background glow

i've turned the coloring back on, we're gonna need it for this one.

create a layer behind your model and set it to add. use an airbrush with big size and smaller opacity to go behind the model and around it. pick the color your color scheme has there and use the fully concentrated color if you know what i mean, without added white or black.
don't distribute the glow equally, think where your light wants to come from and concentrate the glow there.

now use the same colors but with a bit more white in it and add the glow closer to the head.

i like to add a quite subtle glow bc i mainly do the glow effect with the hair.

here's an example:

clipping mask

now we create a new layer on top of the fc, set it to add and use a clipping mask. same procedure as before: first go around the edges with just color, then with a smaller brush with color and added white to create bright edges.
go back into the back glow layer if needed.

final result:

that's it for the glow! of course the glow is nothing without the hair highlights, it just doesn't look finished, so that's what we're gonna do in the next chapter! very sexcy 😳
