In all serious, Miyeon had a busy morning ahead of her, and she soon left the dorm with the rest of the girls, leaving Seojun in her bed waiting to hear the door click close so that he could leave. Because there was no way that he could get back to sleep. Instead, he returned to the boys dorm as the elevator descended down to the ground floor and the girls climbed into the company-provided van, getting out of it some time later.
"Miyeon - you're the model here." Kai rather suddenly pointed out, situated in the centre of the group and bowing along with the rest of them as they passed the first few members of staff. "You know the whole process and everything, right?"
"It's been... three... four years since I last did a photoshoot?" Miyeon shook the thought of her last attempt from her mind and shrugged. "It's probably changed a lot since I last did one, but I know the basics."
"You all will be perfect." Maiya could already see the glimmer of worry in not only Kaien and Chanmi's eyes, but in the Hwang girl's as well. It made perfect sense - someone returning to an industry they used to thrive in after a break, and giving them the feeling that they might not be so good at it with the nore recent changes. "I guarantee it."
"Hm... then I trust you." Chanmi bowed at another person as she slipped past to catch up with Miyeon, leaving Kai at the back of the group and linking their arms. "I haven't ever done a photoshoot like this."
"Most I've done is had ID pictures taken. But they're completely different." Maiya smiled at someone, her eyes creasing just slightly, turning almost into crescent moons. "Look - Heekyung's here."
"Oh thank god." Kaien couldn't help expressing her relief. It seemed that Heekyung, whether official or not, had become their manager, at least for now. She always attended new schedules, organised almost everything for them, and was always somewhere nearby when they had meetings. Miyeon, who had known the oldest Im child since becoming friends with Jugyeong, was extremely happy with this arrangement.
Heekyung looked just as happy to see them and crossed the room in seconds. "When I heard from Jugyeong that you used to model I pulled a few strings -I believe you're familiar with Mr Moon?" The woman gestured to the photographer who was approaching. Mr Moon's eyes landed on Miyeon and lit up.
"Miyeon! Ma chérie, how are you these days!" Mr Moon approached and hugged her, smiling at the shock on her face. "It seems you've done very well for yourself, everyone at the agency was so proud when I told them."
Just for a moment, Heekyung looked panicked. "You told people?" She asked, a little louder than she intended to and turned her gaze downwards at the sudden attention, hand reaching to tuck her hair behind her ear, playing with the hoop in her ear.
"Ah, just a couple of my employees that have been there for years. I trust them to keep it a secret." Mr Moon shrugged, the rather flamboyant attitude having stuck to him all these years and copied into his movements. "I was so surprised, and so so happy!"
With that exclamation, he turned to the three other girls, eyes analysing their appearances, paying particular attention to their hair. "And you must be Chanmi, Kaien and Maiya." He shook their hands in turn. "You're all so pretty - it's going to be a pleasure to work with you all... but now you all need to get into hair and makeup if you please. Chanmi, I hear you're quite the fashion connoisseur, given your life of travel?"
"That would be correct." The Lee girl nodded her agreement as the four girls and Mr Moon walked towards a seperate room, Heekyung left talking to some other people. "Holy-" She clapped her hand over her mouth as they stepped into the room, her eyes landed upon racks upon racks of clothing.
"As my old modelling protégé Miyeon is one of my wonderful subjects today and I am the photographer for your very first photoshoot, and for your debut announcement no less, I decided to give your stylists a day off and let this photoshoot become one you will truly remember." At this point, Miyeon was resembling just how eccentric Mr Moon was.
"And.. what has this got to do with me?" Although her words could be interpreted as rather mean, Chanmi's look of utter confusion was enough to convince the most cynical of people that she was being anything but rude.
"Well, you know these girls a whole lot more then I.. or those silly stylists do." Mr Moon clapped his hands together, pulling the girl towards the nearest rack, the others watching as they slowly cottoned on to what Mr Moon was doing. "You will be styling them today - in something that suits them best. Keep in mind that whilst you have all the artistic freedom you want, they have to go together."
"What?" Chanmi whirled around to face Mr Moon as he headed back towards the door. "But I don't have the faintest idea where I should start? This is a bad idea I can't-"
"Well.. I kinda like this?" Kaien was reaching for a dark top, holding up off of the rack.
"There you go!" Mr Moon grinned. "There's your starting point. Just call for hair and makeup when your outfits have been picked out! And we need to start soon.."
He disappeared, pulling the door closed behind him.
"He's always been like that." Miyeon said wearily, leaning against one of the makeup chairs. "But.. you're okay doing this, right Chanmi? If not then I can speak to Heekyung and-"
"No, no." Chanmi quickly dismissed her, eyes set on the many racks, gaze flickering over particular garnments. "I think that I can do this.. you might have to help me a bit.. but I can do this."
"You've got it." Maiya stepped forward. "I say we should just start pulling things off of the racks that we like.. hope to find some correlation."
"Yeah.. I'll get started on that." Kaien nodded, the three stepping forward towards the clothes, beginning to pull hangers up and holding them against their torsos and admiring them in the mirror.
Miyeon had taken a particular interest in a white blouse style dress when she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket, a self-produced melody playing as her ringtone. Adding the dress to her pile, she hurried to pull her phone out of her pocket, examining the caller ID.
She hesitated just for a moment, offering a smile of absolutely no explanation to Chanmi as she passed, slipping out into the corridor before answering, sliding her finger along the bottom of the screen.
"Lee Suho, how are you?"
