CHAPTER SIXTEEN !!

Tessa found herself in a whirlwind of emotions as she prepared for her interview on "The Late Night Show." It was a prestigious opportunity, one that would put her in front of millions of viewers to discuss her music, her life.

The studio was buzzing with energy when Tessa arrived. She was escorted to the green room where she found herself surrounded by handlers, makeup artists, and other staff members.
Despite the excitement, she couldn't shake the nervousness that gripped her stomach like a vice.

"Hey, Tessa! You look amazing," one of the makeup artists greeted her with a warm smile.

"Thank you," Tessa replied, trying to muster up some confidence.

Soon, she was guided to the stage where the host, a charismatic figure known for his insightful yet probing interviews, awaited her. The audience cheered as Tessa took her seat opposite him, the bright lights focusing on her.

"Welcome, Tessa! It's such a pleasure to have you here," the host began, flashing a charming smile. "Let's dive right in, shall we?"

Tessa nodded, trying to maintain her composure.

"Your new singles, 'Bad Idea Right' and 'Vampire,' have been topping the charts. Can you tell us a bit about the
inspiration behind these songs?" the host asked, leaning forward attentively.

Tessa took a breath, her nerves settling slightly as she delved into her music. "Well, 'Bad Idea Right' is about those moments when you know something isn't good for you, but you're drawn to it anyway. It explores the tension between logic and desire."

"And 'Vampire'?" the host prompted.

"'Vampire' is more introspective," Tessa explained. "It's about feeling drained by someone who takes more than they give in a relationship. It's a bit darker in theme but very personal."

The host nodded thoughtfully. "Both songs seem to touch on themes of love and relationships. Speaking of which, your album 'Sour' received critical acclaim for its raw emotion and relatability. How did your personal experiences influence the music on this album?"

Tessa's heart skipped a beat. She knew this question was coming. "Sour is a reflection of my journey through various emotions—heartbreak, betrayal, but also moments of empowerment and growth. It's definitely a personal album, and I think that's what resonates with people."

"And speaking of personal experiences," the host continued smoothly, "you've been quite open about your publicized relationship with Louis. How has that influenced your music and your creative process?"

With a final wave to the audience, Tessa walked off the stage, feeling a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future.

Louis sat on the edge of his bed, his laptop open on his lap as he watched Tessa's interview on "The Late Night Show."

His heart raced with a mix of emotions—pride, longing, and a twinge of regret.

Seeing Tessa on screen, confidently discussing her music and their relationship, brought back a flood of memories and unresolved feelings.

He couldn't deny that the past few months had been tumultuous. The decision to fake a relationship with Tessa for publicity had seemed like a good idea at the time—a way to boost their careers and maintain a public image.

"Shit I'm still in love with her," Louis muttered to himself, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He hadnt been able to date other people since their breakup, trying to move on, but no one had ever compared to Tessa.

He remembered the good times they had shared—the late-night conversations, the spontaneous adventures, the way she made him laugh like no one else could. But he also recalled the pain of their breakup, the misunderstandings, and the mistakes they had both made.

Louis sighed heavily, feeling the weight of his emotions bearing down on him. He knew he needed to confront his feelings, to have an honest conversation with Tessa about where they stood.

But fear held him back—the fear of rejection, of reopening old wounds, of facing the truth that maybe they were meant to be more than just friends.

Lost in his thoughts, Louis glanced at his phone, hesitating for a moment before typing out a message.

Louis: Hey Tessa, I just watched your interview. You were amazing. Can we talk?

He hit send before he could second-guess himself, hoping against hope that Tessa would be willing to have the conversation they had been avoiding for far too long.
