𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗦 you suspected, there they were, laying down in the tent. "Where'd you guys go? Couldn't find you for the fuckin life of me..."
"We saw you but figured you'd wanna hang out with that guy for a bit longer." Karasu sighs, stretching as he tries not to drop his phone on his face.
"He left to go find his friend once we got out? You coulda just come over to me anyway even if we were still talking.." Otoya grins as you hesitate to sit down between them like you usually would have by now.
"We figured you were busy, and besides I don't think we really wanna hear you flirt with guys.." The protractor nods in agreement. When they got like this--you often found them difficult to read. Were they mad, jealous, upset? Joking, grossed that you might be flirting with a guy or just fucking with you for fun?
They would switch through all of the above and most of the time there was no difference.
"We were just talking..im not you, toya." The use of his nickname you gave him had the effect you were hoping for, but you didn't get the luxury to see. For some reason it tugged on a certain string in his body--but not a visible one.
"Sure looked like it..." A hushed mumble came from karasu, who still hadn't looked up from his phone a single time.
"It did cause it was." You return an agitated grumble as you get in bed--unfortunately in between them. Silence fell over the three of you like a brick. No one spoke, not even a retort from karasu - instead he gripped his phone tighter from the tension.
Your stomach felt like it was twisting in knots as you lay your head on the pillow. You could faintly hear the sound of your own heartbeat as you tried to think of something, anything to say to break the deafening silence. But in the end, you didn't. You let the silence continue instead and it wasn't an exaggeration to say it was forever before your eyes could finally shut.

This is unfortunately just something you...haven't quite gotten accustomed to. As much as you'd like to lie and say that with all the time spent with them, you'd gotten used to it--but you just hadn't.
Everyone has their toxic traits and theirs just happened to be a tinge of jealousy. And this was just like the time in 7th grade when your school was hosting a festival.
"Would you like to go with me to the festival? I..I'm not sure if you're going with otoya and karasu, but if you aren't I'd like it if you went with me." In all honesty, the poor boy -- along with everyone else wasn't sure if you were in a relationship with either one or both boys. As much as you told everyone you weren't, with how you three acted, others found it hard to believe.
"Yeah sure, I'll go with you. Those two can deal without me for a lil while." Honestly you didn't know much about the boy in front of you, but you weren't against to going with him. It wouldn't be a bad thing to finally have your classmates see you hang around a different boy.
You'd never really thought about much, but if you had━━you would have realized that you never were annoyed by the rumors of you three dating. You thought it bothered them therefore you would act as though it was annoying.
But after the festival--everyone was now dead set on the fact that you three were not just friends. Not after the boy who asked you out was not the one you went with. He told you that he'd suddenly gotten a girlfriend and he'd now be going with her, but you saw the real reason he backed out of attending with you.
It was the end of the day; the classroom should have been empty. So, when you heard, "But you guys are just friends aren't you..?" From the same voice as the boy who'd asked you out, it was one of the last things you expected..one.
Peeking inside the slightly open door you saw your two best friends turn to each other. "Dude..bro listens with his ears closed.." Otoya mumbles. You had forgotten your jacket in class, and later you were grateful you did, or you wouldn't have ever known the real reason he bailed.
"No shit." Karasu smirked before starting up again, "Look man we're just lookin out for you..just let her down easy, yeah? She said she didn't want to say no to you..so if you just come up with some excuse, it won't be that awkward for either of you." He was seriously saying that you told him you didn't want to say no?
"You won't make her feel bad about it that way." Otoya added. Ever since you'd all gotten close in elementary school, you didn't keep friends well. Now it made sense why your friendships fizzled out so quickly. You knew they were jealous and a bit..possessive, but this was pushing it.
Yes, you probably should have said something. Honestly stupid that you didn't, but nonetheless you didn't. You pretended that you never saw what you saw, as you were supposed to. They never found out that you were there and unless a real fight between the three of you, 𝗜𝗧 𝗪𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗔𝗬.
