"You're being serious, a hundred percent?" Yeori's eyes were wide as she watched Jugyeong nod. Having arrived the school the next morning, contemplating telling Sooa about her run-in with Seojun the night before, when she heard about what had happened to Jugyeong on the bus. "The bastard was taking photos up your skirt?"
Looking inherently disgusted at the idea of it, Jugyeong nodded.
"Urgh." Yeori winced, fingers flexing. "Wait until I get my hands on that bastard."
"Soojin already did." Sooa reached forward, taking the girl's arm and settling it between her own. They continued to walk up the driveway towards school, arms linked. Sooa leaned forward, looking past Soojin and meeting Jugyeong's eyes. "Yeori has an aggressive streak. Personally, I think she got it from her ex-boyfriend, Seojun. It was rumoured he left school because he beat a student half to death, you know?"
"Seojun did not beat someone half to death." Yeori scoffed. She paused, clearing her throat. "Actually, last night I saw him-"
But then she was interrupted, the sound of a roaring motorbike all too familiar and students clearing out of the way to make a path for the approaching vehicle. The group of four girls came to a stop, Soojin's hand finding Yeori's shoulder and Sooa squeezing her hand as they saw the motorcycle came to a stop several feet in front of them. Even though the helmet, they knew who it was.
"Oh." Jugyeong's eyes slid over to the three best friends, almost feeling as though she was interrupting something incredibly important. Yet it seemed that, for Yeori at least, it was something trivial - she had seen him the night before after all - and she pulled away from their hands.
The bike came skidding to a halt, shouts and protests thrown at the rider after students having forced to jump out of his way to avoid a certain fate. There was no denying who he was; Yeori couldn't just pretend she couldn't remember exactly how Seojun looked on his bike, how many times that exact image had been waiting for her.
His hands reached for the helmet, pulling it off as he shook his hair into place. Suho was several paces in front of the group of girls and Taehoon, who had pulled them out of the way just as the bike approached.
Seojun dismounted the bike, right leg moving over the seat as he came to face the masses in front of him, eyes squinted in the sun. His gaze landed on the group in which Yeori was centered.
"So." Soojin swallowed, a glanced hazarded towards her friend. "Han Seojun is back. Did you say you saw him."
"Mhm." Yeori nodded, tight-lipped. "But.. but Jugyeong doesn't know who he is, right?"
Sooa instantly recognised the slight urgency in her tone as Yeori attempted to move the focus of conversation along. She nodded, turning to Jugyeong and holding her hands in a triangular shape. "Earth has the Bermuda Triange and space has the black hole, and our school has two boys who are like revolving doors without an exit. Once you go in, you can never get out."
"It's true." Yeori's nose wrinkled. "He won't leave me alone, even though we broke up months ago. Stupid motorcycle... ah, really?"
She looked towards Sooa again, who had whispered the end of her explanation to Jugyeong and had landed on something about choosing between Suho and Seojun. "It's a necessary analogy." Sooa replied. "Suho is cold and aloof, Seojun is rough and wild. The two hotties of Saebom."
"Who currently look like they're about to implode on each other." Yeori swallowed back her nerves and stepped forward. "I'll see you in class." She continued forward, swerving around other students and coming to stand in front of the two boys, who were currently standing in silence across from each other.
Coming to a stop, Yeori reached forward and flicked Seojun's forehead, forcing his gaze back to her. "You almost ran half the school over, idiot. Go and park your bike somewhere out of the way - and you." She turned to Suho, repeating the action. "If you take part in another fight again-"
"I'm not going to fight." Suho said coldly, but he didn't avert his gaze.
"Good, then we can walk to class together." Yeori swallowed back any hint at discomfort with walking along with the quiet boy and took his arm, pulling him away from the motorcycle. She paused, turning back to Seojun again. "Go on then - move it."
"Ah, so annoying." Seojun muttered, and still didn't go to move it, his eyes on the backs of the two retreating figures.
