Whistle

Surprised, Kabir turned to see Meera who had just now whistled at him leaning against the wall.

"Was that for me?" Kabir asked raising his eyebrows.

"Nope...that servant behind you...its for him" Meera smiled as Kabir rolled his eyes at her. "He is looking very handsome na..thats why."

"Really? Then...see that girl over there?" Kabir pointed towards one of the many guests, "She is also looking gorgeous."

Meera giggled as Kabir stepped closer to her.

"Meera? Kabir?" Shivaay came upto them as Kabir stepped away. "What are you doing here?"

"Nothing Papa, Im going to get ready....Sona will help." Shivaay stared at her while Kabir nudged her. "I..I mean, I will help Sona get ready....cause she's the bride."

"Yeah and Im going to Jai's room!" Kabir explained. Meera & Kabir then started walking in different directions.

"Oops! Wrong way!" Kabir said and then they both crossed eachother and walked in the opposite direction.

"Is there something going on between these two?" Shivaay thought to himself. "Even in the morning they were acting strange and now again...weird."

(Shivaay's Look)

Meanwhile Meera quickly walked to Sona's room where Alia, Maya, Nandini & Anika were helping her get ready.

"Arre wah! Our bride looks so lovely!" Anika said, "Nazar na lage."

"Thank you Anika Mami!" Sona grinned and then she noticed her mom wiping some tears away, "Mom, what happened?"

"Its nothing....I was just thinking. Your Dad & I should have given you more of our time. We were always so busy with work that we couldnt spend enough time with you....and now you are getting married and will leave our home."

"Mom...pls dont cry." Sona hugged her mom, "I have no complaints against you & Dad."

'I hate this." Meera said.

"What?" Nandini asked.

"This rule...why do girls have to leave their mom, dad & family after getting married? Boys dont have to."

"She's right....thats not fair." Alia added hugging her mom.

"I for one will NEVER leave you, Ma!" Meera hugged Anika who chuckled.

"I wouldnt even let you go far from me." Anika lovingly kissed Meera's forehead.

"Anika I think we may have to find a  ghar jamai for these two...or atleast someone who doesnt live very far so we can visit everyday." Nandini said hugging Alia.

A while later...

"Bring the bride." The Pandit ji said. Krishna & Tanvi went upstairs to get Sona while Jai stoood at the mandap trying to look.

"Do you not have even a little bit of patience?" Meera shook her head at Jai who went red in the face. At that moment Tanvi & Krishna came back with Sona and Maya behind her.

"Look there comes Romeo's Juliet." Dev joked high fiving Meera who started laughing. Sona was brought upto the mandap where panditji started saying the mantras and they started the 7 pheres. After the pheres were done, they sat down and Jai made Sona wear the mangalsutra and applied sindoor. Everyone clapped and cheered while Jai & Sona looked like the happiest couple on earth.

"Wait....where are my shoes?" Jai said as he looked around. Alia, Tanvi & Krishna giggled and Jai just looked annoyed. "Guys seriously?"

"So sorry Jai...but stealing your shoes is a part of the wedding rituals....we had to. So hand us the money and we'll return the shoes." Alia held her hand out.

"How do we know the shoes are with you?" Pranav asked.

"Why would Alia lie?" Dev asked. Pranav smacked the back of his head.

"You are on the groom's side." He reminded Dev.

"Right."

"Ill show you guys." Alia went and got a box, opening it to show everyone.

"Ummm..Alia." Dev said, "There is nothing in here."

"What?" Alia turned the box towards her and saw that it was empty, "How is that possible? I put the shoes here."

"Well they arent there now...cause I have them.." Pranav announced proudly.

"Pranav!" Tanvi scolded him.

"Sorry Tanu baby....but Im on the groom's team." Pranav took out another box and opened it shocking everyone. Then Tanvi and the girls started laughing.

"Hahaha! Im sorry Pranu baby.."Tanvi said laughing, "but your box is empty too."

"What!" Pranav looked in the box and saw that Tanvi was right.

"Arre yaar...will somebody tell me where my shoes are!" Jai complained.

"With the bride's team." Meera spoke up.

"But we dont have them." Alia said looking confused.

"I have them." Meera said. "Maybe you guys forgot but Im on both teams. In this specific situation, Im on team dulhan...so when Pranav stole the shoes from Alia...I stole it back from him."

"Meera thats so not fair." Jai whined.

(Jai's Look but imagine Namish Taneja)

(Dev's Look)

"I know....now hand over the money."

"I dont think you have a choice....just give them money." Dev said. Jai frowned and gave the girls some money and then Meera returned the shoes. After that, Jai & Sona took blessings from all the elders.

"Whats this for?" Sona asked as Bhavya placed a large bowl filled with milk and rose petals infront of Jai & Sona.

"This is a game. Ill put the rings in here and whoever finds the rings first will rule during this marriage." Priyanka explained.

"Then toh Jai Bhaiyya already lost....Lets all go sleep now." Ishaan said.

"What? How did I already loose?" Jai asked.

"Because Sona Bhabhi is already the the ruler between you too.."

"Vaise....he has a point." Pihu said.

"Yeah, there is no way Sona will loose this." Dev added.

"Guys...are you my siblings or enemies?"

"Ok lets start now" Gauri placed the rings into the bowl and swirled it around a bit. Jai & Sona both put one hand each in and felt around for the rings.

"Go Jai/bhaiyya!"

"Go Sona/ bhabhi!"

"Found them! Found them!!" Sona squealed holding up the rings.

"See!" Ishaan pointed out, "I knew this would happen....thats why I rooted for bhabhi!"

"Jai!" Meera poked Jai in the side, "This time I was on your side...couldnt you have won?"

"I tried!"

"Anyway....I bought a gift for you...its in my room so Ill just go and get it." While everyone else continued playing games and having fun, Meera got up and walked upstairs to her room...unaware that she was being followed. Before she could enter her room, a hand covered her mouth and nose with a cloth, with his other hand he held Meera.

"Mmmm..mnn.." Meera instinctively reached behind her to fight whoever it was but another pair of hands grabbed her arms and pinned them down. Within minutes, Meera lost consciousness and went limp.

"Harman? Param?" A voice called the two men from behind. Quickly, the two men threw Meera into her room and closed the door. They turned back and saw Khanna walking towards them.

"Whats going on here?" Khanna asked.

"Sirji...we were just doing some cleaning." Harman started dusting the table that was nearby, "Kitni dhool miti hai yahan."

"Haan...its a wedding house so must keep it clean" Param added.

"But why here-"

"Khanna!" Shivaay called from downstairs.

"Ok...clean quickly and then do the other work." Khanna said and then left to see what was going on.

"Did he go?" Harman asked.

"Yep." They then opened Meera's room door and picked her up. When the coast was clear, they brought her downstairs and was looking around for a way out...when Kabir came. Harman & Param hid behind a pillar as Kabir started to go up the stairs but then he stopped and looked around, feeling a little uneasy. When he didnt see anything, Kabir went upstairs and Param & Harman came out from their hiding place. They walked towards a window and first dropping Meera out from there before climbing out them selves. A black van drove up and the two men threw Meera into the back.
