Jugyeong's truth had been revealed, although for the life of her Miyeon couldn't understand how people could be so cruel and shallow to do this to someone. Jugyeong had pushed Suho off of her and she ran, and sharing confused glances, Miyeon moved past the Lee boy and followed after her.
She had no idea where Jugyeong had gone, too many corridors and twists and turns to be able to find her quickly. "Hey - don't think you're going without me." Suho nudged her, both of them feeling similarly horrified at the entire situation.
"We need to find her.. and sorry - you looked a little shell-shocked, like you were going to stand there for a while." Miyeon replied, shrugging her shoulders as the pair of them continued, looking down corridors as they passed, having sped up to a run.
"Hwang Miyeon." Suho stopped her, head jerking back down a corridor they had just passed. A door was opened and people were gathered around it and trying to peer in. Nodding, Miyeon followed him down the corridor, shoes squeaking against the floor as they pushed past people.
Jugyeong had been grabbed by the school bullies, who were holding up wipes to her face to try and wipe it off. Eyes wide, Suho pushed one of them off of her, almost shaking with anger. "Get your hands off of her." He said, to who Miyeon had learnt to be the leader of the group.
The Im girl was clearly terrified by the entire thing, and with tears in her eyes she pushed past the other bullies in an attempt to get to the door. She didn't dare to look at Miyeon as she passed, but the look on Jugyeong's face suggested that she knew she was there.
Passing through the group of people gathered around the open door, Jugyeong disappeared again and the Hwang girl followed as a frantic Suho as he followed after her, although not at the same pace as before.
She really was just following to make sure that her friend was alright - in the physical sense. Emotionally was an entire other story and Miyeon knew that. Suho was certainly the best person for the job, but Miyeon didn't share his athletic abilities and had slowed to a walk.
"Hey! Han Seojun." Her voice brightened as she saw the boy and Chorong stood side by side, peering over the latter's phone.
"Miyeon - have you seen this?" Grabbing Chorong's phone off of his and ignoring the words of protest from his friend, Seojun pushed the screen up to Miyeon's nose. It was the same videos and photos that Semi had shown them a few nights before, but considering that they destroyed the phone, the both of them knew that somehow they had other versions.
"Yeah - that's why Jugyeong was running.. god I'm not fit enough for this." The girl tried to get her breath back. "Give me a moment and we'll go."
"Go?" Chorong asked, looking between the two.
"To Yongpa High." Seojun explained, instantly understanding what Miyeon was saying, evven though she was incredibly out of breath and leaning on his hair to stay upright. "But - you shouldn't go.." He turned to look at her.
"Don't start being all chivalrous now. I helped when Park Semi had them before.. kind of." Miyeon shrugged, standing upright. "It's either her or..." Eyeing Chorong, Miyeon pulled herself up onto her tiptoes and covered her mouth with her flattened palm. "Soojin." She finished, Seojun nodded and making sure she was steadily on the floor again, eyes flickering back to the video and feeling his heart pull at the sight.
"You're confusing me." Chorong whined, looking between the two. "And when did you too start dating?" He asked, reaching in his pocket and pulling out a bag of candy, seeing them freeze and stare back at him.
"We don't have time to go into this right now." Seojun grabbed the candy off of him and took several before handing it back. "We're not dating, and don't be too concerned if we don't show up until later."
And with that, the pair of them stalked off in the other direction. "How are you feeling my motorbike these days?" Seojun asked, leading the way and pulling Miyeon down an alleyway.
"Not too bad." She replied as she spotted the black motorcycle as Seojun pulled off a mass of blue material off of it, reaching into his bag pocket for the keys and handing her a helmet. "I'm wearing your coat by the way, didn't want to get cold and none of my others fit with this jumper."
"I noticed." Seojun told her as she swung her legs over the seat behind him in a motion that she had done far too many times before, ignoring the jump in his heart as her arms tightened around his waist. But he didn't let the feeling remain for too long, setting off just seconds later.
In comparison to Saebom High, Yongpa was quite an ugly school. Which was fitting considering the students within it. "You know where to find her?" Miyeon asked, having quite the hard time keeping up with Seojun's long-legged strides through the modern, high-ceilinged hallways, students in the blue uniform whispering about his appearance there.
"Of course I do." Seojun replied. "Besides the administration know we're here, so we'll find her any moment now." They continued up the stairs, almost bumping right into the girl.
"Han Seojun!" Park Semi was skipping across the floor, a sing-song tone to her voice. "I heard you asked for me.. and why is she here? Again. Do you not go anywhere apart?"
"Not in this situation, nope." Miyeon smiled, a sort of sickly-sweet grin that only portrayed hatred. "I think you'll know why we're here soon enough. Seojun?"
"I told you I won't stand still if you did this thing again." Tone flat and his expressions showing nothing but anger, Seojun continued.
"Oh-" Semi hasped, clapping her hands together. "And what exactly are you going to do to me?" She asked, not backing away as Seojun stepped towards her.
"Delete it while I'm being nice." Seojun replied, shaking his head when she asked what. "The video you showed me yesterday!"
"You uploaded that on our school community." Miyeon slinked forwards, pushing Seojun a little back as his shouts startled the others in the echoing landing. "Delete it."
"What?" For once in her life Semi didn't make a comment about Miyeon's presence. "Your school community? What are you talking about... someone uploaded that on your online school community?" She continued, laughter bubbling through her voice. "My gosh, that's unbelievable. You came here because of that?" She once again turned to Seojun. "Well, I'm sorry to tell you this, but it wasn't me."
"It wasn't you?" The Han boy asked, the girl in front of him confirming it.
"No it wasn't. Dumpling doesn't even go to our school. Why would I upload it on your online school community?" Semi continued, but Seojun still appeared to be suspicious of her.
"No one else would do that garbage but you." His signature glance to the side seemed to confirm for Semi that he was extremely angry, but the girl just scoffed and glanced down.
"That's not true." She replied. "How do you think I found out that Im Jugyeong was dumpling?" And that one sentence seemed to confirm exactly what Miyeon had feared.
Seojun looked towards her, question in his eyes. She nodded slightly, and with that the two of them twisted around and began to hurry back to Seojun's bike.
There were only two people that they knew could do something like that, and had such a grudge against Jugyeong to ruin her life like that. And if it wasn't Park Semi, then it was the last person that Miyeon hoped it would have been.
But sometimes what you hope is never what actually happens.
