016. . . " relations and revelations"

[ do you get deja vu]

CHAPTER SIXTEEN !!
- > "RELATIONS AND REVELATIONS"

Tessa found herself in a whirlwind of emotions as she prepared for her interview on "The Late Night Show." It was a prestigious opportunity, one that would put her in front of millions of viewers to discuss her music, her life.

The studio was buzzing with energy when Tessa arrived. She was escorted to the green room where she found herself surrounded by handlers, makeup artists, and other staff members.
Despite the excitement, she couldn't shake the nervousness that gripped her stomach like a vice.

"Hey, Tessa! You look amazing," one of the makeup artists greeted her with a warm smile.

"Thank you," Tessa replied, trying to muster up some confidence.

Soon, she was guided to the stage where the host, a charismatic figure known for his insightful yet probing interviews, awaited her. The audience cheered as Tessa took her seat opposite him, the bright lights focusing on her.

"Welcome, Tessa! It's such a pleasure to have you here," the host began, flashing a charming smile. "Let's dive right in, shall we?"

Tessa nodded, trying to maintain her composure.

"Your new singles, 'Bad Idea Right' and 'Vampire,' have been topping the charts. Can you tell us a bit about the
inspiration behind these songs?" the host asked, leaning forward attentively.

Tessa took a breath, her nerves settling slightly as she delved into her music. "Well, 'Bad Idea Right' is about those moments when you know something isn't good for you, but you're drawn to it anyway. It explores the tension between logic and desire."

"And 'Vampire'?" the host prompted.

"'Vampire' is more introspective," Tessa explained. "It's about feeling drained by someone who takes more than they give in a relationship. It's a bit darker in theme but very personal."

The host nodded thoughtfully. "Both songs seem to touch on themes of love and relationships. Speaking of which, your album 'Sour' received critical acclaim for its raw emotion and relatability. How did your personal experiences influence the music on this album?"

Tessa's heart skipped a beat. She knew this question was coming. "Sour is a reflection of my journey through various emotions—heartbreak, betrayal, but also moments of empowerment and growth. It's definitely a personal album, and I think that's what resonates with people."

"And speaking of personal experiences," the host continued smoothly, "you've been quite open about your publicized relationship with Louis. How has that influenced your music and your creative process?"

Tessa hesitated for a moment, her thoughts racing. She knew she had to tread carefully. "Louis... he's been a significant part of my life. Our relationship, both on and off-screen, has certainly influenced my music. It's impossible to separate personal experiences from creativity.

The host leaned in, sensing the tension. "There have been rumors about the authenticity of your relationship with Louis. Would you care to clarify?"

Tessa felt the weight of the interviewer's question about the authenticity of her relationship with Louis like a punch to the gut. She swallowed hard, feeling the eyes of the audience and the millions watching at home fixed on her.

This was a moment she had anticipated and feared, knowing that whatever she said next could sway public opinion.

"I understand there have been rumors," Tessa began carefully, choosing her words with precision. "But I want to clarify that my relationship with Louis has been real. Like any relationship, it has its complexities and challenges, but it has also been incredibly meaningful to me."

The host nodded, sensing Tessa's sincerity. "Thank you for addressing that. It's clear that your music and personal life are deeply intertwined.

The interviewer leaned forward, his expression thoughtful yet probing.

"Tessa, you've mentioned that your relationship with Louis has been real. Can you share with us what it is about him that you love?"

Tessa took a moment to gather her thoughts, her gaze thoughtful as she considered her answer carefully. "Louis is... he's incredibly kind-hearted," she began, a soft smile playing on her lips. "He has this genuine warmth about him that draws people in. And he's passionate about his craft—acting. I admire his dedication and the way he brings depth to every role he takes on."

The host nodded, sensing Tessa's sincerity. "It sounds like you have a deep respect for each other's talents. How has your collaboration on and off-screen influenced your relationship?"

Tessa's smile widened slightly, her eyes reflecting a mix of fondness and nostalgia. "Working together on 'Enola Holmes' was a wonderful experience. We both share a love for storytelling, and being able to collaborate creatively brought us closer. It's a bond that goes beyond just acting—it's about supporting each other's growth and creativity."

The host nodded thoughtfully, considering her words. "And how do you navigate the challenges of maintaining a relationship under the scrutiny of the public eye?"

Tessa took a deep breath, her shoulders relaxing as she leaned back in her chair.

"It's definitely not easy," she admitted, her voice tinged with honesty. "There's a lot of pressure and speculation, but at the end of the day, we try to focus on what matters—our connection and respect for each other. We've learned to navigate the highs and lows together, and that has strengthened our bond."

The host nodded in understanding. "It sounds like communication and mutual respect are key pillars in your relationship."

"Absolutely," Tessa agreed, a sense of conviction in her voice. "We've had our share of challenges, like any couple, but we've always been honest with each other. That's what keeps us grounded."

"Moving forward, what can your fans expect from you?"

A small smile tugged at the corners of Tessa's lips as she leaned forward slightly. "Well, I've been working on some new music that I'm really excited about. I think it's a natural progression from 'Sour,' exploring different themes and emotions."

The audience erupted into applause, eager to hear more about Tessa's future plans. The host leaned in with genuine curiosity. "Can you give us any hints about the new album?"

Tessa chuckled softly, enjoying the playful banter. "Let's just say there might be some surprises in store. I'm planning to announce more details soon, so stay tuned!"

As the interview drew to a close, the host smiled warmly at Tessa. "Thank you for sharing so openly with us today, Tessa. It's been a pleasure to hear about your journey and your music."

"Thank you for having me," Tessa replied, her expression reflecting a mix of gratitude and relief. "It's been a wonderful opportunity to talk about what I love most—music and storytelling."

With a final wave to the audience, Tessa walked off the stage, feeling a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future.

Louis sat on the edge of his bed, his laptop open on his lap as he watched Tessa's interview on "The Late Night Show."

His heart raced with a mix of emotions—pride, longing, and a twinge of regret.

Seeing Tessa on screen, confidently discussing her music and their relationship, brought back a flood of memories and unresolved feelings.

He couldn't deny that the past few months had been tumultuous. The decision to fake a relationship with Tessa for publicity had seemed like a good idea at the time—a way to boost their careers and maintain a public image.
Yet, as they spent more time together, Louis found himself drawn to Tessa in ways he hadn't anticipated.

Her vulnerability and strength had always captivated him, even when they were together. But now, seeing her pour her heart out in front of millions, talking about their past and present, Louis felt a pang of guilt. He knew he had hurt her deeply, and they had never truly addressed the reasons behind their breakup.

As the interview concluded, Louis closed his laptop, his mind swirling with conflicting thoughts. He had tried to bury his feelings, to convince himself that their relationship was purely for show. Yet, seeing Tessa so open and honest made him question everything.

"Shit I'm still in love with her," Louis muttered to himself, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He hadnt been able to date other people since their breakup, trying to move on, but no one had ever compared to Tessa.

He remembered the good times they had shared—the late-night conversations, the spontaneous adventures, the way she made him laugh like no one else could. But he also recalled the pain of their breakup, the misunderstandings, and the mistakes they had both made.

Louis sighed heavily, feeling the weight of his emotions bearing down on him. He knew he needed to confront his feelings, to have an honest conversation with Tessa about where they stood.

But fear held him back—the fear of rejection, of reopening old wounds, of facing the truth that maybe they were meant to be more than just friends.

Lost in his thoughts, Louis glanced at his phone, hesitating for a moment before typing out a message.

Louis: Hey Tessa, I just watched your interview. You were amazing. Can we talk?

He hit send before he could second-guess himself, hoping against hope that Tessa would be willing to have the conversation they had been avoiding for far too long.
