I never wanted to be housing demigods.

Yet here I am I suppose. But hear me out. Please, I beg of you hear me out. First it starts with one and then one brings another and the two bring more and more. Except the first one was years before the second one came along. Hear me out will you. Don't exit this book! I'm looking at you! Yes, you.

Okay, first off it was already an atypical Saturday morning without demigods. And why was it an atypical Saturday morning for me? Well, I was invited to go to brunch with a bunch of classmates, and I never get invited to anything. Plus, Saturdays were my lounge aroubd in bed all day. But my plans were drastically cut short when a pop sounded from my living room. And in place were two people.

"Kara, what are you doing here? And who is that?" I pointed at the tall midnight haired boy stabding beside her.

My blonde co-worker looked up at me. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't important, [Y/N], but it's not safe at home. Anywhere at home." the girl looked at me with her big brown doe eyes.

I crossed my arms over my chest. "And who is your friend?"

"This is my brother. Well, half-brother Jungkook." I raised my eyes at her. "Zeus found out who I was. My parents...they didn't stick up for me. Only my brother. But someone else is after him." The side eye to her brother was savage. "We need a place to lay low."

"And why here? I have somewhere to be. Have you forgotten what I told you when I saw you on Wednesday?" Her eyes widened at my words.

"It's Saturday?" I nodded. "Already?" I nodded again. "No wonder you look nicer than usual." I sent her a look. "We can stay here and booby trap the apartment. I...I..." Her ears perked up. Oh no. I don't like where this is going. "What if we go with you? Marcus invited me to go too."

"No." The blonde started to protest against my strong refusal to have the two demigods trail behind me. "First  it's a brunch you ruin. Next, it's the sky is falling because you angered your great-grandfather or great-something-or-other. Get out."

"But you have to let us stay here. We have no where to go. Reason with her, Kookie." Kara whined as she looked at her brother.

The boy sighed, moved his midnight hair out of his charcoal eyes, and sighed. His sister must be really getting to him if he's sighing at her request. I mean, I understand. I cannot stand a roommate for six years that doesn't know how to get out of trouble on her-er-their own.

"Look, [Y/N]? It's [Y/N] right." He started.

"I don't have time for this. I'm already running late, and my Uber is here, so... make sure both of you are gone by the time I come back." I grabbed my purse and walked out of my one story home.

The way to the restaurant was calming. So was ordering drinks. So was talking with everyone. For five minutes. Kara had walked into the restaurant with her handsome brothet in tow. Marcus's eyes lit up when he saw her walk in. I rolled my eyes. She had never been this adamant about anything before. What spooked her this much? My eyes darted to the other girls to witness how they gave Kara's attractive brother, Jungkook the heart eyes. I rolled my eyes as Jungkook pulled the empty chair beside me to sit down.

"Hi, [Y/N]." he smiled at me.

I swear if I wasn't already sitting, I would be on the floor right now as the smile had turned me into putty. Some people-Kara-are so lucky they aren't affected by the attractiveness of pretty people. But it is greece, so what do I know? Andi glared at me. Or was it at the boy beside me? Who knows?

Kara looked at me before sitting down. Marcus was asking her questions about the man she came in with and practically drooling over her. Heart eyes as well. Simp. But I heard she had feelings for another demigod like her. Who that demigod was? I had no clue. I had never met another demigod... until today.

"I know you don't believe us," I looked over at the midnight haired boy with the charcoal eyes, "but we really need your help."

"I believe you. I believe you have powers. I believe you're her brother on one side. I believe, but I don't understand the situation. She kept skirting around the question earlier." I whispered.

Jungkook sighed. "Boreas found out about dad and khione's affair. Now great-granddad, granddad, and Uncle Zeus are furious. Storms are going to start." So Kara wants me to house Percy Jackson and Katara? Wonderful. Wait. He called Zeus Uncle... and who was granddad? Surely not Kronos right?

"You're her half-brother correct?" He nodded. "You share a dad right?" He nodded. "So you're trying to be a good big brother? Without the ordinary mythology undertones...of incest?" He gave me a disgusted look. That answered my question. "So both of you are in this mess!" Because you're her brother. The one who wants to protect her. Probably the only one. "But why did she say something about you being in trouble on a different topic?"

"I angered the princess of the stars by sleeping with her maid." he rubbed the back of his neck. "Andromeda was my sort of girlfriend. But there was nothing between us. It was just an arrangement between dad and the titaness of stars Asteria. She didn't understand it. Found out about our parentage and told an old friend who told Boreas who told...yeah." God politics are confusing. And he was a jerk for doing that to her regardless of the circumstances.

"That's rough, buddy. At least your first love didn't turn into the moon. ("No, but my first girlfriend was the demigod of the moon.") I'm going to pretend you didn't say that. You two still aren't going to be rooming with me. Just so you know." I said. No more demigods.

The waiter came to the table to deliver us our second round of drinks and take Kara and Jungkook's orders. Both of them ordered the alcohol package. Oh shit. I've seen Kara drunk. I wouldn't wanna be anyone here if she got there. The two demigod siblings seemed to leave me alone as they ate, drank, and conversed with the others. The girls seemed to hang onto Jungkook's every word, flirting and pushing for the move first. Except for three females... Kara, myself, and Andi. He seemed to have a way with the ladies. So it wasn't a surprise that when he got up from the table to use the restroom, Meghan got up for the same excuse. I rolled my eyes. Thank god that isn't me. In either role.

I got up to go grab another plate of food, and Kara followed soon after. Conversation with the sulking females who weren't lucky enough to go join Jungkook was a real hoot. Especially when I brought up threesomes. But Cassie was the first one to shove that option back down my throat. Forgot Cassie and Meghan were second cousins excuse me! And the other two followed her lead on everything. I tried to butt into the boys conversation, but they barely paid us attention.

And then I heard it. The thing that made me snap to action. And by action, I mean get away from here. Fast.

"That's my chicken, Granny!" Kara snapped at the reciever of her drunken state.

I found her with her fork in thr last piece of chicken breast as the grandmother tried to take it. I rolled my eyes. "Don't try to give it to the demon beside you." A demon isn't that far off from the Chihuahua in the old lady's purse.

"I just want the chicken!" the old lady's eyes turned red.

"I. Am. Not. A. Chicken. Lizard. Lady." Ice shot out of Kara's hands and threw the old lady's hands away from the chicken.

"Kara!" I shouted at her.

Kara's eyes looked over at the giant aquarium in the corner. She moved her hands and shot the water at the old lady pushing her to the wall with the force and pressure of the liquid. At this point of time, people were watching the spectacle. The chihuahua jumped out of the purse and transformed into a mobstrous creature with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and a tail of a diamondheaded serpent. Kara pushed me out of the way and pushed a table into a shield, concealing both of us. Kara's once stormy grey eyes were now one ice blue and the other a sea green.

Kara stood up and brought the water back to her, creating an octopus around ger, one hand keeping it steady around her as she walked to the monstrous creature while the other ready to strike with a tentacles. I don't think this is about chicken anymore. I peeked around the side of the table to take a look at the action. The chimera lunged at her, and the water tentacle sliced at one of the legs while another grabbed the tail and threw it over where the aquarium was. I guess it's a a terrarium now? People began to flee. I wonder why they didn't before. And it was a mad house.

I wanted to help Kara fight this monster and the woman who was hissing and lunging for her every time she stroke the hybrid thing. I should have taken a mythology course this year. I saw a chair and I ran from my hiding place, raised it above my head, screamed as I chargef at the monster, and smacked it over it's lion head. The chair broke into pieces, and the monster... well the monster turned and growled at me. It lunged at me, and I screamed as Kara shouted my name, ready for impact. Yet it never happened. Instead a crash was heard. I looked up to see Jung-kook standing over me and mess of water with the monster sleeping against the broken aquarium. How did he get the water?

"Meghan, take [Y/N] and get out of here." The girl nodded her head, and she grabbed my hand. And the two of us ran outside of the restaurant.

It was awhile just waiting for the two demigods to return from their fight. Meghan stood by me as did Marcus, Chad, and everyone else at the brunch. Except Andi who had decided to go home in the chaos. But we weren't allowed to leave as the authorities arrived as Kara and Jungkook left the restaurant. Jungkook was limping with help from his sister. The police and the ambulances wanted to talk to or attend to everyone involved. However after both looked after Jungkook, they all dispersed. Kara whispered something to our friends who home.

The demigods trudged up to me. "Can we go home now?"
