One year later~
"Your father called," Taehyung said, his voice calm yet deliberate.Jungkook's eyes flickered up from the book she was reading, her expression stiff as the memories from the past year replayed in her mind. Her father, a man who had been absent for so long, finally reaching out.She swallowed hard, unsure of what to feel. After a beat, she asked quietly, "Wh-what did he say?"
Taehyung exhaled softly, a mix of frustration and resignation. He placed his hand gently on her bare thigh, his thumb drawing slow circles over her pale skin. The touch was so familiar, so comforting, but it stirred a different kind of ease in Jungkook as the fabric of her skirt inched upward, exposing more of her thigh.
"He called us for dinner," Taehyung responded, his voice soothing. He kept his eyes on the road but couldn't resist drawing small patterns on her skin, offering the comfort of his touch. Jungkook shuddered slightly, she nodded, trying to hold back her emotions.
"Will you go?" she asked, the words feeling heavier than she intended.Taehyung leaned back in his seat, his posture relaxed as he drove. His gaze lingered on the road ahead, but his expression was thoughtful. "Do you want to?" he replied, his voice low, as if sensing the turmoil in her heart.
Jungkook looked down at her lap, her fingers tracing the veins on her hand absentmindedly, the soft hum of the car the only sound filling the space between them. She let out a small sigh, her voice barely audible. "Don't know~". The uncertainty in her tone didn't escape Taehyung. He glanced at her for a brief moment, his expression soft but serious. He could feel her hesitation, the internal struggle she was facing. It was clear she was torn, and he understood that.
"Let's see what he wants, hm?" Taehyung said, his voice steady, but his actions spoke volumes as he shifted in his seat and pressed down on the accelerator. The car sped up, the wind outside picking up as they moved through the streets.
As the car's speed increased, so did Jungkook's unease. Her heart began to race in sync with the rising momentum, a knot forming in her stomach at the thought of meeting her family again. The family that had once, so carelessly, sold her off to a stranger—sold her to Taehyung, with the sole purpose of relieving themselves from the burden of raising her.
Her fingers gripped the book tightly, but her mind wandered to dark corners. The memories of the past year resurfaced, uninvited—memories of her family's cold indifference, the feeling of being discarded, as if she had no value beyond being a pawn in their financial troubles. She felt the poundage of it all, and for a brief moment, she wished she could push those thoughts away.
But Taehyung, sensing her discomfort, glanced over at her. His gaze softened as he kept his focus on the road, but his hand subtly moved to rest on hers, offering a silent comfort. "You don't have to go if you're not ready," he said, his voice low and gentle. "I'm with you, okay?"
Jungkook's heart fluttered at his words. She looked at him, the man who had been her constant support, who had always protected her and made her feel loved. His presence was the only thing that made her feel safe right now.
But even so, the fear and uncertainty lingered in her chest. "I don't know if I'm ready," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the hum of the engine. "I don't know if I'll ever be ready." Taehyung took her small cold hand in its own warm ones, and caressed her knuckles softly and pecked them gently.
"I will be there with you, no matter what, okay? You don't have to worry about how you are going to face him," Jungkook nodded and asked, "At what time?" Taehyung stopped the car and unbuckled his seatbelt and said, "At five, we have one hour," and he went outside toward her side and open the door for her. Jungkook smiled at him and climb down from the car.
Taehyung gave her a warm smile, reaching out his hand to help steady her as she climbed down from the car. "We'll take our time, alright?" he reassured her, gently brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
Jungkook looked up at him with a small, grateful smile. "Thank you, Taetae. I'm really glad you're here with me." Taehyung squeezed her hand gently, his voice calm and reassuring. "Always, baby love. Let's go in, take a deep breath, and remember you're not alone."
Jungkook nodded, taking his words to heart, and they walked together, hand in hand, toward the entrance.
"Fuck baby, let's stay at home!!" Taehyung grunted as he took in the look of his baby who was looking so hot and magnificent, the black dress had an alluring look on her, her snow white skin tone outshone and made it look like, there was a diamond amidst the coal. Jungkook smirked in tiny and strolled toward the vanity with a model-like walk and elegantly sat on it.
Taehyung marched toward her and yanked her by her waist making her stand and fall into his arm, Jungkook gasped and looked up with an unconscious tilt that blew Taehyung out of his mind and he smashed their lips together.
As their lips met, Taehyung's grip on her waist tightened, pulling her even closer, his hands instinctively tracing her curves. Jungkook let out a soft gasp, her hands reaching up to tangle in his hair as she returned the kiss, her heartbeat quickening with each second.
When they finally pulled apart, Taehyung's gaze was intense, filled with admiration and passion. "You look so perfect, baby," he murmured, his voice low. "It's taking everything in me not to keep you all to myself tonight."
Jungkook blushed, a small smirk playing on her lips. "You know, we still have a few minutes before we need to leave," she teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief. Taehyung's lips curved into a grin as he leaned down, his forehead resting against hers. "Don't tempt me, sweetheart," he whispered.
"Because if you keep looking at me like that, we won't be going anywhere tonight."
Jungkook giggled and settled back down at the vanity, ready to do her makeup. But before she could pick up a brush, Taehyung leaned over with a mischievous glint in his eye and said, "Today, I'm doing your makeup."
Her eyes sparkled at the suggestion, and she clapped her hands in excitement. "Really? Okay!" she agreed eagerly, settling in and tilting her face up to him.
Taehyung smirked, rolling up his sleeves as though he was preparing for serious work. He picked up a foundation brush and began with smooth, even strokes, focusing with an intensity that made Jungkook smile. "Hold still, Mrs. Kim. We're going for a masterpiece here," he teased, earning a soft giggle from her. He blended each product with careful precision, taking his time as he shaded her eyes with a smoky, dramatic look that brought out her natural sparkle. He leaned back to admire his work and gave a satisfied nod, smiling as she looked up at him.
"Wow, you're actually good at this," Jungkook said with a grin, clearly impressed.
"Of course I am," he replied smoothly, picking up a dark, sultry shade of lipstick. He looked into her eyes with a playful expression and said, "Alright, time for the lips. Pout for me, baby."
Jungkook gave him an exaggerated, playful pout, and as he moved the lipstick closer, he paused and raised an eyebrow. Instead of applying the lipstick right away, he leaned forward and brushed his lips against hers in a soft, lingering kiss. Jungkook's eyes fluttered shut as she kissed him back, feeling warmth spread over her cheeks.
After a moment, he pulled back with a satisfied smile and finally applied the lipstick, tracing her lips with careful attention. Once he was finished, he stepped back, admiring his work. "Perfect," he murmured, a proud look in his eyes.
Jungkook looked in the mirror, grinning as she took in her bold new look. "I look amazing! You should do my makeup more often, Taetae," she said, turning to him with a grateful smile.
Taehyung chuckled, leaning down and pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Anything for my stunning Mrs. Kim," he murmured softly, running his fingers through her hair with admiration in his gaze.
Jungkook grinned, eyes twinkling, and leaned up to peck his lips playfully. "This is your reward," she said with a giggle. But before he could react, she stood on her toes and wrapped her arms around his neck, bringing him down to her height. She nuzzled close, her lips finding his neck as she planted soft kisses there, then lightly sucked on his skin. Taehyung closed his eyes, a pleased sigh escaping as he relaxed under her touch, warmth spreading through him. His arms tightened around her waist, holding her close and steady, giving her all the time she needed.
"Someone's feeling extra affectionate today," he whispered with a smirk, brushing his thumb in soothing circles on her back as she continued.
Jungkook only hummed, continuing her gentle attention with a small smile against his skin. For Taehyung, having her like this-close, affectionate, and playful-was everything, and he let her take the lead, his hold on her firm and supportive his heart full.
Jungkook pulled back slightly, admiring the little mark she'd left on Taehyung's tan skin, her fingers tracing it softly. Her wide, innocent eyes met his, giving her a look as if she hadn't just been bold moments ago. Then, standing on her toes, she tried to reach his face, her adorable struggle only accentuating her shorter height.
Taehyung, watching her with a smirk, chuckled, his gaze darkening with amusement as he effortlessly lifted her by the waist. Jungkook's lips curved into a playful smirk as she wrapped her arms around his neck, her face now level with his. She leaned in, letting her lips graze his softly, a light, teasing touch that lingered. Then, she nibbled on his lower lip, pulling it out slowly, her teeth leaving a slight pressure before she delivered a playful, sharp bite.
"Done?" Taehyung watched Jungkook's bright, innocent grin, her cheeks tinged a rosy red after his teasing. She nodded, replying with a cheerful, "Yup!" Satisfied but not quite ready to let her off so easily, Taehyung leaned in close, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous whisper. "But I'm not done, baby. Be prepared, because I'm not letting you go once we're home."
Jungkook's face turned a deeper shade of pink, her heart racing as his words settled over her. She managed a playful smile, a bit breathless as she replied, "Sure thing, Darlo." Her endearing response made Taehyung's eyes soften, though a smirk still lingered on his lips.
Still holding her securely in his arms, Taehyung carried her over to the bed to grab her handbag, effortlessly hoisting her as she giggled, her laugh light and slightly giddy. She swayed a bit, cozy in his arms, as he adjusted his hold to carry her in a classic bridal style. Her eyes sparkled as she gazed up at him, and he returned her look with a warm, fond smile.
Heading toward the door, Taehyung felt his own heart lighten just from her joyful energy.
