     cecilia chapel was a quiet girl. she kept to herself, reading romance novels in the comfort of her home. even with a population of barely 3,000 in forks, washington, you'd probably never heard of her... only her story.

      it came in whispers: the story of a girl whose parents had been brutally attacked within the safety of their home... only for their daughter to find them. stories came and they went, but only cecilia would be the one unable to wash away the blood that stained her memory of them.

      she hated blood. the smell. the feeling of it dripping down the skin. the repercussions that came alongside it. hurt. pain. death... the doctor had called it hemophobia... the fear of blood. horror movies, vampires... you name it, and she hated it all.

      edward cullen, on the other hand, craved blood. he loved its rich colour. it's taste. he craved the way it felt to puncture the flesh. it was an inescapable, yet haunting, feeling. reminding him that he was no longer human... and hadn't been for over a century.

      cecilia chapel wanted to be normal, for just one peaceful moment. but, with the cullen's making forks their new home, her chance at a normal life seemed to be off of the table. their arrival sparked the return of whoever had killed her family ten years ago, and cecilia's brought back to the darkest parts of her past.

      everything was always connected, through vampires, werewolves, and that loss that she experienced once ten years ago, cecilia chapel would uncover the truth of it all...

# — SHEEEEES BAAAAACKKK. thank you to hazzawckd for a beautiful cover (which you will be able to find in the graphic gallery when i publish it) that she made me that single-handedly motivated me to bring this fic back. i have spent every day since seeing that cover to rework this fic. i have delved so deep into this fic that i have created a timeline for it, and have now also decided to include the werewolves into this story. speaking of werewolves, you might ask yourself 'is jacob black recast?' and your eyes are not deceiving you! anyways, the werewolves will not make their appearance until later in this fic.

# — some other things for new readers of this fic, or in case old readers forgot: #1: the cullens are NOT vegetarians. for the sake of this fic, and my baby cecilia, they will drink human blood. though, they still try to remain kinda humane thanks to carlisle. #2: the cullens WILL have their "powers". in the original i said they wouldn't, but they will in my reworked version. HOWEVER, alice's visions will be limited. i can't have her predicting my whole plot like pls. she can see when people change their course, but it is brief and requires deciphering. #3: vampires can be killed in other ways. they can still be killed the way they are in the books/films, but i have also decided to implement that they can be killed if their heart is pierced (by stake, etc.) for the sake of this story.

# — this fic will mostly be slow burn. unlike when edward and bella literally got married after hardly knowing edward, cecilia is more reserved. for quite some time, she will not know what the cullens are until the time is right. so be patient okay? she's not gonna be jumping that cold dick in a chapter. they're gonna love each other, they're gonna hate each other. i'm making this somewhat realistic. thank you.
