on a fun little detour from spamming the covers of my current fics, i thought i'd drop in my favourite of my unpublished fics —
so i guess this is me basically exposing my drafts ahaha. i can't say i have that many drafts to be honest, mainly because i publish everything anyway (no self control gang), so a lot of my drafts are related to other books i am yet to finish 😬 BUT, there are some books here that i really love, and i really love their covers too, so lets take a deep dive.

okay, starting with one that is incredibly unnecessary, and incredibly niche. skater boy is a modern hunger games au, but it's also essentially lapis lazuli, transferred into a modern setting 😅 that does mean that i'll have to actually finish (or idk at least start) lapis lazuli in order to write it, but the concept is so fun that i just had to make graphics for it. imagine we have marvel — the guitar-loving skater kid who's a total class clown and he falls for annie, the straight-A politician's daughter from the private school uptown. SUPER fun, right? and the best part is, it all connects to VeeNyxx modern clato au ceasefire, as they're both part of the same panem high setting. so as you can see, the covers match together !!

right, so this is literally one of my favourite books ever, but again, i have to finish lapis lazuli to actually write it. i've really gotta get rewriting that book 😭 this one isn't quite as niche or random though, as it does take place in canon hunger games setting. it's essentially a prequel, expanding on a background plot that will eventually become relevant to marvel and antoinette's story (when i finally get there). the imagery purposely parallels LL with the roses and the grandeur, but it's tactfully darker and less soft, because this is not a happy story... 🫤 i don't want to go any further and give any spoilers, but if you can figure out which characters it follows from the young face claims, you win.

O'HARA CHRONICLES, 1/2: guys i love both this cover and this fic SO bloody much, i am so close to publishing it (especially now that it's spooky season). this book is book one of my scream duology, so it takes place during the first three movies! because of that, i really desperately wanted to capture that classic scream, 90s slasher feel with its cover — and honestly i feel like i got it. also i just love violet o'hara so much 🥺 she's a photographer and a teacher and she is truly my baby :((

O'HARA CHRONICLES, 2/2: and here we have the second book! i love the concept for this book because it gives us a new oc, who gets to be a part of the new generation of scream, but much like the other scream 5/6 characters, he connects back to the OGs (he is in fact, violet's son). it's a concept i love in the movies themselves so i really wanted to carry it over to the fics. and so, i wanted this cover to reflect the newer scream movies in it's aesthetic, whilst still matching well with book one! and griffin's character is just super interesting and complex. he mirrors violet in so many ways, but he has a really dark & vengeful side too.
