It was now the day Gon fought against Hisoka, Valentine and Killua sat up in the crowd, Zeus perched upon the girl's shoulders as the three stared down at the arena with intense focus.

The stadium was packed and so was the lobby as excitement filled everyone at the fact that Gon was fighting against Hisoka.

Tension and excitement exploded throughout the air like a burst of emotion and hung there like a web, while a certain blonde was nervous about the outcome of this fight.

"Hello everyone, in the arena today, we have a match between Gon and Hisoka! The battle you've all been waiting for is about to begin and as you can see, the stands are packed! The fight hasn't even started and the tension in the air is palpable!"

Everyone shouted out for the battle to begin, while others questioned how much longer they had to wait and it was clear that they were growing impatient as their excitement skyrocketed.

Noticing her expression as he glanced at her from the corner of his eye, Killua turned towards Valentine and gently placed his hand on her shoulder, causing the blonde to turn her celestial eyes his way.

'Are you okay?',The silverette questioned, his voice low and his eyes shone with concern at the look on her face.

It was clear to Killua that this was beginning to bother Valentine and it wasn't just the way Zeus was nuzzling into her, giving gentle nibbles to her cheek and neck to distract her from the anxiety coursing through her veins, but it was also clear in her eyes.

Her eyes gave away exactly what she was feeling.

The mystifying gold was now a darkened rust and her pupils were enlarged with worry, her lips pulled into a frown of anxiety.

"I'm just.. worried",Valentine admitted, a frown tugging at her lips as her eyes tore away from his and she looked back towards the arena,"Gon knows what he's doing, I believe that, but.. Hisoka is on a whole other level completely. I get that he's been training for this but, Hisoka's been at this longer than he has and he knows how to play dirty. We both know that"

Eyes of the gods and eyes of the sea connected as one once more, their souls intertwining the longer they stared at each other and the two children didn't fully understand why they felt the way they did, but they knew that they felt this way for a reason.

They just had to find out what that reason was.

Getting where she was coming from, Killua let out a hum and reluctantly tore his gaze away from her's as he looked towards the arena once more.

They both knew that Hisoka liked to play dirty and he was definitely going to do the same here.

'We just have to believe that Gon has a plan, Val',Killua stated and turned his eyes back towards her,'He knows what he's doing'

Letting out a sigh, Valentine looked towards the arena and a worried look filled her eyes before she reluctantly nodded, sitting up straight which caused Zeus to shift on her shoulder, his wing hitting Killua in the face.

Valentine didn't know if it was intentional or not, but judging by the chirp-like laugh that was leaving her precious companion, it definitely was intentional.

A deadpanned look crossed the silverette's face as he stared at the hawk, who stared back him with laugh-like chirps tauntingly leaving his beak, and a glare settled on Killua's face.

An innocent look formed on the hawk's face as he stepped onto Valentine's outstretched hand and as she brought him to where she could see him, Zeus tilted his head and his large, obsidian eyes gently shone in the glare of the stadium's lights.

A small, confused chirp left Zeus's lips as he looked up at Valentine, his black eyes wide with confusion and the blonde's eyes softened as she gently smiled, reaching up to gently stroke his head.

"Aww, it's okay, Zeus",Valentine cooed, causing the hawk to gently rub his beak against her cheek with a low chirp,"You didn't mean it"

Raising her hand towards her shoulder, she felt as Zeus stepped back up and Valentine placed her hands in her lap, before she looked up at Killua with a gentle smile.

"Sorry about that, it was just an accident",Valentine stated.

With his eyes wide, Killua opened his mouth to argue, only to close it a second later at the gentle gleam in her eyes and a small sigh left his lips.

This bird was smart sometimes, playing his little "Valentine's innocent baby" act.

He knew exactly what he was doing.

'It's fine, Val',Killua stated, a forced smile on his lips.

Smiling back, Valentine turned back towards the arena and right as her back was turned, the two boys glared at one another and Zeus's feathers puffed up, a taunting chirp leaving his beak.

It felt as if lightning passed between the two as the tension filled the air and their glares drilled into one another, their eyes burning into each other's souls.

The lights immediately turned off and the crowd began to cheer as the stage lights turned on, smoke filling the air.

Gon was the first to arrive and his appearance was shortly followed by Hisoka.

A small grin formed on Valentine's face and she watched as her friend walked down the platform, a badass stride in his step.

While she knew that Hisoka most likely wouldn't kill him, there was still that possibility and it made a pit form at the bottom of her stomach.

'Begin!'

As those words left the referee's lips, Gon immediately took off towards Hisoka and threw a various combination of attacks; which consisted of punches and kicks, but Hisoka, however, dodged each attack; as suspected, and proved to Valentine that she was right.

He was way out of Gon's league, no offense to her friend, but Gon's didn't even scratch the surface compared to Hisoka.

The stadium was completely silent and a sinister aura washed over Valentine's body, a shiver passing through her muscles, her eyes sharp as she watched every move with a calculated gaze.

Everyone was silent with awe at how quick everything was moving; including the commenter, and Valentine's hand tightened around the arm of her seat, her eyes gleaming.

Everything was moving quickly, so quick that no one could see the moves they made.

'A clean hit: Hisoka, one point!'

Loud cheers and shouts echoed throughout the air and Valentine shook her head, her eyes fluttering shut for just a moment.

Their movements were pretty quick and she could barely keep up with them.

"That.. was an amazing exchange! So amazing that I could barely get a word in edgewise!"

Wiping his face, Gon had a scowl on his lips and Hisoka chuckled, a small smirk on his.

Suddenly, Gon sped forward once more and aimed a hit directly at Hisoka's face, causing the man's golden eyes to narrow as he smiled, holding up his hand.

But Gon's hit never landed, as he jumped from place to place, making blurred apparitions of himself and he was suddenly on the other side of the arena causing Valentine to sit up straight, a small smile on her lips.

Reaching down, Gon ripped up a tile from the floor and made it fly mid-air.

"There it is! Gon's stone flip!"

Racing forward, Gon jumped up and sent a harsh kick, making the large block of concrete shatter into little pieces which he used it to distract Hisoka from where he actually was.

Breaking apart each piece that flew his way; as the dust cleared, Hisoka noticed that the boy was no longer there and bumblebee yellow eyes quickly looked around, trying to locate the green-haired boy.

The clown realized just too late where he was and as Hisoka turned around, a powerful punch struck him across the face, drops of blood flew from his lips and dropped onto the floor of the arena.

He did it.

Bursting with excitement, Valentine jumped out of her seat and pumped her fist in the air with a small jump, a bubbly laugh leaving her lips.

"You did it!",Valentine shouted.

It was clear that he had heard her, for the corner of Gon's lips twitched up for a moment, before his face went stoic once more as the clown's eyes locked onto his own.

Eyes of chocolate gleamed with a fighting spirit and a perverted looked formed on Hisoka's face as a dangerous smile painted his lips.

'Critical hit for Gon! Two points!'

Loud and boisterous cheers broke through the stadium as everyone pretty much jumped in their seats with excitement.

"Amazing! Gon managed to land a critical hit! He's come back from a deficit to take a two-one lead. Gon is on top!"

But then, Cocoa noticed something.

"But wait a second, Hisoka looks just fine. In fact, it doesn't look like he took one very much damage at all. The referees call might be open to question"

Standing up straight, Hisoka calmly began to walk towards the boy and Gon's face filled with confusion for a moment.

"Oh, look at that! Hisoka has moved for the first time since the fight started and is that a hint of a smile I see? Can this mean that he's finally getting serious?"

Understanding what he was doing, Gon stood up tall and began to slowly walk towards Hisoka as well, his face not showing any emotion besides determination.

Stopping a few feet away from each other, Gon reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled something out, holding it out towards Hisoka.

Confused, Valentine stared at the object for a moment and before long, her face lit up as she realized what it was.

It was Hisoka's number badge from the Hunter Exam.

With a grin on his face, Hisoka reached forward and took the badge from the boy's hand, then they suddenly jumped away from each other; landing on each side of the arena.

"Woah! What was that all about? I have no idea!"

Holding up the badge, it suddenly tripled in Hisoka's hand and suddenly, disappeared all together in a cloud of pink smoke.

Flashes of the Exam passed through Gon's eyes and they hardened, which Hisoka noticed.

'One question',Hisoka spoke up, causing the green haired boy's muscles to tense,'How much have you learned about Nen?'

Perking up at his question, Gon's lips parted for a moment in shock, before his expression hardened once more and he stared at the clown with a stubborn gaze.

'I know all of the basics',Gon answered.

His eyes refused to reveal any emotion he was feeling about the question or his answer.

Letting out a hum, Hisoka gestured towards the boy and slowly spoke up.

'Ah, that means you're an Enhancer',Hisoka stated.

Letting out a noise of shock, Gon's eyes widened and his posture weakened for a moment, his shock distracting him.

'Ugh.. But.. how the hell did you know that?',Gon questioned.

Turning her head, Valentine and Killua connected eyes and it was clear that they were both confused by the matter as well.

Hisoka could tell what Gon's Nen class was that easily.

A small chuckle left Hisoka's lips and his shoulders moved with each laugh.

'You're so adorable and not very good at keeping secrets, are you?',Hisoka questioned.

A low growl left Gon's lips and his body tensed, his fists clenching in anger.

'Shut your big mouth!',The green haired boy shouted,'Just tell me how you knew!'

'It's personality analysis based on aura type',Hisoka explained,'It's not an exact science.. much like personality profiles based only on blood type. Enhancers are simple and determined'

Pointing at Gon, Hisoka watched as a drop of sweat fell down the side of his face as up in the crowd, Killua, Valentine, Zushi and Wing had sweat falling down their own foreheads.

He was right.

And it did fit Gon perfectly.

'Oh, and I am a Transmuter, by the way',Hisoka stated, gesturing to himself,'Both whimsical and a liar!'

He was right again.

'Emitters are short-tempered. Specialists tend to be independent. Conjurers are high-strung and nervous. Manipulators are argumentative, but logical'

Even though he was right, Valentine narrowed her eyes at the clown and a frown tugged at her lips, a small glare settling on her face, her lip pouted out a bit. Her face became deadpanned as she thought over his words and realized that, at times, she could be pretty argumentative, so it made sense that she was a manipulator.

Holding out his hand, Hisoka looked right into Gon's eyes as he said his next words.

'We're quite compatible, you and I. Our opposing personalities attract, we could become great friends..',Hisoka stated, before his eyes narrowed,'I'd be careful if I were you, as Transmuters are known to be fickle. And Manipulators are assertive and known to ignore what others have to say in order to do things at their own paces, even if it means hurting the ones they love; for they already know what is right. What was once treasured could easily become trash. So..'

Fixing his posture, Hisoka's aura spiked and Wing let out a sharp breath, sweat falling down the base of his temple.

'I really hope you don't disappoint me',Hisoka stated,'Gon'

Immediately, Hisoka sprung at Gon and elbowed him in the face, causing Valentine to wince as a small hiss left her lips.

That had to hurt.

But she couldn't help but admit, Hisoka was fast.

'He's fast!',Killua exclaimed, watching as Hisoka was now behind Gon.

Hit after hit was thrown and Valentine could barely keep up with their speed.

It was clear that Hisoka was no longer playing around and he was clearly enjoying himself; if Gon was going to beat him, he had to be faster.

'Critical hit, Hisoka! Bringing the score to three-two!'

"His non-stop flurry of attacks has been scored as a critical hit and Hisoka regains the lead!"

Letting out a small hum, Valentine observed Gon's situation and her eyes glowed brightly, time slowing down as everyone's cheering came to a slowing stop; time seeming to stop altogether.

She had to think.

But while she was doing this, time continued on.

'Gon looks confused and is backing off. Can't he fight back?'

Hisoka was moving too quick for Gon to keep up with him, that much was clear and to Valentine, she didn't know how her friend could win this match.

Maybe if he had balanced out the speed, making it so that neither was quicker or slower, Gon could possibly have a chance and then, he could boost his speed at the last minute, using that to his advantage.

But how could he go about it?

How could he win?

Suddenly, Valentine's eyes widened as her eyes glowed brightly as her Gyo activated and she saw a string of Hisoka's aura attached to Gon's cheek.

Realizing this as well, Killua, too, activated his Gyo and saw the aura attached to Gon's cheek.

'You've got to use Gyo!',Killua exclaimed.

Concentrating with narrowed eyes, Gyo formed around Gon's eyes and he saw the strand of Bungee Gum attached to his cheek, causing his eyes to widen.

'Do you even have the slightest idea, what's about to happen?',Hisoka questioned.

It was too late.

Suddenly, Hisoka dragged Gon towards him with the Bungee Gum and punched the boy across the face, causing him to fall to the ground.

Harshly biting into her bottom lip, Valentine drew blood and the bitter taste of copper coated her tastebuds as her fingers tapped along the arms of the seat.

Loud cheers bursted through the stadium and a low, angry growl left Valentine's lips as her hands tightened around the arms of the seat, her teeth clenching as her eyes narrowed.

Suddenly, that all came to a stop as she calmed down, a warm sensation suddenly placed itself atop of her hand and her muscles relaxed, her body untensing.

Her eyes flooded with the tiniest kiss of sun had caused her to pause and encapsulate into a state of mystification flecks of gold scattered through her iris.

His eyes were as deep as ocean, as enchanting as lotus petals and the color of ice. They were as serene as a morning dew and as dreamy as a starry night that she couldn't help but get lost in them as her anger was diminished.

His eyes shone like an ocean in the summer sun and his eyes shone as if sapphires indented in their flawless skin.

'Critical hit and knockdown, three points awarded to Hisoka!',The referee called out,'6 to 2!'

As the crowd cheered, Valentine and Killua snapped out of their dazes, feel their cheeks heat up like they were trapped within a desert itself, before they turned their gazes back towards the match.

Feeling her heart pound within her chest, Valentine lightly bit into her lip and cleared her throat, trying to pay attention to the match.

But that was harder than it looked.
