Clint's POV

-No love...I can't go back to home now...Yeah some...complications-You told your wife by the phone- Don't worry we'll solve this...Just give me some time 'kay? Thanks...Love you.

You turned off the phone looking around, it was the day after Y/N freaked out, she discovered the truth leading to a crazy attack who even made you get frozen to a wall.

Today Tony would do a meeting, an urgent one, since Wanda and Bucky were agitated wanting to know what the hell just happened.

When you entered the room you could see your friends' faces, all serious, concerned, Natasha seemed to have her thoughts far away from that tower.

-Hey.-You approached.

She just then noticed you standing there, her face tired.

-Hey...Did you talk with Laura?-She asked.

-Yeah, she understood, she's taking care of the kids.

-That's good...

-What do you think...What do you think we're going to do now?-You asked looking to the roof.

Natasha stayed quiet for a minute, you didn't know if she was thinking or if she just didn't know the answer, probably both.

-I never thought I'd say this...-She started- But we...we are responsible for this. It wasn't Hydra, her mom...If we didn't lie...-She closed her eyes and sighed- I feel like shit.

-Me too.-You agreed nodding.

Y/N wasn't a bad person, she was kind, funny and dedicated, she was a good friend willing to risk her life for the others, you couldn't imagine how hard the reveal was for her, and you didn't blame her either, you didn't know how you'd react in her place.

Everybody seemed to have been broken, you could feel the weight of the blame on your shoulders like an anchor. Sam was next to Thor, having some sort of conversation, while Peter standed next to them, probably lost in what they were talking about. You didn't see Vision, from what you knew Wanda didn't have a good reaction and she hasn't even heard the full version of the story.

But from all of them the one in that room most broken was no one less then Steve. Man, he was a disaster. The same clothes from yesterday, the face tired, like he didn't sleep, standing relied on a wall even though it looked like at any moment he'd fall. Natasha told you that he only came back on the morning, soaked by the rain, like he stayed running during a storm.

The whole room turned to the door when they arrived. The three, Wanda, Bucky, and Vision, this last one trying to calm the two others, of course, didn't have a good effect on them.

-Where's Stark?-The winter soldier asked furious- What the fuck happened with Y/N?!

-Bucky calm down- Sam spoke going in his direction.

-Don't tell me to calm down damnit!-He avoided his arms.- Y/N just got out of this tower yesterday and you all know except me and Wanda!

-Uh...I don't know either- Peter standed his hand in the air like in class.

-And spider kid!-Bucky added.

-Tony will come soon so we can solve this situation.-Vision remained his politness.

-Y/N was suffering, I could feel it! What did you do to her??-Wanda shouted.

-Wanda darling-

-I want answers not excuses!-She yelled at her boyfriend.

The argunent, thankfully, was interrupted by the noise of the doors, revealing Tony and Pepper coming in, both tryung to remain that fancy and discrete posture, like in a negotiation even thought it was pointless. Pepper's hair was messed up, her clothes, always perfect aligned, seemed to be the first one she has found on the wardrobe, even the way she walked appeared ro be from another person, a depressed one.  Tony on the other hand had sunglasses on, his mouth just a thin straight line, walking and looking to the ground avoding everybody's faces.

-Finally!-Bucky exclaimed- Explain yourself Stark! Where is Y/N?

Tony got to the pannel, put his both arms resting on it, looked down and sighed. Pepper came by his side, put a hand on his shoulder and whispered something on his ear, wich made him have courage to face us.

-Most of you in this room know what happened.-He started- But Maximoff, Barnes and Parker don't. That's why I need to explain to you three.

-Why we didn't know about it?-Peter asked.

-Because...-Pepper came- What is going on is extremelt serious, and dangerous, involving a criminal organization called Hydra.

-What the fuck Hydra has to do with Y/N?-Bucky interjected

-Everything.-Nat spoke without looking at them.

-Y/N...There's no easy way to explain this so...-Tony took a deep breath- Y/N has special habilities, powers. Her parents were from Hydra, she was born as experiment on a serum on a project called "Project C".

The three stayed in schock for a moment. Looked at each other, trying to see if they understoof correctly.

-Y/N...didn't know about this?-Peter asked.

-No.-Stark answered- Actually I've brought her to this tower because of this. She has extremely important but at the same time dangerous powers. I needed to study it. And then...-He stopped at the middle of the sentence.

-Then what?-Wanda questioned.

-Then give her to S.H.I.E.L.D.-Bruce completed.

-...Give...?-Wanda repeated trying to believe the words.

Therr wasn't really an easy way to explain that, but really, use "give" was a bad word to use right?

-You wanted to give her away?!-Bucky started shouting again- Like...Like an object? What the fuck?!

-It's not like that.-Tony defended

-Of course it is! That's why she's pissed!

-You all knew this...?-Peter asked.- And you weren't thinking of telling her?

-I can't believe you just...lied to her like that.-Wands shaked her head.

-We thought that was the best to keep people safe.-Natasha spoke.

"Please don't put yourself through this Nat" you thought.

-YOU THOUGHT WRONG THEN!-Bucky was mad- I bet she didn't find out through you jerks.

-Bucky please- Sam tried.

-Don't come like an innocent because you aren't. None of you are.-He replied- That explains all the fucking therapies, the attacks she was suffering. You all are sick.

-I was trying to keep her away from Hydra.-Tony still insisted.

-YOU WERE SELFISH!-Barnes' voice echoed through the room.- You all were. Just thought about yourselves.

-Mr.Stark....She has a family...She was our friend...-Peter spoke disappointed.

I knew that behind those sunglasses Tony was having a breakdown, that kid was like a child to him, just like Y/N, he was suffering and we all knew that.

-You knew this...?-Wanda turned to Vision.

-...Yes.-The microwave answered with a sad tone.

-She...She is your friend Vision...I...I thought we didn't have secrets...

-Wanda please understand, you don't have a good history with-

-Witch Hydra? That's it? And that means I'm not someone of thrust?

-It's not-

-You just lied in front of me...-She couldn't look at his face- And I thoight you were different...

There was so many arguments in that room that it was even hard to keep it up with them.

-I knew it, I knew I couldn't trust you. I told her-Barnes continued yelling and pointing to Stark- But she only see good in people. Even though they don't fucking deserve it.

It's not even useful to describe Tony trying to speak, he would say one word and Bucky would cut him off.

The important thing was, when the soldier turned to the most quiet person in the room.

-What about you?-He spoke.- I trusted you with her Steve.

The captain was still there, on the wall, looking at an imaginary point across the room, not answering or saying a single word.

-You hid that from her. From me.-Barnes didn't give him a break.- That was your plan? Say you loved her and just throw it away by giving her like an object to S.H.I.E.L.D? What the fuck happened to the Steve I admired? To my real friend from Brooklyn?

Still not an answer.

-I wish this was a fucking joke now...-Bucky sniffed angry, passing a hand through his hair- If I knew this...I'm so disappointed in you. If I knew...I'd have never let her date you.

He started walking away and spoke at the end:

-Guess I was and am the only who really cared about her. Who loved her.

When the soldier was leaving Steve went after him, pulled his shoulder to his friend to turn back to him:

-Don't speak about what you don't know about.

-Guys...-Sam muttered.

-I know. I know that she's now in danger and it' your fault. You just used her.

-I never used her for that. I love Y/N-

Barnes didn't think twice and punched Steve on the face. The cap's lip started bleeding, but his eyes continued fiercely at his friend.

-You don't know how long I wanted to do that.-Bucky spoke, good thing he hit Steve with his normal arm, imahine if it was with the iron one, damn.

-Go ahead.-Steve turned to him again- Do what you want. Release it.

Bucky punched him again, you and Sam went after them, trying to apart the fight.

-That's your support Bucky? Huh? You said you were fine with us!-Steve shouted.

-FINE UNTIL YOU WERE AN ASSHOLE!

-COME GET ME THEN! GO AHEAD!

-Woah woah no one's going to fight here!-You and Sam put yourself between them- Stop you both!

Of course, it was not a good idea to stay between two super soldier who had twice the strentgh ypu and falcon had, but their moral code wouldn't let them hurt you...right?

-Stop being childish-Natasha spoke- Do you think Y/N would want this?

Wise words Nat. Damn wise. They both thought for a minute, then parted ways. "Phew, I didn't want to die by 2 super soldiers today" you said inside your mind.

-And where is Y/N now?-Thor goy back to the important matter.

-I still don't know. She took the tracking chip so I can't know her location.-Tony answered.

-Tracking chip? You put a chip on her?!-Wanda reacted.

"Shit not again" you thought while Vision tried to calm her but she just pushed him away.

-We need to find her before Hydra does.-Bruce stated- They might want to use her abilities to something...Brutal.

-Well I hope she's far from here. As long as she's safe from you all.-Wanda said.- I had enough of this.

She walked away, opening the doors with a gesture of her hands using her powers.

-Tony do you have any plans?-Natasha asked.

-...No.-He answered looking down.

-I'm out of here. Jerks.-Bucky left stepping angry on the ground, givung Steve a mad glance before passing through the doors.

-Kid...-Tony saw Peter's expression.

Peter probably didn't know what to do, he knew what was happening was wrong, but at the same time had that dilemma of admiring Stark.

The boy looked around, hoping that someone could give him the right answer, then turned to his mentor:

-Are you...going to help her? Like, really help? Without S.H.I.E.L.D-He had an hesitating voice.

-That's all I want to do kid.-Stark answered.

Peter nodded and forced a smile to stay positive.

No one knew what to say next, Tony called it a day and left with Pepper, while others did other things.

-What were you thinking?!-Natasha called Steve out.

He didn't answer, tried to clean the blood on his mouth with his bare hands, relied again on the wall, starong to the nothing again.

-Steve what the fuck!-Natasha pushed him.- You can't just fight with Barnes, you two are friends!

-Maybe you could talk with him later, try to solve this.-You suggested.

-No.-Steve answered.

-What?

-I already know what he thinks. And somehow he's right. I was a jerk. It's my fault Y/N's not here now.

-Shit Steve is everyone's fault.

-We are going to find her.-Natasha spoke confidently- But until then, don't break your friendship with Barnes. Y/N wouldn't want that.

-We need to be together in this.

-As you said-Steve spoke - Y/N's not here.-And he just left, turning his back yo both of you.

-I can't believe him.-Natasha wanted to punch the wall but you stopped her before she could break her fist.- The last thing we need now is a civil war in here...

-I know...-You sighed.-Well at least you've got me.

-You're gonna sing "You've got a friend in me too?"-She joked.

-Well, I know all the lyrics, my kids love Toy Story.-You both laughed.

She mouthed a "thank you" and you juat nodded, with all the chaos inside thst tour youbl still had hope things would turn out fine, you had to.
