Serena's P.O.V.

For the next few days, I had continued to stay in the hotel, rehearsing for the concert, and I started to become more active on my social media. Some of my fans asked about the rumors that Aidan and I split, but I explained that we were still together, but we got busy with our schedules. Surprisingly, they seemed to buy it, even though we were lying to them, not wanting to expose our business to the entire world. 

Finally, it was Friday, the night that I had been waiting for so long to come. I had to be at the Rockpile for rehearsal at around 4:00, so I could get ready for the 6:30 show. By 3:30, Mrs. Gallagher had finished putting on my makeup and put my hair into a beautiful braid.

"Did Aidan say what time he gets off of work?" I asked. "He said he gets off at 5:00 tonight. Don't worry. I'll make sure he doesn't miss your performance," Mrs. Gallagher assured me as we got into the Uber and drove towards the venue. When we were about halfway there, I got a facetime call from Aidan. I immediately picked up, seeing the bright smile on his face. "You look stunning, Serena," He smiled, his cheeks turning a light pink.

"You're too sweet! What's going on?" I blushed. "Just getting a few scenes wrapped up, and then we'll be coming over to see you!" Aidan answered. "We?" Suddenly, some of the cast popped into the phone frame, smiling and giggling, and I couldn't help but smile wider. "Surprise! We're coming to the concert tonight!" Robert smiled, holding up his ticket. "Same with me!" Emmy grinned. The others held up their tickets and gushed about how I was going to do great and that they were happy that I was putting my name out there.

"Aww! You guys are awesome! I'll see you all tonight!" I said before I hung up. Mrs. Gallagher looked over at me with a smile on her face as we got closer and closer to the venue. When we finally pulled into the parking lot, my heart started racing a thousand miles an hour. I was about to go on stage again and sing my heart out. And I had never been more excited. "Hello! You must be Serena Waterbury! Come on in!" A black-haired woman smiled as we stood in the doorway.

"You must be Kate. We spoke over the phone a few weeks ago!" I smiled, extending a hand out to her. She shook it and gave me a brief tour before she took off to answer a phone call. There were a few people backstage who helped get everything set up. I sat down on a stool backstage, tuning my guitar and humming the lyrics to one of my songs. As I started playing one of the songs, my phone vibrated, and I looked up to see Aidan had texted me.

Aidan

Aidan: Almost there! I've got something for you after the concert!

Serena: Yay! I can't wait to see what it is!

Aidan: You'll find out soon enough!😊 

I continued practicing and did a quick mic test before I heard the sounds of people gathering outside. The doors opened, and people quickly pour into the venue while I had a mini panic attack backstage. "It'll be okay. It'll be okay. Just think about what Aidan said," I muttered to myself as I took a deep breath. "Thank you all so much for coming to The Rockpile tonight! Tonight, we have a special guest! Please give a warm welcome to Serena Waterbury!"

That was my cue, and I walked onto the stage, taking a deep breath in as the crowd burst with applause. In the audience, I could see Tom, Emmy, Robert, Blake, T.J, and a couple of other cast members. Towards the middle, I saw Aidan was watching me with a smile on his face. "Hey, guys! Thank you for coming tonight!" The audience burst with applause again. I gave a little introduction, and I brought out my guitar and played a beat.

"Let's get started!" I smiled as the crowd cheered once again.
