-No, we're just going out sometimes.-You answered.

-Hooking up with a guy you barely now? I don't know if I should be proud or worried.-She joked and you gave her a light push.

You and Wanda were walking through the hallways of the Tower, you were updating her about the past few days with Vincent.

She listened everything, reacting with "wow" and "no way" as you commented about how he was. And she was right, Vincent seemed too good to be true, sometimes you even thought you were dreaming.

It's not that he's the perfect boyfriend or the love of your life, no, in that part he'd never even reach Bucky's level, but he knew how to set a romantic climax between you both.

Vincent was a hot, fierce and stubborn guy, and even though he worked in an office he bad the body of an athlete. And acted in bed with the strength of one too.

Of course you didn't tell all the sordid details, but from what you said, Wanda made her won conclusions about it.

-I saw a movie once...He reminds me of a character...What is it?-She looked at the roof ltrying to remember it - Oh! I know-She turned to you- That CEO, Christian Grey!

-That's from Fifty Shades of Grey Wanda!-You gasped.- I can't believe you watched that.

-I watch any type of stuff. -She laughed.

-But seriously now-She said- You don't know anything about him?

I know his name- You started and she started counting- His job, he said he's from, London and...-You realized you didn't know anything else- I think he's single...? He's not married, I didn't see a ring.

-I can't believe that YOU, like YOU, the most worried person on earth, is dating a stranger.-She stated.

-We are not dating, we are just casually hanging out.-You teased.

-Oh My God, who are you and what have you done with my friend?-You both chuckled.

You two arrived at the Avengers' floor where you were gonna drop her and get back to the office.

You looked at those doors nostalgic. Wanda noticed and tried to distract you.

-Well Mrs.Grey see you later, and please take care. Don't get kidnapped by a director of Marketing.-She winked and you laughed, but the smile disappeared as you met eyes with someone.

The someone was Steve.

He was there, in the sallon, and since the doors were opened he could see you both at the entrance.

He had a different type of glance at you, he didn't seem like the usual "i'm ignoring you" , he had seemed more of a surprise visual, and, if you dare to say "i miss you".

But those were all theories of your mind based on a 5 seconds glance, wich quickly disappeared as he walked away pretending nothing happened.

But you didn't want to care about that. Who cares anyway?

You did.

You cared.

And that's the worst part of it.

You were sitting at your table like usual in lunch, when, a hand touched your shoulder. You reminded of someone who always did that, you turned excited and expectant, but it wasn't really what you imagined. Instead of Steve, was Vincent.

It's not that he's a bad surprise, you didn't mean that, but, you thought that maybe, after finally looking at your face after weeks, Steve would finally try to talk with you.

-Oh, Hi Vincent-You tried to make your voice not disappointed.

You stared at your friends at the table and the reactions were truly incredible, like memes of celebrities in the Oscar.

Wanda had that a smile on her face, like "ooh so that's Mr.Grey!" And just wih her eyes you knew she was teasing you.

Vision on the other hand acted neutral, he just stared at the man, waiting for when he'd stand his hand and shake it. But at the same time he seemed to analyze him too.

But I think the most schocking (and maybe heartbroken) reaction was Bucky's. He was in front of you, so he saw Vincent coming and putting the hand on your shoulder perfectly well. When you looked at your ex's reactio he had that confused and surprised pikachu face you knew very well.

-Uhm...Guys this is Vincent...-You tried to introduce them, as he and your friends greeted each other.

How should you introduce him? He wasn't your boyfriend. But he wasn't a friend either.

"He's a guy I have an affair with" that would be weird.

-So, I was going to ask if you were having plans later? -He asked that. In front of EVERYBODY.

You wanted to dig a hole and bury yourself into it, really, you felt your face burn in shame.

-Um...No...

-Good, I'll wait then, until later-He said and GAVE YOU A KISS ON THE CHEEK.

You really thought Bucky was going to throw himself at him and stab Vincent with his fork he was holding so tight in his hand.

The table turned into silence after the unexpectant guest left.

But then unfortunetly, someone broke it:.

-I've never seen him before. Is he your new boyfriend Y/N?-Vision asked casually, completely forgetting about Bucky. Wanda made an "O" with her mouth as he said that and hit him with her elbow.- Apologies...I didn't mean to...

-Yeah Y/N- Bucky finally said something- Who is he?

"I want to die." Was what passed in your head.

-He...Uh....-You stuttered and looked at Wanda asking for help.

-He's a guy Y/N is going out with. Not a boyfriend though.-She said.

TOO HONEST WANDA. TOO HONEST.

Bucky dropped his fork at the floor, his eyes were wide open but he tried to remain calm.

-Oh.-Was his reaction.

When Bucky says "oh" there's a whole meaning behind it, when you get to know him that well you can almost read his thought when he says that word.

The "oh" in that situation would mean "HE IS FUCKING WHAT?" Or "SO YOU CAN DATE THIS GUY AND NOT ME?" And maybe "IMMA KILL THAT PUNK"

But he was good at hiding that from the others, just saying those two letters. "Oh".

He grabbed his fork and after that didn't say anything about that subject.

Even though he seemed unhappy about it, he understood that it's okay for you to move on too.

And you were glad for that.

It's not your first time making out in a car, you did that with Eric before (in a car that he stole), and you did that in Bucky's bike once (don't ask me how). But that time you were in Vincent's car and wow, that was a really impressive and comfortable one.

After that you started chatting about random stuff. What you loved about that is that Vincent can turn any subject into something he know very well. He looked like a genious.

-So you're telling me that you had no idea that they would call you on stage?-He reacted as you told him the story about the Tech Conference.

-I didn't!-You chuckled.

-No way. Of course they would call you, the beautiful, charming and capable Tony Stark's assistant!

-You're just saying that to make me happy!-You exclaimed.

-It's not. You are smart.

-Ok and I'll believe that!-You said ironically.

-Wait-He said and opened the glove compartment and took a little sudoku book from it.- Let's test it then. How much time you can solve this-He opened the page, gave you te book and a pen.

-I'm not that good in this.-You chuckled.

-You can do this, come on-He set the timer. -And, GO!

You started looking at those tiny little squared, alternated with or without numbers, that wasn't a game someone could finish in couple of minutes, it was a game of patience and persistence.

You remembered the old ladies in the park chatting and doing one of these, sometiems they were on the same page for days and didn't finish the first row.

But you felt like your mind was getting clearer, like your instintics were more accurate, the numbers seemed to talk with you, as you knew exactly their combination and result in that tiny piece of paper.

-Done-You said and Vincent stopped the timer.

-Incredible-He whispered to himself.

-How did it go?

-See for yourself.-He showed the timer and you almost couldn't believe, there, in the screen were marked " 7.6 seconds"- I think that's a new world record.

-No way, I must've done everything wrong- You said going to the last page od the book at the answers. They were all correct.- Well, begginers luck.

-I think you are smart.-He stated putting the book back at where it was.-Why can't you believe in that?

-I've always been told I eas smart...But I don't think I'm all that.

-You are too modest. Maybe you should valorize yourself more.-He said without taking his eyes out of you.

-I valorize...I just don't want to be "conceited" you know.

-The conceited are the ones with most confidence and self control you know that? People just mistake it the concept of it.

He made a good point. Well believeing like that in yourself....That was sonething you never experienced before. Maybe that's what exactly what you were missing.

Sometimes change it's necessary.

The past few weeks with Vincent were simply exquisite, it was a total different experince you've never imagined. He was sophosticated and kind, but rough and savage at the same time.

You've never felt so valorized, seriously, he treated you like a queen, or better, a Goddess. He'd compliment your beauty, intelligence and strentgh.

Sometimes he'd comw with extreme hard puzzles, quizzes or games to test your capacity, you didn't understand why but you liked the challenge, speacially the result, you always rocked, getting perfect and impossible scores, and he would react impressed and proud at the same time.

People in the company wouldn't bother you, and if they did, you wouldn't even pay attention to them. Your self esteem was in the clouds.

You weren't sad about Tony not talking with you, actually, after your sudden change, he even tried to be more kind, but you were't caring about it at all.

And Steve? Puff. You forgot totally about his existence. And that was for good. Vincent even said "their loss". You deserved more.

Steve's POV

Y/N has been going out with a guy recently, You've never seen him before and you just didn't know, there's something fishy about him.

One day you asked Wanda about it, but she was pretty cold talking with you:

-Who is that man with Y/N?-You asked trying to don't seem bothered by it.

-A guy.-She gave this answer who didn't answer at all.

-And? Who is he? What is their relationship?

-Why do you care?-She looked at you irritated- So funny, if you're so interested why don't YOU ask her?

-Can't you just say to me?

She sighed, rolling her eyes.

-She's going out with him okay? His name is Vincent.

She was what? Going out? Y/N was interested in dating other guys after Bucky? No, Wanda said going out, maybe it wasn't that serious...But still. Not any guy should go out with her, was he a person of trust? Where is he from? His family? His job? His personality like?

You didn't like that idea.

She didn't even think about talking about that with you? Well maybe she did, but you had to ignore her...

-What is he like?-You asked.

-I don't know. He must be a good person, she's happy.-Wanda sajd.

-That's all you know about him??

-He works here in the tower, Marketing Director.

You didn't answer. Y/N wanted to go out with those people? Fancy guys never caught her eye.

-Who are you talking about?-Natasha passed by.

-That guy with Y/N.-You answered annoyed by the situation.

Wanda laughed loud, while you got slightly more mad.

-Steve why are you doing that face?

Bucky joined the converstaion:

-It does. You're doing it right now.

You standed about to leave.

-I'm not going to stay here and be offended.

-Well you deserve it.-Wanda said without looking at you.

She didn't answer, but you noticed a dark look at her. Why was she angry? Because of Y/N? You were indeed a jerk these days, but you had no choice but to do so.

You left the room without saying naything further, when you bumped into someone.

You looked to see her.

Y/N.

She didn't look at you in the eyes like she would. Something different filled the atmosphere, she looked more fierce, powerful in someway.

You never realized that until you spot her in front of you, the fact is that you missed her. A lot to honest. Her clumsy way to do things, her determination and persistence, her sweet way of taking care of others, her stunning presence who lighted the room when she entered.

Then you dared to say, breaking the rules:

-Hi.

Was all you could say. The brave Captain America, the hero from the war, Steve Rogers, was scared of her answer.

Sbd she didn't answer.

The silence took over and she just walked away like nothing happened.

And you know what? You deserved it.

The past few weeks you've been observing her new "partner", nad you didn't like anything about him. Hate is a strong word but you were close to it.

He had that "perfect man" appearence, being kind and polite to everybody, with classy movements and charming smiles he enchanted everybody in the place he was.

A weird thing that happened though was that he was hard to trace, like every time you tried to follow him, it was like he knew someone was behind and always finded a way to escape, you never reached him until his house, and you couldn't follow him when he was with Y/N, wich was almost all the time.

-Bro just stop with this-Sam said once.

-I'm keeping her safe. What if he has bad intentions?-You tries to justify your actions..

-It's nit like he knos about her special powers...The only thing they might do that it's "bad" are things couples do in bed.
