaeya fell silent for a moment, hand covering the obvious smile on his mouth as he looked back and forth between me and Bennett. " My wifey such a great mom ~" he chuckled after a brief moment of stillness.
"IM NOT YOUR WIFEY!" I retorted helplessly at his obvious teasing.
"Yet," he corrected. " Not yet."
