Hey guys! I've got to say, I've been waiting so long to write this chapter, probably one of my favorites so far! I hope you like it too!

You woke up with a jump out of your bed. You screamed to Sarah downstairs:

-SARAH COME HERE!-You were energetic and anxious, walking all over your apartment.

Sarah an into your room:

-Did you call me??-She asked anxious

-I need your help.

-With what?

-Tonight I have a date.

-Is it with Bucky????

You made silence to keep her curious.

-Y/N TELL ME

-Yes it is!

-AHHH!- She screamed jumping

-So, today, I want to wear something nice to work and then when I come back you'll help me pick something for the date.

-I'd love that!

-Great, now, for work, what should I wear?

-Ooh...Drive him insane!

-I can't believe you are just 10.

-I know, I know.-She said while picking something at your wardrobe- Here, try.

-Do you think I can wear this to work?-You asked while looking the tight dress in your body.

-Of course.

-I'll trust you then kid.-You grabbed your stuff- I need to go now. See you later.

-Okie dokie! Oh, and Y/N!

-Yeah?

-Try to act cool but not too excited about the date.

-Uhm...Alright. Bye!

You entered the limo and went to work.

-Good morning Mr.Stark- You said entering his office bringing some documents- We have a meeting with The Cultured Citizens today, so please be formal and...Are you okay sir?

He had one of his hands at his chin, his elbow on the desk, his hand covering his mouth, his eyes at you.

-Are you feeling well? Should I call a doctor?-You asked worried.

-No no! I-I just wanted to ask Pizza...-He tried to find the words- Why this...Outfit?

You looked at yourself and then at him.

-What do you mean?

-It's just very...-He tried to express himself- Open- He gesticulated to his chest.

-I don't think so.

-Don't you feel uncomfortable?

-Why should I?

-Because you are a woman.

You got annoyed.

-What do you mean by "I am a woman" Mr.Stark?

Tony got nervous, avoided your gaze and tried to talk but couldn't.

Then at the same time Steve walked into the room.

-Tony we need to talk about...-He stopped as he saw you, schocked, his eyes went up and down, his mouth opened a little- I...I mean...

-See what I'm talking about?-Tony answered quickly.

-Y/N it's cold today! Did you forget your coat?- Steve hushed, took his jacket, went behind you and put it onto you, you could feel his hot breath near your neck, it was fast, nervy.

-Gentlemen aren't dead after all.-You said trying to calm him, he gave an uneasy laugh.

It really was quite cold, but still, why that reaction? Was Tony right? Men will be men no matter what? Even Steve?

-I should give you two some privacy, Mr. Stark please don't forget about the meeting.-You said leaving.

-Alright, thanks Pizza, take care.

-Mr.Rogers your coat-

-No need, you can give it to me after work. And don't forget, Steve.-He interrupted you

-Ah yes, Steve, sorry.-You corrected yourself.-Thank you.

You left the room and the two men behind.

Steve's POV

Your heart was still racing, something you haven't felt in a while.

-Steve. Steve, Hey Steve!-Tony yelled to bring you back to reality.

-What?-You got back to reality.

-Have respect for my assistant.

-What?

-Don't come with this prep talk of "are you cold" take your hungry eyes off the girl, she felt bad.

-I-I, that wasn't my intetions.

-And I'll believe it was nothing, alright. Now- He changed the subject.- What did you want to talk?

-Natasha said that Y/N cancelled training today.

-She did what? Why?

-She said she had an appointment.

-She didn't tell me anything.

-Me neither. Natasha said it seemed important.

-And she just accepted?

-You know how she is, after what happened yesterday she's still worried about Y/N's strength.

-We should've talked about that when she was still here, damn Steve! I'll call her again to ask.

-No Tony, just leave her. She needs a pause sometimes.

He took his hands out of the intercom.

-Then follow her.

-What?-You gasped.

-I said follow her. Come on you do this everyday.

-But just until she arrives home.

-Exactly, today she will go out, it might be dangerous.

-Tony...

-Aren't you worried about her as well Rogers?

You kept in silence for a second thinking.

-Fine.

-Good.

-I'm going then.

-Have a good day.

You left and stopped at the hallway. "Follow her? Really? What if she discovers?" You tried to stay calm but the scenes of minutes ago came again in your mind. Her, standing there, in that stunning dress, her hair perfectly in place, her face with a smile on her lips as you arrived.

Putting the jacket on her was a torture and a blessing at the same time you could say. Your fingers barely touching her skin as you leaned and put the coat on her shoulders, you barely could breath straight as you saw her delicate nape exposed.

You tried to get those thoughts out of your head "that wasn't right" you continued "inappropriate Steve, inappropriate".

Y/N's POV

-Madam Hydra...-You pronounced out loud the research result.

You were still doing your search about Hydra, now, you found someone who was extremely powerful in that organizagion, you couldn't find much still, there were only rumours about it, and anonymous ones.

Your phone made a notification sound, Bucky has sent a message.

You picked up the phone smiling, you haven't seen him the whole day yet.

Bucky: plans for lunch break?

You: Not yet

Bucky: great

Bucky: see you later

You: see ya

You were still searching when Steve entered the room.

-Hey Y/N.

You quickly turned off the laptop and locked your documents in the drawer.

-S-Steve h-Hi.-You answered.

-I hope I didn't interrupt anything.-He replied still looking at your desk.

-Ha, no, just some stuff from work. Do you need something?

-I was wondering if you'd like to have lunch with me.

You looked at him perplexed.

-Just...you?

-Yeah, any problem with that?

-No it's just...-Bucky entered in your office.- I was going to lunch with Bucky.

-Steve? What are you doing here?-Bucky asked curious.

-Inviting Y/N to lunch.-He replied.

-Huh...

-Maybe we can all have lunch together then!-You tried to be polite.

-But-Bucky was about to complain.

-That's a great idea.-Steve smiled.

-Fine, I'll get a table at the cafeteria.- Bucky went to the corridor- Y/N you comin' or not?

-Yes I am!- You got out pf your desk and went with Bucky- Steve? Aren't you coming?

-Yes, just a second.-He replied and you went downstairs with Bucky.

-By the way...That dress...-Bucky tried to talk as you were at the hallway

-What?-You chuckled.

-You look too damn attractive. You know I'm a gentleman but it's hard to hold myself when you're like that- He joked.

-Really?-You held his hand and leaned yourself closee to his face.

He blushed and pushed you away.

-Stop testing me!-He ran and you laughed going after him.

Steve's POV

As you were alone you entered the office and started looking through Y/N's stuff, it wasn't honorable, you knew, but she seemed very suspicious when you arrived. You turned on the laptop, and, as Tony has made, the scan authorized you to see, all the avengers could look through her computer, even though she didn't know that.

With some struggle, since you weren't very good with technology, you've found a folder: "H. Research". You clicked it and almost had a heart-attack.

She was researching about Hydra all this time.

Y/N's POV

-There he is!-Bucky said as Steve arrived -We thought you weren't coming.

Steve sat in silence, his eyes kind of lost, and he had a serious face.

-Steve?-Bucky tried to talk to him.

He was still the same way.

-Steve- You said and he looked at you.- Is everything okay? You look a bit down.

-Oh, It was nothing.-He forced a smile- You two grabbed lunch for me, thanks.

He stare to eat and remained quiet. You were still worried though, he seemed kind of sad.

-So Y/N- He changed the subject suddenly- Natasha said you weren't coming to train today, why?

-She is not going because she is going in a d..OUCH!  -- You stepped on Bucky's foot.

-I have an appointment today. If I went to train I wouldn't arrive in time.-You said.

-Hm..-Steve nodded- What appointment?

-It's.....-You tried to come up with a good excuse- It's personal.

-Ouch, she doesn't trust you enough Steve.-Bucky teased.

-That's not it!

-It's okay Y/N, we really aren't that close.-Steve said coldly. You felt kind of hurt, offended maybe, if he didn't feel you are close, that means he didn't trust you either- But we have Bucky in common.

-Yeah you two love me- Bucky said while drinking a whole can of Coca Cola at once.

You didn't try to explain, if you did, things would get weird and you still couldn't tell the truth.

The lunch was pretty "exclusive", Bucky and Steve talked to each other most of the time, you just stayed there and sometimes agreed with something they said. It was strange, when you were alone with Bucky he would be talktive to you, well, in his own way, but when his friend was next, Steve would always avoid talking about you, they talked about old stuff, and when I say old it's 80 years ago, but for them it was just a couple of years ago. Everytime you tried to join the conversation Steve would change the subject, like on purpose, you felt excluded and annoyed.

You kept tapping your fingers at the table in an impatient and repeating process, absorving the sounds nearby.

-Do you remember that ball you dragged me to?-Steve reminisced.

-How could I forget?-Bucky smiled- You were so lost near those people.

-And what about you Bucky?-You tried to enter the conversation.

-Remeber Liz Daisy?-Steve interrupted you.

-Oh yeah, you saved me from that one!-Bucky laughed.

You then saw Steve looking at you, a kind of challenging and teasing look in his eyes, he smirked maliciously.

You've never seen him like that, was he angry? What was going on?

He turned to Bucky and they continued talking. You tried more 2 times to talk to them, still, Steve continued interrupting whenever you tried.

Your fingers got faster at the table, tapping on an incrdible rythm. You looked the people nearby having lunch, you could even hear some of their conversations, some of them seemed almost like thoughts actually:

"Yeah Mr.Stark... that dude had luck in his life"

"Did you see Romanoff and Banner? I think they have something happening"

"What about that new girl? Y/N i guess"

"She? Probably another affair of Stark, she won't last long"

You felt angry with the environment, frustrated with the conversation, disappointed with Steve. You felt your fingers burning.

You could hear the clock on the other side of the cafeteria "Tik tok, tik tok" and the birds singing perfectly outside the building (even though the walls were surrounded by glass). It seemed like you were just beside the lady in high heels walking in, making a loud sound walking, or near the guy who was taling a call distant from where you were, even though you could here clearly what the person on the other line was saying. You closed your eyes, the sounds, the feelings, you felt an explosion, a fire. Fragmented flashbacks came:

"You can't tell this to anyone, did you understand?" Your mom would say to a younger you.

"Mom...what is happening to me? I...I can hear...Everything"

"Pay attention Y/N, don't tell this to anyone besides me, what happened?"

"I heard the teacher saying clearly that Tom didn't go well on his test, but her mouth wasn't moving, like she didn't really speak at all"

"And what do you think it was?"

"I...I don't know"

"Your stupid. Still useless. Go to your room. NOW"

-Y/N- Bucky held your arm suddenly and brought you back to reality.

You looked in front of you, Steve was with his eyes stuck at the table, where you were tapping your fingers, his face in a mix of surprise and horror.

You looked at Bucky, who was staring at you worried, then you directioned your eyes to the table. You gasped.

Where you tapped your fingers on was now burned. The metal seemed to have melted, like someone burned it, making the exact wholes of the fingers you tapped before.

-What...-You whispered surprised.

-These tables...Haha- Steve started talking- They are very bad, I already said to Tony," hey Tony you should change this, they are like inflamable"

-Have this happened before?-Bucky asked still holding your arm.

-Yeah, all the time, he insists using those weird metals he finds, don't worry Y/N it wasn't your fault.

-Still, those marks...-You started.

-It was nothing- He looked at his phone- Your break is over, You should go to your office, don't worry about this.

-If you say so...

You headed to your office with Bucky.

Before you entered he held your hands.

-Hey, it wasn't your fault.-He said trying to calm you.

-That was so weird Bucky...

-Steve said that happens all the time. Let's trust him.

-Okay...

-See you later?- He said before leaving.

-Yeah.

He left and you stayed there, trying to don't overthink about the event.

Steve's POV

2 hours later.

You had informed Tony what happened, he said you two would discuss it tomorrow, and reminded you that you should follow Y/N after work.

"Did she get mad at me?" You kept thinking "I don't even know why I did that, it was childish" the thing is that you were angry at her, she was searching Hydra behind everyone's back, you felt betrayeld and disappointed, maybe you wanted revenge. And now regretted doing it.

You were with Bucky, Clint, Thor, Vision and Sam at the gym.

-Have you guys gone to a date before?-Bucky suddenly asked making everybody surprised.

-What do you mean? Of course!-Sam answered.

-Why the sudden question?-You asked.

-I was just...wondering, it's been some time I don't go to a date, and I don't know how you guys still do this at this crazy "present"-He spoke.

-The last time I went on a date...-Thor started to think- Quite long too, with a midgardian, she was stunning, had a long brown hair, her name was--

-I don't want to hear about your exes-Bucky interrupted.

-What do you want to know then?

-...How do you go on date nowadays?

You and Thor stayed in silence.

-Take her to a place she likes, and then BAM, you give her that kiss. Done.-Sam said with confidence.

-Or try doing something different, I took my wife to a place where you can shoot arrows when we were still dating, she loved it, and that's when I knew she was the one- Clint said giving a smile and you all laughed - Go on, laugh how much you want, but you are all still single, while I have a girl, thank you very much.

You stopped laughing, he was right.

-What if I don't know where she wants to go?-Bucky asked concerned.

-Then just improvise.-Sam spoke.

Bucky kept thinking for a while.

-Are you going on a date?-You asked.

-Me?- He looked around the room for a second- N-No.

-It looks like he is going-Thor continued.

-I'm not.

-By his body language- Vision who has been quiet all that time started talking- he seems nervous and apprehensive answering this question, his heart beat also increased, wich means he isn't honest with his answer.

-How do I turn him off?-Bucky asked annoyed.

-Who in earth would go in a date with you?- Sam teased him.

-She must want a free dinner and then leave him-Clint added.

They both laughed, Bucky got up and walked away.

-Bucky!-You went after him.

-Do you think he felt offended?-You heard Thor asking as you left the room.

-Bucky wait-You grabbed his arm.

-What Steve? Want to make fun of me too?-He asked angry.

-No, I'm just curious...You are really going on a date? With who?

-It's none of your bussiness.- He pulled his arm and left.

Y/N's POV

You found Steve at the hall, you gave him his coat.

-Thanks for lending it to me. Here.-You said coldly.

-It was nothing- He grabbed itand obsrrved the poliester fabric for a moment-Hm...Are you angry with me?

-Me? No. I'm not.

-That's not what it seems.

-Why exclude me?-You decided to be honest.

-What do you mean?

-At lunch today. I know what you did.

He looked at you for a moment.

-Sorry.

-Why did you do that Steve?

-I just-He looked away- I think you don't trust me.

-What?

-You didn't tell me why you are not coming to train today.

-That's not it. I didn't tell anyone because I don't want to. That doesn't mean anything. I trust you Steve.

-You do?

-Of course.

-Then why didn't you have lunch alone with me today?

You tried to find the right words.

-Bucky had already asked me to. I couldn't ditch him. Besides, I invited you to come, but you decided to be rude.

-I'm sorry.

-Why so mad about that?

He gave a half smile.

-Maybe I just wanted some time alone with you and talk.

-You what...?

-Have a good evening Y/N- He said and left.

You were now at home, Sarah came upstairs.

-So do you know where you're going?

-He didn't tell me, look.

You showed her your conversation with Bucky:

You: Bucky where are we going tonight?

Bucky:It's a secret

You: But what should I wear?

Bucky: Just be prepared to rock😎

Sarah stopped reading:

-Why the emoji? Who uses emojis like that?

-Don't even ask.-You answered.

-Alright...-She looked at the closet.-Rock... I think I know what you need.

You turned around spinning the skirt.

-I like this.

-Now the last detail.-She gave you a red lipstick- Put on.

You applied the lipstick and looked at the mirror, it was a fun, casual and sexy look.

-Girl if you don't turn into a stylist in the future I will fight with Manuel.-You said and she laughed.

You heard a motor growling downstairs. You looked through the window to see your date in his motorcycle waiting for you.

-That's my ride- you headed downstairs with Sarah- Thank you so much- You hugged her.

-It was nothing, just tell me everything later!-She said excited.

-Sure will. I'm going now...Where's Manuel?-You asked and Sarah pointed outside, he was outside interrogating Bucky- Oh God.

You went after them.

-I know you are a hero, but you need to know the limits. I want her back here. Safe.-He said serious to him.

-I will sir.- Bucky answered calmly.

-And watch out for your hands, she's a lady of respect.

-Wouldn't do anything she wouldn't want sir.

Manuel nodded but then looked confused.

-What do you mean she wouldn't want? Look here buddy nothing else then holding hands and--

-Manuel stop scaring him.-You interrupted.

-I'm not scaring anyone, just making sure he is a gentleman the whole night.

-That was way more than that and you know it.

-Maybe...But still, if you do anything that hurts her- He leaned onto Bucky- I might not have physical strength but I have contact with all the bakeries in NY, you'd have to go to another state to get a single piece bread E V E R Y D A Y.

-I'm sure that won't be necessary.-Bucky replied.

-Good.- Manuel standed normal again.-Don't forget, bring her at ten.

-I'm old enough to come home by myself Manuel, thank you.-You told him

-Still--

-I know you are worried but no curfew please- You hugged him - I will be back soon.

-Alright.

You said goodbye and went with Bucky on his bike.

-So...Where to?-You asked him.

-You'll see.-He replied smirking

Bucky stopped in front of an amusement park.

-That's so cool, I've never been to one of these.-You exclaimed.

-What do you mean you haven't?-Bucky questioned- Even I did, in an older version of course.

-My mother wouldn't let me. And I didn't want to come alone.

-What about Sarah? Didn't you bring her?

-Manuel did, but I was always busy.

-Delivering pizza?-He teased you

-Hey, it's an important task.- You pushed him with your elbow.

-By the way you really rocked this look- He winked at you.

-And look at you, got dressed for today.

He chuckled.

-Just grabbed the first thing I've found.

-Uhuh I'll pretend I believe that.

-Where is our first stop?-You asked excited.

He smirked.

-Alright, first I'll impress you with my incredible strength.

You both went to one of those machines where you smash with a hammer to win a prize. Bucky paid the staff, grabbed the hammer, took a deep breath and slammed the target.

It didn't go up.

-What the hell?-He asked surprised

You laughed.

-Don't laugh, this was supposed to go up.

-Too bad soldier, not this time.-You teased him

-This thing is manipulated...-He said.- One more try sir.- He requested and paid the guy again.

-Bucky it's not so important, don't waste your time.

-No, now they'll see.-He took impulse and BAM, hammered so hard that the glue who held the machine from working crashed, making the bell ring.

The staff looked surprised but still had to give him a prize.

-Choose one.-He said.

You looked around the plushies when you spotted a squid one. You had a headache and some flashs came to your head, the image of a squid, a skull:

"Hail! Hail...."

-Y/N?-Bucky said making you come back to yourself.

-Oh yeah sorry...-You looked around and saw a cat plushie- This one!- You pointed.

-The grumpy one?

-He's so cute.

-I really can't understand you...Alright the grumpy one.-He requested and the staff gave you the plushie.

-Ownn look, he's just like you.

-What? No.

-He is, you are so adorable together look!

-No we aren't.

-Stop lying you are basically twins.

-And you wanted this because of me?

-Everytime I'll look at him I'll remember you.

He gave a shy smile.

-Ok next stop, now without grumpy cats.

-Where General Bucky?- You made a continence.

-The carroussel! Follow me.

You both went to it. You sat at a pink unicorn.

-That's your horse?-He chuckled.

-Yes.

-You should choose a real one like- He pointed to his black furious aspect horse- This is a champion.

The ride started, spinning in circles, you felt like a child.

-You'll never reach me!- You exclamed.

-You bet- He got out of his horse and hopped onto yours, hugging you.-Gotcha.

-Can you do that? You are heavy.-You laughed.

-Very funny. Like I would fall- Just when he said those words he slipped and fell, you bursted laughing

You both got out of the carroussel.

-Roller coaster now!-You said excited.

-That thing?- He pointed scared.

-Come on, I've never went to one!

-Just for you.

You both sat at the bench side by side, buckled up, and the vehicle started moving.

It went slowly, going up, until it stopped at a higher point.

-This thing broke or AAAAAAAAAA- Bucky screamed as the train went down fast, doing spins.

-AHHHHH- You screamed too excited.

Then after some minutes it stopped and you got out.

-That was so scary haha-You walked with him.

-I'll never go on something like that ever again.

You laughed.

-Now that I like- He said going to a cotton candy cart and bringing two of desserts, handling one to you.- It's not a fancy dinner but...

You started eating, making all your face dirty because you've never tasted it before.

-What a mess- Bucky chuckled cleaning your cheek.

You almost didn't see the time fly.

-Last stop of the night.- He said as you were in front of the ferris wheel.

You entered the cabin, just the two of you.

You sat beside him, even though you could sit at the opposite ide.

The wheel started, slowly lifting you both, you could see the whole park better now, the view of the sparkling city at night.

You looked at the view impressed, quite nervous because of the height, but that passed when Bucky held your hand, he still didn't look at you, admiring the view. When you reached the top you said:

-I love this.

-I'm glad your first visit to an amusement park was good.

-Not just the amusement park.- You smiled- Remember what you said at Stark's party?

-The drinks were good?

-That too. But the company. Good company. That made that night special just like tonight.

He smiled, then got closer.

-Did I say that I loved your lipstick?

-You like red?-You chuckled

-Yeah, specially on your lips.-He leaned and kissed you.

You were surprised but then replied the kiss. His lips touching yours gently but passionated, he got apart for a second and smiled.

-Damn Y/N, you drive me crazy.-His boice sounded like a whisper.

-Is that good?-You asked shy.

-You tell me- He kissed you again, now stronger, his hand sliding through you back until it land tou your hips. It was a hot, hungry kiss, you had to take pauses to breathe, but Bucky would still come back. You felt chills as he passed his hand at your thighs, lifting you and placing you onto his lap.

You were with one of your hands in his hair, while the other placed at his strong and muscled chest. Bucky started giving hot kisses next to your ear, going down to your neck when the wheel suddenly stopped.

The ride was over and you had to get out, he looked at the window, the people on the line trying to look inside your cabin.

-Don't loook now but...There are at least 10 people looking at us.-He chuckled.

-Oh my God! -You got out of his lap and fastly got out of the ferris wheel ashamed, he followed you laughing.

Bucky brought you home, you got out of his bike, grabbed your cat plushie and was about to say goodbye.

-Thanks for the night, I really enjoyed it.-You said.

-Not more than me- He smirked.

-Then good night.

-Good night.

You turned to enter, but got back and gave him a quick kiss then aparted.

-Now I won't be able to sleep.-He smiled

-I'm so sorry!- You joked and chuckled.

-Good night Y/N.

-Good night Bucky.

You headed home, trying to calm your heart.
