The walls gave the people a century of peace and security. The terror of being at their mercy and the humiliation of being trapped became a distant memory. Until...
The battle for humanity's survival began the moment the Titans breached the wall. After innumerable casualties among soldiers and civilians alike, it was learned that some Titans were hiding among the humans.
Finally, five years after the first wall fell, humans succeeded in capturing one of these disguised Titans: Annie Leonhart.
Nevertheless... the next threat to humanity was already close at hand.
AFTER THE FIGHT WITH ANNIE came to an end, the crystal that she was in gets covered in a brown cloth and gets dragged away by the Military Police. Suddenly, a chunk of the wall falls down, gaining the attention of the soldiers as they looked up.
A Titan with no skin looked down at the Survey Corps and the Military Police. They stare at the Titan until it moves it's eye, showing signs of life.
"A Titan?!"
"In the wall?!"
"It can't be!"
Hange ran up to the wall. "Your orders, Section Commander?" Moblit questioned.
"Huh? What? Hold on!" They replied. "Was that there just by coincidence? Or does this mean...?"
Someone placed a hand on their shoulders, snapping them out of their thoughts.
"Pastor Nick?" Hange questioned as Pastor Nick tried to catch his breath.
"Whatever you do... you must keep that Titan out of the sunlight!" Pastor Nick informed as Hange stared at him in confusion.
"Huh?"
ยปยปโโโโ-ใโ ใโโโโ-ยซยซ
"For now, we've covered the wall Titan with sheets. We'll take more proper measures after sunset."
"I see." Erwin replied.
"What are we supposed to make of this, sir? I never imagined there were Titans in the walls..."
"No one did. There were only people who knew, and people who didn't." Erwin stated.
Back in Stohess District, Marlowe stares down at a corpse as he lowered his mask. "What's the deal?! We just fought a Titan here. Why are they keeping us in the dark?" He questioned.
Hitch lowered her mask as she walked next to him. "Business as usual. But what's the scummiest of all... is that there's no "official" reason why all these people died."
Marcus gave out a long sigh as he looked around. "You looked troubled." A female voice said. Marcus turned around to see Maya walking up to him.
"Maya? I thought Jules said not toโ"
"Just because that idiot doesn't want to keep in touch, doesn't mean we have to do the same."
"Right..."
"So? What's up?"
"I'm tired of seeing death everywhere." Marcus responded. "This is the inner wall, it's not supposed to happen here."
"I know what you mean." Maya agreed.
"Also... That girl, Annie Leonhart." Marcus began. "During her time in the Military Police, she kept staring at me like she wanted to apologize for something. It's driving me insane."
"I wouldn't worry too much. Who knows how long she'll be in that crystal." Maya told him. "About Julian... Are you going to confess?"
"What's the point? He doesn't want to talk to us anymore. Besides, have you seen the way he stares at Levi? After Eren's trial... I saw it. They both have some sort of feeling towards one another." Marcus answered. "At that moment, I knew I lost. I can't compete against Humanity's Strongest."
Maya just watched one of her best friend's in sadness, wishing she could do something to comfort him.
Back at the wall, Hange, Moblit and Pastor Nick were standing around with the other soldiers. Hange looked at the sheet that was covering the Titan's face before turning to Pastor Nick.
"Now then, it's time for you to talk. What is this Titan? What is it doing inside the wall? And... why did you people keep this a secret all this time?" They asked.
Pastor Nick doesn't respond but stands up. "I have work to do! My church and followers have been devastated! This is your fault! I will demand restitution! Now let me back down!" He demanded.
Hange glared at him. "Certainly." They responded before grabbing ahold of his shirt and hovers him over the wall. "Will straight down do?"
"Section Commander!" Moblit shouted.
"Stay back." Hange ordered before looking at Pastor Nick again. "Enough of this! Do you people know why we Scouts have shed so much blood?! To take back our freedom from the Titans! I was willing to sacrifice my own life for that cause! I'm not asking you to talk, I'm ordering you. Is that clear? And if you won't talk, I'll try the next person. Your measly life wouldn't make up for much, anyway!"
"Let... go of me!"
"Like this? Right now?"
"Yes!"
"Fine, then. Die."
"Section Commander!"
"Kill me and learn! We will fulfill our duty, without fail! So..." Pastor Nick paused for a moment as he extended both of his arms. "...let go of me this instant! Deliver me... O Lord..."
Hange then released him as they threw him on the ground before sitting down as they laughed. "Just kidding. I wasn't serious." They said as Pastor Nick whimpered. "Tell me, Pastor Nick... Are all the walls made of Titans?"
"Section Commander..." Moblit walked up to them.
"Whew, I forgot how this feels. I haven't felt this way since my first time outside the walls. Talk about terrifying..." Hange muttered.
Suddenly, the city bells start to ring as Hange widens their eyes.
Meanwhile, Julian stopped his horse with his squad right behind him and quickly got off.
"Section Commander!" Lyon called out.
Julian eventually ran into Levi. "Jude? Aren't you with the other 104th cadets?" He asked.
He then took notice that Julian was shaking uncontrollably, and the fact that he was covered in Titan blood from head to toe.
"L-Levi... Miche... He..." Julian stuttered before falling over. Levi was quick to react as he caught Julian before he landed on the ground.
"Jude... What the hell happened to you?" He wondered.

Connie and Sasha stare outside the windows, their heads were resting on the palm of their hands while Reiner and Bertholdt played a game of chess.
"My village isn't far south of here, you know..." Connie said.
"My hometown is close by, too..." Sasha added.
"Damn. Why can't I go visit? Maybe I'll sneak out at night." Connie said.
"They told me not to come back until I'm normal." Sasha stated.
Connie smirked. "They told me I was too puny to be a soldier." He said. "Was genius enough to be one, though. I was in our class' top ten. I'm gonna go make 'em eat their words."
"Connie. If you're serious, I'll help." Reiner spoke up.
"What? How come?" Connie asked as he looked towards him.
"Doesn't it seem strange? We're on standby in our plain clothes, and we're not allowed to train or wear our uniforms." Reiner stood up and walked to the window. "Even more suspicious... is that everyone else is fully armed. We're inside the wall, not on the front line. Who are we fighting?"
"Well, there are bears in the area." Connie concluded.
"Yeah. Bears." Sasha agreed.
"Guns are enough to handle bears." Reiner pointed out before sitting back down. "Besides, even Section Commander Julian is here. Wouldn't he be needed closer to the Commander?"
Sasha placed her head on the table but suddenly gasped as she shot up. "I hear thuds! They sound like footsteps!" She exclaimed, getting everyone's attention.
"Get serious, Sasha. If you are suggesting there are Titans here... that'd mean Wall Rose has fallen." Reiner informed.
Outside, Miche sniffed the air, alerting his squad members and Julian.
"Miche?" Nanaba questioned.
Back inside, Sasha throws her hands in the air in defense. "It's the truth! I really heard footsteps!" She shouted as Melody and Nanaba flew down to the window and opened it.
"Everyone here?" Melody asked.
"Melody-san?" Christa stood up in question.
"Multiple Titans, 500 meters to the south. They're coming right this way." Melody announced.
"There's no time for you to gear up. Take your horses and evacuate all nearby homes and settlements. Understood?" Nanaba added.
"From... the south?" Connie asked in shock.
"Has the wall been breached?!" Reiner questioned, looking at Bertholdt.
"Get going! Lunch will have to wait, I'm afraid!" Nanaba informed as her and Melody use their gear to fly off and join Miche and Julian on the roof.
"Miche." Nanaba greeted.
"Julian." Melody added.
"There are nine in that swarm up ahead." Miche informed.
"They've broken through Wall Rose." Nanaba said as she kneeled down. "We never managed to uncover the Titans' secrets or figure out what they are. And now the day has come. Humanity... has lost."
"No. Not yet." Miche said as he turned around. "Only when a person stops fighting do they lose. As long as we continue to fight, we are not beaten!"
Everyone was on their horses as they followed Miche and Julian. "As soon as the Titans reach the woods, we'll split into four teams of recruits and soldiers alike, and then simultaneously scatter in each direction! Avoid combat when possible and focus on getting the word out!" Miche ordered.
"Is anyone familiar with this region?!" Julian asked.
Sasha raised her hand. "M-Me! My town's north of here!" She replied. "I know the lay of the land well!"
"And... so does Connie!" Sasha added as she saw Connie spaced out. "Connie?!"
"My village... My village is to the south... where the Titans are coming from." Connie said. "I can take you to the nearby villages. After that... please let me visit mine."
"All right. You'll guide the southern team." Miche informed
"Yes, sir!" Connie said as Reiner galloped next to him.
"I'll come with you, Connie." Reiner told him.
"The south will be crawling with Titans. It'll be the most dangerous." Connie reminded him.
"So? I was going to help you sneak there anyway, remember?" Reiner said before looking over at Bertholdt. "You coming, Bertholdt?"
"Of course I'll come." Bertholdt answered.
The group continued riding along. "As you may know, today marks the new darkest day in humanity's history! If ever humankind needed to give its all, that time is now!" Nanaba shouted.
"The Titans have reached the woods!"
"Scatter! Ride as fast as you can!" Miche ordered.
Titans approached the woods before stopping. Suddenly, they charged right at the group as Miche furrowed his eyebrows together.
"What?! They all started sprinting!" Miche exclaimed.
"Whoa! They're going to catch up!" Connie said.
"Gelgar! Take charge of the southern team!" Miche shouted as he took off.
"Miche, I'll go with you! Lyon, you're in charge of the squad until I get back!" Julian yelled as he took off, following Miche.
"Sir?!" Gelgar said in confusion. "U-Understood."
"They're using themselves as bait?!"
"They won't survive! I'll help!"
"No! We can't spare anyone else! Have faith in them! Miche's skill is second only to Captain Levi! Not to mention Julian was mentored by Captain Levi back in his trainee days. They'll both make it back alive!" Gelgar told them.
"Miche, are you sure we'll be able to pull this off?" Julian asked.
"Of course."
Julian smirked. "You know, this is my first time teaming up with you. Try to keep up, old man!" He teased.
"Who are you calling old?!"
Miche and Julian ride off towards the Titans, Miche attached his ODM gear into one and flies up to kill it. Julian attaches his gear to the second one and sliced its nape as well. The two Titans fall down as Miche takes a deep breath.
Levi had entered Erwin's office. "Ugh. Those damn Titans never give us a break." He said.
"Can you go?" Erwin asked.
"Not like there's much choice." Levi replied.
"It was wise to have Section Commander Miche and Julian watch the 104th. I believe those two can handle the situation."
Levi slightly widened his eyes at this. "You sent Jude?" He questioned.
"Yes. He offered to help Miche in watching the 104th. I needed him in Stohess, so he and his squad went after." Erwin responded.
"Jude... You better be alive. Or I'm digging up your grave and kicking your ass myself." Levi thought.
Meanwhile, Miche and Julian landed on a roof. Miche shakes his head, clearing the thought of going back to the group out of his head. Both Miche and Julian look up and spotted an Abnormal Titan about 17 meters and was covered in fur. They looked at each other, thinking the same thing.
"I'm concerned about that Abnormal. It's not like the others, and it's completely ignoring Miche and I. I've never seen a Titan with fur either." Julian thinks to himself.
Julian's train of thought was interrupted by the sound of a neigh as Miche's horse ran towards him. As the horse is about to run past the hairy giant, it gets picked up, making Miche and Julian gasp.
"It went for the horse?!" They both thought, taking out their blades.
"You can't be serious!" Miche exclaimed.
The Titan looks over to them and throws the horse at them. Luckily, both Julian and Miche managed to dodge. Miche lost his balance and falls off the roof, a 3 meter Titan catches him and hovers him over his mouth as Miche screamed.
"Wait."
A shadow hovered over the both of them and crouched down to their level. The 3 meter Titan ignored orders as it takes a bite out of Miche's leg, the hairy giant looks at it confused.
"Huh? Didn't I just say to wait?" The Titan spoke as it reached out and crushed its head, causing Miche to fall onto the grass. He breaths heavily as the hairy giant looks at its hand. "Tell me, what is that weapon called?"
Miche's breath hitched as he looked up. "The thing on your waist that flies around." The Titan continued. Miche didn't answer as he was in too much shock. Julian was still sitting on the roof, watching the scene unfold, not knowing what to do.
"Did that Titan just talk?" Julian thought. "Never in my eleven years in the Survey Corps have I seen a Titan speak."
The Titan frowns at Miche's silence as it scratches its ear. "I'm certain we speak the same language. Perhaps you're simply too frightened. Oh, I see you use swords, too. I guess that means you know we reside in the nape. Ah, well, I'll just take it back with me."
The hairy Titan takes Miche's gear off of him as he covers his head in fear, the sound of his gear being unbuckled makes him gasp as the hairy Titan walks off.
Suddenly, Miche's expression changes. He lets out a scream as he clenched the last of his blade. "As long as we continue to fight... we are not beaten!" He thinks to himself.
The Titan stops walking as Miche stopped screaming. The Titan turned his head. "You can move now." He ordered as the Titans moved in on Miche, surrounding him.
"No! No!" Miche exclaimed, trying to run away but a Titan grabbed him. "Stop! Don't! No! No!"
"So you can speak." The hairy Titan commented. "I must say, what a clever idea." He walks off with Miche's gear in his hand as the Titans continued to tear at him.
Julian could only watch in horror as he covered his ears so he wouldn't hear Miche's screams. His body parts were being torn off one by one until eventually his head gets ripped off, ending his life.
"Miche!" Julian shouted in horror, shaking uncontrollably at what he just witnessed.
"I couldn't... I couldn't do anything. I just watched as Miche was ripped into pieces. I couldn't move." Julian thought, clenching his blades.
"Damn it!"
He jumped off the roof and sliced all of the Titans that had devoured Miche, slicing their arms, legs and beheading them before finally slicing their napes.
(A/N: I suck at describing things I'm sorry. Just think of what Levi did when Farlan and Isabel died. Julian did the same thing, but with less power).
Julian landed on the ground as Titan blood covered his uniform.
"Miche... I'm sorry." Julian mumbled before looking at the departing hairy giant.
"Damn you! I'll kill you!" Julian exclaimed. "Next time we meet, I'll kill you, you fucking bastard! You'll pay for letting Miche die! I swear it!"
"Section Commander!"
Julian looked up to see his squad coming up to him. "I got your horse. When it came up to me all of us were worried and headed here." Lyon informed before looking around. "Wait... Where's Miche?"
"Dead." Julian replied, shocking his squad. "He's dead and it's all that hairy bastards fault! And I guess it's my fault too. I was too frozen up to save him."
"Let's head back to the walls. I believe in Miche's squad. They can guard the 104th. They don't need us." Julian continued before hopping onto his horse and riding away with his squad behind him.

Julian groaned as he woke up. Levi was right next to him. He spotted his uniform jacket hanging on his chair, no longer having blood on it.
"Levi must've washed it." Julian thought. "How typical."
"You're awake. That's good." Levi spoke as Julian sat up. "You wanna tell me why you came up to me covered in blood from head to toe?"
"It wasn't mine."
"I figured."
"Miche is dead." Julian spoke up. "I watched him die. I couldn't move. I could've saved him and yet Iโ"
Levi interrupted his sentence by hugging him. "Levi's... hugging me?" Julian thinks to himself in shock before relaxing in his embrace. "His arms are really nice to be in, and he's really warm too."
"Secโ" Lyon barged into the room. "Oh... Oh! I'll come back later. Sorry for interrupting!"
"It's just a hug, Rider. Stop overreacting." Levi sighed before pulling away from Julian.
"Ly, what do you need?" Julian asked.
"Wanted to check on you for one, but I see that you're doing fine." Lyon responded, wiggling his eyebrows as Julian rolled his eyes. "And second, everyone's ready to rescue the 104th."
"Very well. Thanks for the information."
Lyon nodded before leaving the room. "Well, we shouldn't keep them waiting." Levi said. Julian hummed in agreement as he got ready. He buttoned up his black button up shirt and placed his uniform jacket back on.
Miche's death kept replying in his head as he clenched his jaw in anger.
"The next time I see that hairy bastard. I'm killing him. I'll make him pay 100 times over."

A/N: There's the first chapter of season two! Also, I originally wasn't going to have Julian join in watching the 104th, but I needed a reason for him to hate Zeke as it's important for seasons three and four. What's better than watching Miche die?
For real though, I forgot how gruesome Miche's death scene was. I'm sad now :(
Thanks for reading!
