Alpha Attack | Act 1
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃

BLAZE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE DID to deserve to constantly be in the presence of the world's most annoying person. He may have been a complete dick at times and didn't care much for people's feelings, but he wasn't a bully or anything. He could be very sweet to people when he wanted to be. Blaze was just honest and very straightforward forward which made him seem like a terrible person. So why must the gods punish him for no reason?

After all of the werewolf bullshit that had been occurring for the last few weeks, Blaze wanted one night of peace. Normalcy. But how could he have that when the thing that goes by Jackson Whittmore can't handle more than 5 minutes away from his girlfriend? He thought about just ditching them and going home. Perhaps join Scott and Stiles on whatever weird adventure they were probably on but changed his mind when he remembered he wanted peace and these two bring everything but that.

"Not this shit, again." Blaze groans as he glanced at Lydia and Jackson who were sitting in the front of her car, parked in front of the video games store, once again arguing over what movie to watch. Every day they were arguing over something new, and he was sick of it. He secretly hoped one day one of them would cheat on the other but even then, they'd probably still get back together.

"Hoosiers is not only the best basketball movie ever, it is the best sports movie ever made!" Jackson exclaimed as he gave Blaze a look. The last time Jackson joined them for one of their sleepovers, he of course wanted to watch this stupid movie. Why watch sports when you can play them?

"No." Blaze and Lydia said in unison.

"It's got Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper!" Jackson tried to persuade his girlfriend who didn't care.

"I have no idea who those people are, but our movie has Rachel McAdams, who is so much better than whoever those I'm sure 50-plus-year-old men are." Blaze gave him a fake smile.

God did he hate Jackass--Jackson.

"Lydia, I swear to God, you're gonna like it." Jackson turned to his girlfriend again after he glared at Blaze who gave him the finger.

"No." Lydia once again said as she applied some lipstick.

"I am not watching The Notebook again," Jackson said angrily. Every time he was over, that was all she ever wanted to watch, and he hated it.

"You weren't even invited so we generally don't care what you want and don't want to do." Blaze chimed as Jackson seethed in anger before looking at Lydia who didn't pay him any attention before storming out of the car and into the store to find The Notebook.

Blaze didn't even like The Notebook that much. The moment he found out the main girl was old, and, in a hospital, he figured it would be her story being explained hence the name. He thought it was a cute romance movie (despite him hating anything that involved romance) and the fact that it bothered Jackson, just made him like it more.

"Blaze, come take a picture with me," Lydia said holding her phone up as she started taking selfies of herself, making Blaze grin as he leaned forward between the seats and took at least 100 selfies together before the lights started to flicker on the store name which Lydia missed but Blaze didn't.

"Did you see that?" Blaze asked Lydia who raised an eyebrow at him, "See what?"

Blaze rolled down his window and looked at the store, where he noticed all of the lights were off making a gut feeling appear in his stomach. The store was always open so he didn't get why the lights were off, especially with customers inside.

Suddenly, a large black wolf jumped through the window making Lydia and Blaze scream in fear as they watched it run away so fast, they could barely make sense of what it was.

━━━

"I'm fine, Mom. Don't worry." Blaze sighed as he repeated the sentence for the third time. His parents had arrived as soon as they could once, they heard Blaze was involved in some sort of accident, which wasn't even true. All he did was witness a big alpha running around for whatever reason. No big deal, right? just a sudden common occurrence in this town.

"Maybe we should get him some therapy? This was a traumatic experience. He'll be the talk of the town, and not in a good way." Amelia whispered to her husband as Blaze scoffed as if he couldn't hear them.

"I don't need fucking therapy. I'm fine. Jackson was the one who got hurt, not me." Blaze rolled his eyes when he glanced over at Lydia who was sitting by the ambulance with Jackson who was throwing a tantrum because he wasn't getting his way.

How typical. He was rich, had loads of houses across the world because his parents are constantly traveling, and usually get what he wants because he was manipulative, but never would he be caught acting like that because he was getting told no.

I just know Lydia is fucking embarrassed as hell. Blaze mentally chuckled as he saw the way Lydia was avoiding looking at anyone.

"But you were right out front. Anything could have happened to you, Blaze." His father said as Blaze sighed, rubbing his face over his hands.

"But it didn't. I am fine, I'm alive. Can we please go home so I can sleep like a goddamn baby?" Blaze snapped angrily.

"Watch your tone, Blaze Anderson." Mom quietly hissed at him making Blaze close his eyes in frustration. All he wanted to do was go home and sleep all of this off, but of course, his parents had to be so difficult.

"Oh, whoa! Is that a dead body?" Everyone heard Stiles say, making them turn around to see a body being wheeled out into a stretcher.

Blaze gulped as he bit his lip and his eyes automatically glanced up at the roof, seeing a figure move out of the corner of his eye and relaxed when he sees it was Scott and Derek watching everything unfold.

His eyes caught Scott's whose eyes held nothing but worry, "Are you okay?" The werewolf mouthed to his friend who smiled tightly and nodded his head subtly so his parents wouldn't notice.

"Alright. Let's get out of here. I have to get up early tomorrow." His father sighed as Blaze got up and followed his parents to their car, not bothering to talk to anyone else.

━━━

Going to school was not how Blaze wanted to spend his day. After everything that happened last night, all he wanted to do was curl up in his bed and never leave it but of course, his parents thought otherwise.

"If you don't need therapy, then you don't need time off school."

He so desperately wanted to tell his parents off, but he knew it wouldn't matter in the end, so he just sucked it up and went anyways. Sure, he said he was fine but ever since last night, he's been feeling jumpy and on edge all day. It's not every day you witness a werewolf running around after it killed someone.

He's tried texting Lydia, but he only got what reminded him of a drunk text making him assume she was spending the day at home. Blaze saw a few kids look his way, rumors about him being at the store last night already surfaced making him annoyed but he ignored them as he walked to his locker.

Scott and Stiles have tried texting him, but he was also ignoring them. He wasn't in the mode to talk to anyone about last night and if they wanted to know, they could ask Jackson.

"Blaze!" He heard his name, making him turn his head to see Ryle walking over to him, holding a few books in his arms.

"Hey, Ryle." Despite wanting to currently run away from reality, he couldn't help the smile that form on his face, seeing Ryle.

"I didn't expect to see you at school today." Ryle furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. After he heard what happened last night, he assumed Blaze would be at home, drinking his problems away. It seemed like a Blaze thing to do.

"Well, when you have my parents..." Blaze trailed off making Ryle nod in understanding as he leaned against the lockers.

Blaze breathed out as his eyes roamed around the room, feeling his heart beating out of his chest as if something was going to jump out at him. He never had anxiety as a kid, he doesn't even know what the signs are but if it was whatever he was feeling right now, he wanted it to fuck off.

"Hey, are you okay?" Ryle placed a hand on his arm, making Blaze's eyes snap toward him before he stiffly nodded.

"Yeah. Just on edge, that's all." Blaze gave him a fake smile which Ryle saw right through.

"Blaze-" The Anderson boy cut him off before he could even finish what he was saying, "I'd said, I'm fine" Blaze snapped as he slammed his locker shut.

Breathing out, Blaze banged his head off his locker, feeling bad for snapping at the other boy who was only trying to help, "Sorry. I don't mean to"

"It's fine., Ryle reassured him with a small chuckle. He wasn't hurt or mad in the slightest. If he had experienced whatever he experienced last night that was traumatic and forced him  to go to school, he'd be pissed at every person who's look his way, "Do you want to ditch?"

"What?" Blaze asked moving to look at him with a slightly confused look on his face.

"Do you want to ditch with me for the rest of the day? You look like you could use it and that gives me an excuse to ditch it as well." Ryle gave him a small playful smirk, making Blaze bite his lip as he pondered his options.

"Fuck it. Let's go. Will your mom care? I don't want you getting in trouble or like grounded." Blaze asked as they started to walk towards the side doors of the school.

"Probably but whatever." Ryle shrugged. He didn't ditch often, and he wouldn't lie and say he wasn't worried about what his mom would say but it looked like Blaze needed space away from everyone and a friend at the same time, so he'd suffer the consequences.

"Give me your phone," Blaze said, making Ryle confused as they walked outside but gave him his phone anyways, unlocking the password for him.

"What are you doing?" Ryle asked ad he watched Blaze begin to call someone before putting it up to his ear.

"Hi, Miss. Thorn, it's Blaze Anderson, Ryle's friend." Blaze spoke into the phone making Ryle's eyes widen in disbelief.

"What are you going?" Ryle hissed at him as he tried to grab the phone, but Blaze moved away with a small smile, making Ryle annoyed.

"Oh, hello, Blaze. Why are you calling me from my son's phone?" Emily asked him in confusion.

"Well, after what happened last night-" Blaze went to say when Emily cut him off.

"Oh, that's right. Ryle mentioned you being at that store. Are you okay?" Emily asked in a motherly concern that made Blaze gulp. He couldn't remember the last time someone spoke to him in such a tone and sounded sincere, it almost made his words get caught in his throat.

"Yeah, I'm doing okay. I was just going to ditch school today. My parents think it's more important for me to go and I'm not feeling it, so Ryle was going to join me, being the darling, he is." Blaze cut himself off with a snicker as he saw the saw Ryle was giving him.

"But I don't want him getting in trouble for ditching with me just because I'm having a shit day. So, I'm just calling to see if you're cool with that?" Blaze asked amused.

"I cannot believe you right now," Ryle whispered in disbelief as he stood against Blaze's truck, eyeing the smirking boy in front of him.

"You called me, to ask for permission to allow my son to ditch school with you?" Emily said with a bewildered expression on her face.

"Yeah, pretty much. Is that okay? I mean, we're probably going to ditch anyways but like, if he's grounded then I can't see him, and he can't see me, and personally, I don't think he can go that long without seeing me." Blaze chuckled as Ryle kicked him.

"Fuck you, Blaze. You can't go that long without me, that's why you're calling her." Ryle scoffed as Emily couldn't help the smile grow on her face. She had heard all the giggling and hushed whispers through the phone, and she couldn't help but enjoy that her son had someone that made him happy, and she happened to like Blaze and knew he probably needed a friend at the moment.

"Well then. If he's going to do it anyway, I don't see why not. I'll call the school and say he went home sick." Emily chuckled as Blaze sent a grin to Ryle who rolled his eyes.

"Thanks, Miss. Thorn. Now I see, where Ryle gets his darling personality from-" Blaze was cut off by Ryle grabbing the phone from him, making him laugh.

"Give me the fucking phone-"

"Goodbye, boys." Emily shook her head as she hung up the phone, leaving them to spend the rest of the day together.

"I cannot believe you, right now." Ryle laughed as he shoved his phone into his pocket.

"Well now, you won't be in trouble. Come on." Blaze smiled as they got into the car, laughing as he saw the look Ryle was still giving him.

━━━

Blaze and Ryle sat at their usual spot on the cliff, his car was parked so the trunk was facing the cliff, and they sat inside with the pillows and blankets that Blaze always kept in his car—you never know when they're needed.

They had stopped at a bakery to grab bagels and coffee before they sat at the cliff in silence, talking about the most random things like a bunch of schoolgirls gossiping about boys.

"What's your favorite show?" Blaze asked him as Ryle rolled his eyes. They were once again playing the question game since they never get very far with the questions every time they played.

"I'm currently watching Hightown. I don't have a favorite." Ryle shrugged as Blaze snickered.

"Of course. The show with all the tits huh?" Blaze teased as Ryle chuckled and shoved him playfully.

"I had started to watch it for Riley Voelkel but yeah, that was a nice surprise too," Ryle smirked as they softly laughed.

"Have you ever been with a guy? I could've sworn you had a girlfriend last semester." Blaze asked out of curiosity as Ryle nodded.

"I go to the same club, you go to so of course, I have, and I did have a girlfriend, but not anymore." Ryle shrugged as Blaze was silent for a moment.

"Did her pussy look gross?" Blaze's question made Ryle choke on his coffee which he had just gotten a sip of before he started laughing.

"I'm sorry, what?" Ryle asked with a bewildered look on her face as Blaze shrugged completely serious about his question.

"Did her pussy look gross? I tried sleeping with a girl once and there was no way I was going near that raw meat-looking thing." Blaze shook his head as he grimaced making Ryle start laughing more than he's ever laughed in his 16 years of living.

"Holy shit. Raw meat?" Ryle started to laugh again as he wiped his tears appear.

"Yeah. That shit looks so disgusting, like actual raw meat. " Blaze shivered at the thought as Ryle continued to wheeze, leaning his hand on Blaze's shoulder for support.

"I've never heard anyone compare a pussy to that." Ryle laughed in amusement, "And no it's not because her pussy looked gross. I just wasn't feeling it. She was annoying and loved any attention from anyone which was even more annoying."

"Men are better anyways. Most of 'em, anyways." Blaze shrugged as he sent Ryle a smirk who chuckled and shook his head.

"Alright back to the game. Have you ever cried to a movie? And what movie was it?" Ryle smiled as he narrowed his eyes playfully at Blaze, daring him to lie.

"The Notebook. I watch it all the time with Lydia." Blaze shrugged not even ashamed to admit that he's cried to a romance movie before.

"Cute." Ryle smirked as Blaze leaned his head back against the car as he thought over his next question, "If you could visit one place in the world, where would it be?"

Ryle took a moment to think over this answer, before he turned his head to look at Blaze who was already staring at him, "I don't really have a specific place. I want to go everywhere."

"Where would you start?" Blaze asked softly. He too wanted to go everywhere but he never knew where he should start off or if that was ever going to be an option for him.

"Italy, England, Dubai, Japan. One of the hot spots and just flow from there, I guess." Ryle muttered as they got lost in each other's eyes. Blaze has never got so lost in something before. Even in a maze, he always found his way out but no matter how much he tried he couldn't seem to find his way out of his soft blue eyes that reminded him of the ocean. An endless swamp of water, nowhere to escape.

"You know. My favorite color is green like your eyes and yours is blue like mine." Ryle randomly said making Blaze's lips lift a tad. This boy was something.

"I know." Blaze nodded softly before he leaned closer to the boy who copied his movements before their lips met in the center. Their lips softly worked against each other. Both of them were tired and in a mood not to do much so they lazily made out in the back of Blaze's truck until they decided to go back to Ryle's house and day drink the rest of the day.

━━━

Emily walked into her house carrying a few grocery bags after getting off from work. She had called Ryle to help her, but he didn't answer, making her annoyed and wonder what he was doing. She just hoped it wasn't sex with Blaze in a car or something. She taught her son to have more self-respect than that.

"Cassie! Where's your brother? We have a parent-teacher conference tonight and it starts soon." Emily called into the click room where she knew her daughter was lounging around, watching tv.

"In his bedroom. He was sleeping when I got home with Rosie. His boyfriend or whatever is in there too." Cassie shrugged as she munched on some random snack.

"Really?" Emily muttered in interest. She had heard all about Blaze Anderson. She hated saying it, but she knew he was one of the boys who slept with every boy—them having partners and didn't care about him and she was worried about her son getting hurt but who was she to tell him who he could and could not date? If he got heartbroken because he decided to fall for the biggest fuck boy in town then that's his problem.

She checked the time and saw they had an hour and a half to go before they had to leave so she quickly put the groceries away before making her way to Ryle's room to wake up the boys.

"Ryle." Emily knocked and waited for a moment but rolled her eyes and just walked inside when she didn't hear an answer and paused at the sight in front of her.

Ryle sleeping on his side with his hair a mess and falling over his face while Blaze lay behind him, hair just as a mess if not more due to it being longer and curler, with his arm wrapped around Ryle's waist, holding his hand as they slept peacefully.

She almost cooed at the sight, so she quickly grabbed her phone and took a picture or two of them. Memories and pictures were always so important.

"Ryle. Come on, darling." Emily shook her son's shoulder, gently while also wondering how they could be sleeping for so long, but her thoughts were answered when she saw the empty liquor on the floor. Only they would day drink and then sleep for half the day. That's one way to deal with trauma, "Ryle! Blaze!"

Ryle shifted as he buried his face further into his pillow, drowning out his mother's voice as he tried to go back to sleep, "I don't think so. Parent-teacher conferences soon. Get up, sleep heads. I'll be back soon."

"Fuck." Ryle blinked his eyes open, rubbing his head as he leaned back only to freeze when he felt a body pressed up behind his making him finally realize that he was holding Blaze's hand before he moved it and the boy was cuddled up behind him.

He remembered coming back to his house, deciding to watch a movie and drink a bunch before passing out a little bit before his sister got home. Ryle was about to shake Blaze awake when he decided to leave him for a moment and just admired his face and how he looked so peaceful as he slept soundlessly, without the worry of his parents, or lacrosse.

Ryle had never thought that he'd be with Blaze Anderson, cuddling in bed together after spending the entire day with one another. He never thought of Blaze as anything more than a friend before—hell they were barely friends, just two people who hung out occasionally due to their mutual friends.

But thinking back on all the memories he'd made with Blaze since school started made him wish he had seen him before.

"Blaze." Ryle ignored the headache bouncing around in his head as he leaned on his elbows and gently shook Blaze who groaned softly after a few shakes.

"Let me sleep," Blaze muttered into the blankets making Ryle automatically smile. Hard to believe this 'cold-hearted' person could look so adorable.

"We have to get up. Parent-teacher conferences and shit." Ryle's words made Blaze freeze for a moment before he opens his eyes and looked up at him.

"What time is it?" Blaze asked seeing how dark the room was.

"5," Ryle said making Blaze groan and curse under his breath before he rubbed his eyes and sat up. He barely remembered falling asleep, but it was indeed one of the best sleeps he's ever gotten.

"My parents are going to have my head. Where's my phone?" Blaze wondered aloud as they looked around the floor before they saw it on Ryle's desk making Blaze walk over and grab it.

"Lovely. I should get home." Blaze closed his eyes and sighed at the thought of listening to his parents go off on him.

"Are you going to the conferences tonight?" Ryle asked as he laid back down, too tired to get up yet.

"Yeah, falling chemistry and math and besides my parents always go no matter what." Blaze rolled his eyes.

"Your chemistry seems good to me," Ryle smirked playfully as Blaze gave him a look before throwing a random shirt at him, making him laugh.

"What happened to my sweater," Blaze muttered as he put his shoes back on, wondering when he took them off.

"I don't know and I'm too tired to help look for it, just take that one, I don't care." Ryle yawned as he pointed at the sage green sweater, he had been wearing earlier that day.

"Ryle, Dad wants you to call him," Cassie said as she appeared at the door, making Ryle roll his eyes.

"I blocked his number, I can't." Ryle scoffed as Cassie huffed and cross her arms.

"Then unblock it. It won't kill you to have a 5-minute conversation with him." Cassie rolled her eyes as Blaze watched them. He was a nosebag when it came to other people's business, which made him a hypocrite as he hated when people stuck their noses in his, but God didn't make everyone perfect now did he? Or at least that's what adults tell children to make them feel better about their pathetic self's.

"It wouldn't kill him to visit but he doesn't do that now does he? Get out and tell him, to fuck off for me." Ryle smiled as Cassie glared at him before storming away, leaving Ryle to sigh.

"Bad relationship with your father too?" Blaze asked, knowing the feeling.

"Yeah, I'm not a fan of his new mistress that's 10 years younger than him. I only talk to him I absolutely have to, which isn't often. He probably wants to talk to me about my grades and give his new side piece a chance, like usual." Ryle exclaimed as he sat up and started to get dressed.

"Dads are shit. fuck 'em all." They both laughed as they got up and went downstairs where Emily was making dinner.

"Finally, you boys are awake. Blaze, are you staying for dinner?" Emily asked the boy with a small smile.

"The only dinner he's getting is Ryle's ass," Cassie said as she scrolled through Netflix, leaving Ryle to glare at her and Blaze chuckled.

"Watch your mouth," Emily warned her making Cassie huff.

"Yeah, watch your mouth." Ryle mocked her with a cheeky smirk.

"You watch your mouth, I'm sure it won't be long before it ends up on Blaze's-" Cassie went to say when Emily cut her off.

"Cassie!" She snapped with wide eyes as Cassie giggled and shrugged.

"How old are you?" Blaze asked the young girl who amused him more than he'd like to admit.

"12. Tell me, Blaze, have you made your way into Ryle's porn book?" Cassie asked as Ryle throw a pillow at her, and Blaze laughed in amusement.

"Will you shut up? Like seriously" Ryle asked her in annoyance and embarrassment, "I don't even have a porn book."

"Really? I could have sworn you said something about making a copy of Regina Georgie's burn book for every person you sleep with. You called it the "Porn Book" Cassie shrugged.

"You are too young to be talking about this shit." Emily pointed at Cassie who rolled her eyes.

"And I was drunk when I said that, and you were watching Mean Girls. I didn't actually make it." Ryle crossed his arms as he gave Blaze a look for laughing.

"I was watching it! I came downstairs to find you with a bowl of popcorn, drunk as hell watching it. You were quoting the entire lesbian car part." Cassie exclaimed with wide eyes as Ryle looked flushed and Blaze and Emily laughed.

"Okay! Whatever. moving on." Ryle rolled his eyes as Blaze looked at Emily with a slight smile.

"I would stay but I'm sure my parents are already pissed off about me ditching school, so I should get going. Have you seen my car keys?" Blaze asked finally noticing that he didn't have them on him.

"Probably up Ryle's ass." Cassie couldn't help but add as she giggled at herself.

"Okay! Your keys are on the table by the door, and you are grounded." Emily told Cassie who gasped and grumbled.

"I'll walk you out," Ryle said throwing his sister one last glare who gave him the finger and smirk when she made sure her mother wasn't looking.

Blaze grabbed his keys as Ryle opened the door, letting the cold January chill hit their bodies, "Sorry about her. Has no filter and wants me to strangle her." Ryle said the last part loudly so Cassie could hear him.

"Like you want Blaze to strangle you." Cassie shot back making Ryle look at Blaze who was laughing as he wondered if he should kill his baby sister or not.

"Just leave. I'm done with her." Ryle said deadpanned as Blaze continued to chuckle.

"I'll see you later, Ryle. Thanks for today." Blaze said softly, as Ryle nodded as they stared at each for a moment only to be interrupted by Cassie's last comment.

"Are you going to kiss or what?" She yelled making Ryle send Blaze a sarcastic smile before he shut the door, leaving Blaze to chuckle as he begins to hear yelling.

'I'm going to fucking smash your head in."

"Mom!"

"Ryle! Cassie!"

━━━

𝑨𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆

Blaze definitely has PTSD from trying to sleep with a girl and Ryle definitely has murder tendencies for Cassie.

Before anyone comes with the "She is 12, and swearing" or whatever, just know I'm projecting my own relationships with my family onto the Thorns and I've been spitting out curse words since I was her age and I annoy the hell out of my siblings like that. (My family crazy tbh)

Emily is chill asf, she don't really care. And that's like my mom. So don't go complaining about her. (The Thorn family is better than y'all's family)

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!!
