⌗ when Clarice was conceived, her parents were newly
married, both being only nineteen, her father was drafted
to serve in the military, his deployment would end up
taking his life six months later by an i.e.d.

though carly and clarice were recieving monthly
checks from the life insurance, it wasn't entirely enough
to pay for rent, utilities, formula and food, so carly
had to pick up three part time jobs, and send clarice
to stay with her grandmother while she did so.

it was at her bartending job that she'd end up meeting
paul, her later husband. clarice was 7 and didn't fully
understand why her mother was gone so much and then
suddenly returned with a man on her arm one day,
introducing him as her boyfriend paul. four years later
when clarice was 11, paul and carly ended up getting
pregnant with jill, making clarice an older sister.

when clarice went off to the fbi academy, she met
Fox Mulder when she was in her last year and was
completely head over heels for him from that
moment on, she called her mother to tell her
about it, and she encouraged clarice to talk
to fox. fox & clarice started dating shortly after,
and got engaged six months later.
